+ -1 moreCarson was the contact person for my project. His customer service skills were horrible. There were times where he took days to reply to messages, rarely responded to a text on the weekend even though he frequently scheduled work on the weekends. Didn’t have contact with installers on a critical date when I was expecting everything to be completed. A project that should’ve taken two weeks wound up taking four months. Yes, four months! I spent hundreds of extra dollars on a pod in my driveway and had to keep large amounts of furniture in my garage because of Carson‘s mishandling of scheduling the project and the lack of completing the job well. He gave a very professional initial proposal and unfortunately, I fell for it. I have screenshots of many of the texts. The most ironic one was the final payment. When everything was finally fixed (closet doors that weren’t put on correctly, giant gaps between the wood and the walls, doors that wouldn’t shut, bags of garbage sitting in my driveway), he asked if he could get my final payment. I said I needed the warranties which he had promised me. He then didn’t contact me again for two weeks and then came back to the text thread and said oh I’m sorry I’ve been sick. Can I have your money now? Not in those exact words, but the frustration was that he didn’t contact me for two weeks and then all of the sudden I was supposed to drop everything for him. That’s how I felt the entire project was. He should’ve been dropping everything for me and I had to drop everything for him. Most frustrating project I’ve ever experienced. And when all is said and done, he gave me $200 off for his screw up, referring to it as a “miscommunication“ and never even said thank you for my business.
Description of Work: Refinished hardwood floors on my main level, installed hardwood on my stairs, and three bedrooms upstairs and installed hardwood in complete living space on my lower level. There was a $5000 unexpected expense that I was not provided an estimate with before the services were done.
