I saw the ceiling bubbling in the dining room and wanted a local plumber--ENP is in Longfellow and they responded immediately with an appointment early the next week. John was courteous, professional and unassuming. He kept our home clean as he investigated the source of the leak, explained the lead pipe issue in nontechnical terms, and replaced both pipe and toilet within three days. He also gave us references for a couple of contractors to drywall the ceiling. The price was less than I expected, and the cleanliness was more than expected! Hope I won't need a plumber for a few years, but now I have peace of mind in knowing who to trust.

These guys are going to be our go-to plumbers from here on out. When you call, their voicemail clearly states their prices and how far out they are booking, which is hugely helpful. I got a prompt return call and they were able to come out the next day. The plumber showed up on time and finished in the time he thought it would take. Price was as estimated. Overall, I was really impressed with the workmanship and professionalism.

I love this company and will never use any other plumber ever again. Erik and his employees are consistently top-of-the-line professional: patient with all my questions, thorough and careful, friendly, and kind. Trip fee/diagnostic fee of $40 since no work was performed--you absolutely cannot beat that.

We are extremely pleased! When I talked to Erik about the job, I immediately felt a sense of relief. He's very professional, helpful, and transparent about pricing. Pricing is very fair. I knew I was making the right choice. They are busy but I expected that based on the reviews I read so I was prepared to wait 3-4 days until they had an opening. Justin and Andy arrived on time and were extremely professional. They were prepared and worked efficiently and conscientiously to take care of all our issues the same day. We highly recommend Erik Nelson Plumbing!

Fantastic! The plumber explained why the other seal had failed (not installed by them), and used the remainder of the work hour to investigate , explain and fix a problem on a different toilet. Prompt, professional, expert.

Erik has been so great to work with. I seriously appreciate his punctuality and clear communication. I had three quotes on my water heater install. Home Depot was cheaper by a little, but doesn't offer as good of a warranty, and I believe strongly in supporting small local companies. The other quote from a local company seemed extravagant next to Erik's, and Erik also did a much more thorough investigation of the space before offering an estimate. He had some helpful suggestions about how to install a pan and a little bit of extra piping to prevent a leak from damaging my finished basement carpeting. So I went with Erik, and I couldn't be happier with the install. I later had a different plumbing problem unrelated to the water heater. I found a mold spot in my laundry room and had to rip out some dry wall. As it turns out, the previous owners of my house had installed a floating shell by drilling some screws STRAIGHT INTO A PLUMBING PIPE, causing a slow steady leak. No wonder there was mold! I called Erik, since I knew I could trust him after the water heater install. He showed up exactly on time, discovered the source of the leak, and had the problem fixed in little over an hour. I am so impressed with his efficiency and fairness of pricing. It's great to have someone in my neighborhood whom I can trust. Thanks!
Description of Work: Water heater replacement. Later (unrelated to water heater install), a pipe repair.

Erik and Adam were competent, punctual, respectful, neat and fair -- what else would one ask for in a plumber? I had wanted to include the upstairs bath in the re-pipe, and Erik let me know he could certainly do that, or he could hold off and do it with the coming year's kitchen remodel when walls are open, and that would save me some money. Erik and Adam worked as a team, communicating well with each other and addressing my curiosity throughout the process. I felt comfortable having them work on my house, and will call them back for the kitchen remodel and upstairs bath.
Description of Work: Re-piped with pex the whole house except kitchen and upstairs bath. Replaced cartridge in upstairs shower valve. Removed and disposed of unused sink, as well as all unused galvanized pipe. New connections to basement laundry, sink and toilet, main floor bath fixtures, and two outdoor spigots.

Erik and Adam were extremely professional, knowledgable and efficient in their work. They were really respectful of us, our dog and our home. Their bid was fair and the 2" future vent they discovered saved us roughly $1,000. We really enjoyed working with them and have zero complaints. We'd definitely use them again in the future and have recommended Erik to family and friends. They get booked up quickly so if you have a project that is completed in multiple phases, I would plan ahead and get on their calendar.
Description of Work: Per the provider's bid, he and his assistant Adam, installed a main floor ¾ bathroom. Main stack was braced at both floors and cut in basement. Fittings for new drains were installed. Drain and vent piping were installed for toilet, sink and shower. Three part shower pan drain installed. Kitchen sink was relocated as well and vented through counter wall. Portion of kitchen drain was fabricated in crawlspace of basement. Main floor fixture vents converged into one 2" vent that runs up through main floor, into second floor closet and ties into a 2" future vent that was discovered. Gas range was relocated. Icemaker line was installed for fridge. It was necessary to run a portion of the 2" vent exposed on the main floor. A dropped ceiling was installed by contractor. New water lines were run for all fixtures. Two shower valves were installed and ¾" piping run from basement to fixtures were necessary. Kitchen water lines were run inside cabinet wall to avoid freezing. Water lines were run in PEX. Upon completion of contractor work we returned to install fixtures, run water line to fridge and gas line to range. All fixtures were tested for leaks and we conducted a final pressure test on the system to ensure no piping inside the wall is leaking.

They helped us with every step, even though we were trying to do as much work ourselves as possible. Erik helped us plan the layout, pick out fixtures, and even gave us tips on breaking up our concrete floor. When our initial shower stall selection wouldn't work (our own fault for bad measurements), he found us a new one at Menards and went to pick it up for us. They went above and beyond our expectations, and their work looked great. They were always there when they said, and cleaned up after themselves. Now that our bathroom is done, everything works great. On top of all of that, they came in with the lowest bid of 4 places! The amount we spent included a new water heater and the shower they got for us. I've already referred them to one family member, and I won't hesitate to call them next time we need a plumber.
Description of Work: Erik Nelson plumbing helped us install a new bathroom in our basement, including the plumbing rough-in (we broke up and re-poured the concrete floor ourselves), and they installed the fixtures after the walls were up. They also installed a badly-needed new water heater.

I called Erik for a simple job, asked his hourly rate (which seemed fair), and setup an appointment to do the work. Erik and his helper showed up on time and after a quick walk through got right to work. They completed the work in about the time and price I estimated and I was very pleased with their work. I would definetly use him again.

It couldn't have gone better. All of the water pipes in my house were replaced in less than 1 week. He kept everything nice and clean and couldn't have been easier to work with. He did leave some holes in the drywall but let me know about this before moving forward. I was able to patch them myself. He also added some valves and replaced some exterior spigots at no additional charge.
Description of Work: Erik replaced my galvanized water pipes with copper. I knew that I had incompatible metals in my plumbing from my home inspection and was having major water flow issues. After inquiring about a quick fix to this issue, Erik indicated that he could probably get it going but that the overall problem would persist. there was no pressure; he just laid out the facts and let me make the decision.
