We had a basement that was finished back in the 70s as a DIY project. It was a tight, unpleasant room to be in. We went to Edgework with the goal of gutting it and coming up with something that we could really use as well as adding a second bathroom to the house. We also gave them a pretty aggressive budget. They came up with a great design, higher than we wanted, but with options to get it back down easily. This was really helpful for making good decisions. The presentation was excellent for showing us everything to come - looking back, the design graphics look almost the same as the finished project! They were also completely open about what the timeframe would be and the impacts that supply chain problems could cause. In the end, everything was basically on schedule. Kevin, Chris and all the other contractors were friendly and dependable. We had an app that showed us the schedule and it was up to date so that we could plan around major work. They never even let our cats out. The design build process was perfect for us. In a 1950s house, we knew we would run into some unplannable work. Discovered asbestos, issues in our HVAC, and an ancient electrical panel were all addressed with minimal impact on the budget. Our entire house improved as a result of their careful work. We couldn't be happier with the result.

Donella was our designer and she was simply awesome to work with - she took the time to listen to what we wanted and what was most important to us. Then she layered on creative ideas and insights to build a design that we knew we'd love. And she was there with us throughout the project, helping us with selections and tweaks as we progressed. Kevin was our project manager and made the entire process simple. From his clear timelines, daily and weekly updates to helping us navigate options throughout the entire project, he was fully committed and readily available to answer any questions. Chris was also a regular on-site assisting Kevin and Chris helped ensure that a myriad of daily happenings went off without any major hitches. Simply an amazing team of professionals whom you'd be lucky to work with! Edgework's quality is evident along the way and as we look at the completed project. Whether it was their insights on selections to help ensure the right quality and finish, or the standards their workmanship and that of their subcontractors were held to, they didn't disappoint. If something wasn't just right, they probably noticed it and were working on it before we ever noticed. And if we saw something which we had questions about, they immediately took our concerns to heart and resolved it. I'm proud to show their work off to anyone, it's simply that good! Lastly, Edgework's partners. We've seen some subcontractors used by others and heard countless stories about individuals who simply didn't care or didn't treat the home as their own. That was not the case with Edgeworks. It's clear they select and work with some of the best - every single contractor who came into our home arrived dressed professionally for the job, was polite and treated our home how we expected it to be treated. We had such a wonderful experience with Edgeworks that we'd turn to them again for a future remodeling project. We contracted with Dave and the EdgeWork Design team to build a mudroom for us ... which involved some plumbing work (to install a dog-washing sink), adding a new wall with a sliding glass pocket door, and a lot of cabinetry work. We were very pleased with the final result! Dave met with us quickly to draw up plans, consider options, and arrive at an agreeable budget. The project started about when Dave said it would, and lasted as long as he said it would. His contractors were pleasant to work with, kept messes to a minimum, and communicated well as a team. The whole project came in at the expected budget, and the final product met our expectations and looks great. Really couldn't have asked for more!

Their services were great. As a designer and contractor they did a good job.

The renovation went well. The relationship piece with initial design was professional and exciting . Follow up design was not professional and the recommended kitchen designer did not allocate enough time or interest in our project. The cabinet maker does quality work but did not reach out during finalization and cover details effectively. The designer was assigned these details and did not attend to our requests. Cabinet orders were submitted in haste. The designer did help with granite work and did a nice job arranging layout. It was my first impression she was spread thin and had little time to contribute to the overall time consuming details with exception to the granite work. After we realized her lack of commitment we became more assertive with finish and follow through and this seemed to work well with Kevin. Direct communication was necessary in order to achieve final results. The penalty for change costs added a great deal to our financial commitment to this company. We love the end result and would be happy to share with others. We do feel the percentage for up charge on change orders were unreasonable. Overall, we felt the quality of work was worth the experience😊

We ended up going with someone cheaper, and with greater value.

