Foley Stucco did a great job. The cost was much less than the other stucco companies I contacted.

The process went very well from start to finish. They responded quickly to my initial inquiry, answered all of my questions and did exactly what they promised. I am very happy with the finished product. I have a Tudor style house built in 1929 and the chimney is a very prominent feature of the front of the house, so the work they did made a big improvement in my house's overall appearance.
Description of Work: They removed all of the stucco on my entire chimney that was loose or deteriorated. They ensured that all of the flashings were properly protecting the chimney. They also ensured that the chimney cap was preventing any leaks and made all necessary repairs to ensure its long term effectiveness. They then installed metal lath on the entire chimeny, including those sections of stucco that were not removed. They applied a two-coat brown coat on the entire chimney. The finish coat was colored and textured to match the stucco on the existing home as closely as possible.

Patrick first arrived to review the job and provide an estimate. He was professional and knowledgeable. The repair required a two step process - first the stucco was applied and two weeks later the area was painted. Although there was a minor problem with the paint job, Patrick responded promptly and remedied the issue immediately. The company did an excellent job.

They were great! Ken Moore (the estimator and finish-guy) was up-front and very educational about what needed to be done when he priced out the job. Nice guy to work with. Their price was in the middle of the three quotes that I got, and in the long run, seemed pretty affordable. Their three man crew was on-time and worked fast and meticulously cleaned up after they were done. Definitely recommend them.
Description of Work: Foley stucco completely demolished, removed and replaced the stucco foundation around my entire house. They used a brown tinted stucco, and finished the stucco with a hand-troweled look. They offered to color-match and finish-match the stucco on the rest of our house, but in the end, we went with a brown tinted stucco to offset the yellow of the rest of the house. It looks great.

I got 4 bids to re-stucco the first level of my 1914 bungalow, and Foley wasn't the lowest, but their price was very competitive. I found all of the bidders on Angie's List, and all had great reviews. I chose Foley because they seemed genuinely interested in the project and in doing a good job, which also included adding some counter-flashing on the wall that my deck is attached to, some minor crack repairs, etc., and patching around 2 new doors. John and Patrick arrived promptly to provide the estimate, and both were very pleasant and professional. The project involved sandblasting to remove peeling paint and old whitewash on the stucco, followed by 2 coats of new stucco. They were also very flexible on the scheduling, which involved doing the sandblasting and minor patching first, then waiting several weeks for me to have a patio door and new rear entry door installed, then coming back to patch around the new doors, then coming back yet again to do the actual stucco work. In each case, they were very responsive to my timing requests and arrived promptly, as promised. There was virtually no mess left after the sandblasting, and none of my new landscaping was damaged. Ditto on the stucco work itself. They did a great job of cleanup. When it came time to pick the new color, John came over with several samples, but he also took the time to drive with me around the neighborhood a bit to check out other houses. I wasn't home during the sandblasting, but I was here when the stucco crew arrived. They were very pleasant and went right to work. They also did a great job of taping everything off and worked very fast. The project was done in a day. It looks great! I would definitely recommend Foley to anyone.

The crew worked quickly and cleanly. The work was done over a week, taking two mornings, first to prepare the damaged section and then to apply the finish coat. All the appropriate flashing was included and the color and texture match is impressive.

We got the estimate in December as we were preparing to close on the house, and when we were ready to have it done in the spring, the estimate was very close to the one they had quoted us nearly six months earlier. The work took about a week. It was a little unclear when they were working or not. The scaffolding was up a few days longer after they completed the work before they came back to disassemble it, which wasn't really a problem. The work was excellent, from what we can tell.
Description of Work: Foley repaired our crumbling stucco chimney, replaced a broken mortar cap, and re-did the flashing on the entire chimney to match the rest of our house. We got the estimate in December as we were preparing to close on the house, and when we were ready to have it done in the spring, the estimate was very close to the one they had quoted us nearly six months earlier.

The work was done very well and very quickly. I needed to get the work done before winter and they found a way to get the work done on the last few warm days of Fall. I was a little apprehensive because their price was much lower that the other bids I got, but I am very satisfied with the result. The extra brick work cost a little more than the original bid for the stucco work, but I still think it was reasonable. The crew was great.

