Equity King Painting

We contracted with John in July of 2024; to date he has repeatedly said he would be out but never shows up. I would not recommend using John for any services. See Below: June 20th, 2024 my wife contacted John to refinish one base cabinet in our laundry room John came out to gather information for an estimate July 15th, 2024 we contracted with John and paid a $1,000 deposit. Aug 9th, 2024 John said it would be 2-3 weeks Aug 22nd, 2024 John said it would be 2 weeks Sept 14th, 2024 we asked for our $1,000 back Sept 24th, 2024 John said the work would be done the next week On Nov 20th John said the work would be done in the first week of December On Jan 4th, 2025 John said the work would be done next weekend My wife is exasperated and asked me to help March 17th, 2025 I called John and he agreed to come out the week of March 17th I texted John to ask when he would be out on Monday the 17th: John: Monday is one of the last days in the current big project, before they move in. I thought we said let's talk about nailing down a time, not for sure Monday- I can do Thursday or Friday next week, or the following week any day. Do any of those days work? Me: Yes Thursday (March 20th) what time do you start? John: Usually 8-9, I'll text when loaded up and on the way with an ETA, sound good? Me: Yes Thanks March 19th John: Hey Mike, still wrapping up this house for the move in- any chance we could do next week or the following? Please let me know, thanks. Me: John, no we have waited long enough. You need to follow through on your commitment. John: I do, absolutely need to finish this house first March 24th: Still not quite ready- can we do later this week or next week? Me: John Call me No call, and did not answer the phone

John from Equity King Painting has done excellent job to transform our older cabinets into looking like new ones. He emphasized on every details in painting and cabinets resurfacing. He also made sure his painting work wouldn’t interfere with our other remodeling works. He is very polite and sincere. He always communicated with us promptly so we were informed on the progress of the project. Both my wife and I are very pleased with his work and satisfied with the overall project.

It was perfect more I expected, the worker was professional and very educational.

He's got great attention to detail. He seems picky and loves his cabinet work, and wants to get more into that business. We're very happy with his work. He listened to what we wanted and needed. Make sure and work to get things right. He's very talented.

John & his team were absolutely fantastic. Did a great job masking / prepping and painting for a full kitchen & cabinet spray and bathroom vanity finish. Not a drop of paint got where it wasn’t supposed to. Paint looks incredible! No drips, visible imperfections, or uneven spray. We are incredibly happy with his work and have already hired him for the next job. We would recommend to anyone!
