Description of Work: It was very difficult to get responses from the owner. he was a very nice man, but terrible at calling or emailing back for weeks (and months) on end. He finally did the job, but there were issues with scheduling and in the end the job was not finished. They did not paint one of the doors and damaged another. Also, they left one patch of stucco unpainted. I followed up with several calls and finally heard back from one of his crew leaders, at which point I was told I would hear back from the owner right away. That was 2 months ago. We're left with an unpainted door and another that has to be repaired and repainted. I'd like to recommend them, but until these issues get resolved I just can't.

Description of Work: Andrew is a great guy. The lead for the crew here was also a great guy. Power washed, primed, sealed and painted the house. Stripped the deck and stained it. House is very nice. Deck we still need to work on. They are good and have lots of business so need to be flexible with times. Andrew is flexible and that was a huge plus. Overall I would certainly recommend Durapro for any and all painting projects.

Description of Work: Contracted with Andrew from DuraPro Painting to paint the exterior of my home. The responsiveness from Andrew was customer focused until contracted was executed and down payment made, and our check cashed. I had to reach out to him three times to get the work scheduled. There was miscommunication on the painting of the exterior walls, in terms of type of paint between satin and flat. We had a couple conversations clarifying my request and our understanding as I was requesting flat paint and he stated we agreed it would be satin. Since painting had already started with satin, he needed to stop the crew, regroup and purchase the flat paint and the crew would have to repaint walls that were already painted. We had a couple conversations during this time when Andrew was addressing the issue. Since the painting crew was a subcontracted through DuraPro, Andrew and the crew were in disagreement on how to handle who would take responsibility on the mistake and reduce their cost to cover the correction. There were lots of phones calls between them and the crew and Andrew were very obvious with being upset and yelling over the phone. I had asked Andrew to come to my house to see the paint on the walls so we could talk through this and he was out of town and he would not be able to stop over. The disagreement was so bad the crew went from saying they need to finish the job with the wrong gloss paint so they would execute and get paid on the agreement, to they were stopping the job and leaving and that Andrew would need to finish the job sometime next week, to in the end an agreement was made and the paint issue was corrected and the job was completed. Andrew basically said the customer is always right and that this is a he said, she said deal and if I could help him out at the end of the day with the difference. I said no that I was clear on our discussion and that I have a contracted amount. I strongly feel the cost for construction was inflated to cover some of the costs. The issues was resolved, I would never use DurAPro painting again as one entire day was spent listening to arguments, knowing this isn't the first time this type of issue happened and not having anyone available from DuraPro to help navigate the issue onsite was unacceptable. | |The subcontracted painting crew excelled in the quality of workmanship. | |My response is based on working with DuraPro, not the subcontracted painters. The hired painters were excellent.
