Description of Work: I initially called in to get an after-the-fact estimate on replacing the main sewer line from my house to the street because I found out last minute about the option of putting that cost on Minneapolis property taxes, but the city requires 3 quotes in writing (I only had verbal estimates). I ended up talking with Craig (he spent an hour of his time) about the pipe replacement job that was just completed and he was SO helpful and gave so much free advice and empowered me to to push back on the estimate change I received during the job. He truly wanted to learn about my situation and offered his expertise which enabled me to call the other contractor and get the price adjusted back down. Craig truly cares and knows the ins and outs, is very transparent about how he runs his business and how he does specific things to save the homeowner money. I wouldn't hesitate to have him fulfill my plumbing needs in the future. A+++

Description of Work: It took 4 calls to get a call back but they made up for their mistake - they were helpful and talked to my husband for 15 minutes - after the conversation they decided there was no work to be done today and to watch it for another year... he is helpful...

Description of Work: Cleaned out sewer line from house to connection with city sewer line.

Description of Work: Sewer backed up into basement last fall and again this May - the sewer clean out guys recommended Genes' Water & Sewer (they said I'd find a cheaper bid, but not better work). Craig came and ran the camera and you could clearly see a busted sewer pipe somewhere out in the yard. I had researched costs and knew if the street and or sidewalk needed breaking to get to the pipe we would be looking at $7,000 plus and I went into a panic - We lucked out the prior owners had already replaced part of the sewer because of a breakdown in 2005. Long story short - Gene's Sewer discovered that our house (lucky us!) had Orangeberg sewer pipe (essentially paper sewer pipe) from World War II down there and they recommended replacing everything from the prior repair to the street (my initial estimate was for $2200) If you read about orangeberg pipe and see pic online you'll understand why I said to fix it all. The best part was they were able to connect without breaking any concrete which saved me a ton of money. They replaced all the dirt and were done the same day. They always responded via email or phone promptly too. Wish this sewer pipe break didn't happen on my watch, but it did, and we are done!

Description of Work: GENE'S WATER AND SEWER HAD TO REPLACE THE LINE GOING OUT TO THE CITY HOOK UP. THE YARD TOWARDS THE CITY WAS DUG UP TO REPLACE THE PIPE.

Description of Work: PORTION OF EXTERIOR SEWER PIPE HAD BROKEN; GENE'S CAME OUT TO INSPECT, ESTIMATE AND FINALLY EXCAVATE AND REPLACE BROKEN PIPE.

Description of Work: THE CLAY DRAIN TILE LEADING FROM OUR HOUSE TO THE CITY SEWER BEGAN TO COLLAPSE. OUT IN THE STREET, THEY DUG DOWN TO FIND THE PROBLEM ($3300) AND THEN PULLED A FABRIC/EPOXY LINER FROM THE STREET TO THE HOUSE ($5000) TO PREVENT COLLAPSES IN OTHER AREAS OF THE PIPE.

Description of Work: LINED THE MAIN FROM MY HOME TO THE CITY LINE IN THE STREET IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE.

Description of Work: THEY REPAIRED/REPLACED OLD SEWER PIPES THAT RAN FROM MY BASEMENT UNDER MY PORCH AND YARD OUT TO THE STREET; ALSO INSTALLED A NEW MAIN CLEAN OUT IN MY BASEMENT.