Foley was quick to get us a quote and quick to get started and finish the work (other than for weather related delays). When removing the stucco, parts of the existing stucco along the transition points (between the old and new stucco) got impacted, requiring us to re-stucco additional sections of the front of the house. We had not anticipated that, and because Foley had not discussed that potential issue with us, they agreed to do the additional work at cost, which was agreeable to us. As the project proceeded, the scope of it grew as we ran into rotting wood and other problems, but Foley was very accommodating on all the changes/additions. I would certainly recommend them.

It went very, very well. John came promptly to quote the job. The quote was the least expensive by over 50%. The work commenced within a day of the quote which was a relief because of the weather. The crew was courteous, friendly, able to answer questions, cleaned up immediately, and was back two weeks later as promised to add the final finishing quote. I would defiantly use Foley Stucco again.

Easy to get ahold of and returned calls quickly. Someone came out to look at the job and then I was called with a verbal quote. I asked to meet with someone to go over what exactly would be done and requested a written estimate. Marcus(?) called and set up an appointment for Saturday. He seemed a bit put out that I wanted to meet in person. At least that's what I felt. When he stopped by it was brief and he seemed to be in a hurry - he had his wife/girlfriend waiting in the vehicle. When I received the written contract I signed it and wrote "could they still fit it in this year?" I never got an answer. I went out of town for 4 days and when I got back the job was just about finished. I found my garden hose/cart lying on the side of my house with what I guessed were remnants of the concrete they were using. That evening when I returned home, the hose was rolled up and the cart back in place - unfortunately still with concrete on it. I do wish more communication would have taken place.
Description of Work: The stone base of my archway was falling apart on both sides and they did some pointucking where needed around the stonework in the front of the house.

Fired Foley after sandblast - will not use them for redash. Sand in my windows, sand in my doors, in my door closer, in my storm door hinges. Sand was so packed in the hinges the door wouldn't shut. They also sandblasted my window (etched). MY TUB WAS FILLED WITH SAND, MY BATH FAN WAS FILLED WITH SAND. I have a wall mounted bath fan that they did not cover. During the sand blast I stopped at home and noticed the plastic that they covered the windows with was falling off and all the openings were filled with sand. I asked one of the workers about that and he said that they would blow them all out with air. WASN'T DONE. I spent 1-1/2 hours cleaning all this up after a long day of work. The company rep Ken Moore was not synthetic to my concerns. He put virtually every thing back on me. He couldn't believe that in the 35 years that he has been doing this that someone could complain about sand in the storm door hinges. Continued to argue with me and not offer a resolve, I said bye bye now.

Foley Stucco demonstrated professional, high quality work from start to finish. John was quick to respond to our inquiries and was particularly helpful in his willingness to to create the exact color we were looking for. The sandblasters, subcontracted by Foley Stucco, worked quickly and took care to leave our yard and that of our neighbors clean. The stucco guys likewise did high quality work, completed the job quickly, and left our yard spotless. We highly recommend Foley Stucco.

This was a very positive experience with a such a remarkable outcome. Kenny Moore was the sales rep/master re-dasher. He was terrific at getting back to us with all of our phone calls. He has a professional answering service handle his messages and he is prompt about getting back to you. He was extremely helpful with us as my wife and I were indecisive about the color. He provided many color samples, lathe and cement with the color. He was also willing to visit houses that we saw that we liked a color or texture. The crew was very polite and friendly. They did a great job in communicating during the job. They made us part of the decision making process at any point where there was a question about how to proceed. They were also very amenable when it came to removing and patching 2 old electrical conduit ceramic junctures that were still attached to the house. Great crew and service.
Description of Work: Re-dashed the entire house. Repaired a major crack in the chimney. The chimney repair required new steel lathe and they also removed a large stone to install flashing and replaced the stone to its position. Additional flashing was installed during the chimney repair. Entire house was prepped and covered. Base and top coat of cement with pigment with the original brocade trowel work was duplicated. The house was built in 1933 and had not had ever been painted or re-dashed.

FOLEY DID A VERY NICE JOB. THE COLOR ON OUR HOUSE TURNED OUT VERY DIFFERENT (NEON BLUE VS. A LIGHT WEATHERED GRAY/BLUE). THEY TOOK $3,000 OFF THE PRICE SO WE COULD HAVE THE HOUSE REAPAINTED ONCE THE STUCCO CURED. THIS WAS DONE WITH NO HASSLE OR BICKERING WHATSOEVER. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THE ONLY COMPLAINT WE HAD WAS THE SANDBLASTERS THEY SUBCONTRACTED WITH WERE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. THEY HAD TO BE CALLED BACK TO FINISH THE JOB.