Design was easy and very flexible. It was easy to work with them to make changes as things came up. They suggested places to go pick out tile and granite as well as they made suggestions of tubs, etc to use but gave me the link to see if there was something different I would prefer. Stayed pretty much on schedule - although it slipped a week or so due to longer drying time for all the mudding of dry wall due to rain. I had a preferred painter to use, which they worked well with, but in retrospect, I should have had them general contract this as well as its dragged on a bit. Quality is very high - very happy. They added details that I didn't even know to expect, but look great! Overall, great design, very flexible and good quality.

Edgework was super responsive, great to work with and paid great attention to detail. All the subcontractors they brought in were an arm of this same type of professionalism. We would definitely use them again.

Communication was excellent. The most professional company I have ever hired. Made sure we were happy and most of all, made sure everything was done correctly and to the highest standards.

The guys were great. Fast to respond, quick to get started. I needed my project done by a specific date, and they met all of my expectations. The Edgework crew helped me make good decisions based on my budget.

I will never use angieslist big deal as I never get contractor to show up. This one was no exception. Additionally angieslist has limitations on what will be refunded even when no work was actually performed. Good luck consumers.

Edgework added a bathroom on our second level. They turned a small cedar closet into a beautiful, spacious bathroom by adding a small dormer. The bathroom looks amazing! The owner Dave was receptive to ideas, and had great suggestions for the design. The project manager, Kevin, was extremely helpful and responsive to our concerns throughout the process. While the price was not the lowest, they did premium work, and it shows.

It went fine. The quality of work wasn’t as good as I expected. I hired them to do various things.

David Stockdale, from Edgework Builders, came out to measure our basement and provided a design/plan for remodeling. He came out very quickly after my initial call and came up with a wonderful design. Although he offers remodeling/refinishing services, he did not pressure us to go with his company for the final remodel. The plan included both 2-D (with measurements) and 3-D pictures. We will definitely be using his plan; and, if we choose not to finish our basement ourselves, would absolutely consider Edgework for job.

The service did not turn out so well. I had to have them come back and do some work over again.

Perfect job. Backsplash is perfectly aligned. Also found a way to make the trip and doors work on the new cabinet so that it would match the old cabinets. Very punctual, personable, neat and clean as well.

It is somewhat a slow process. I never got a final bid and quite a bit of time have gone by. He gave me the design but I can’t move forward because I have no idea what the cost is. I did not pay anythign more than the big deal. He sent me the plan and sent me a follow up email after a few emails I sent asking for additional information. He said he would put the pricing together on it and I never got it. It was excellent in terms of working with him and the plan, so I was very happy with it. It is possible that I might be outside his working area and so maybe he is not real excited about coming down here but I don’t know. I haven’t communicated with him recently and I have busy too.

The guy who came out was excellent. He had ideas to help us save money and even stayed late to finishnthejob.

The initial response timing was 3 (+) weeks. Once connected with the provider timing continued to be one of the bigger issues. The provider met me at my residence. He was very courteous and attentive. He seemed to listen to what I would like to do with my unfinished basement. I explained my wants/needs in remodeling/finishing my basement I he promised various options of what to do with the existing space. I was told that the provider was extremely busy and that he wouldn't be able to provide me the plans right away -- but that it would take two weeks. I appreciated the honesty and that he wasn't going to over promise and under deliver. The two weeks had passed and I waited for the third week. I then contacted the provider and he stated he was finishing up on prior obligations and that he expected he could get to my plans within the next couple of days. At the end of those two days I received 1 plan. To say the least; I was not impressed with the plan and the use of space within the plan. There was only the one plan and there wasn't any options as originally promised. Frankly, the plan itself looked to be something that I could easily do myself with the correct software.

It went terrible since the provider never contact me.

Once the carpenter arrived he was really great.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I provided the materials they used. It was a good deal for me.

It went great. The folks that run the company are awesome. They did great work and did what they said they would do.
