Andrew and his crew did an awesome job of painting my home. The services included an in-home visit from a Sherwin Williams color consultant, some light siding repair (they even replaced a garage service door), painting the home, doors, gutters, shed and even the back yard swing set and the mailbox post! Everything was done very professionally and at a fair price. Even after the garage door color I selected turned out to be not so good, Andrew was able to squeeze us back into his busy schedule and get the doors re-painted quickly. We're very happy with the process and the end result. Thank you Andrew and Durapro!

A+++ company. The owner Andrew is caring and listened to our needs well. Provided a top quality job at the best prices I could find. We had no margin for error as we had a limited amount of time to get the work done before hosting a graduation party. Of all of the contractors we had here at the time, these guys were by far the best. They showed up and got the work done as promised, and even had to make adjustments to their work plans due to the other contractors we had here falling behind schedule. I have had neighbors stop by to ask who did the work they performed, and I did not hesitate to recommend Durapro Painting to them.

Andrew and his crew were great. He provided Sherwin Williams Durapro paint for both the siding and the trim. Andrew suggested that we go a little darker with the color than the current color. The current color was well faded from the original, so that worked for us. We ended up with "Morning Fog", a light blue-gray. He also suggested painting the trim white, which we had not thought of. The end result looks great --- our 1984 house looks brand new. We were also happy with the exacting prep work by the crew. They power washed, and then waited over a week to be sure our pressed wood siding was completely dry. They caulked all of the seams; it looks flawless. They replaced some siding along the second story near our chimney (which I refused to allow my husband to do) and did it for a very reasonable charge. Andrew also suggested replacing some of the molding around the garage door with new, which we did -- another great suggestion. Very happy with their work. Recommended without hesitation.

Durapro Painting just finished a paint and wallpaper removal project in our home. We are very satisfied with all aspects of the job. Andrew was responsive, flexible, and professional. Although we had just one person complete the entire project, he did a fantastic job. He was very hard working, respectful, and even friendly with our young kids who were often in his way. The wallpaper in particular was a tremendous amount of work. I met Andrew from Durapro Painting about a year ago at the Minneapolis Home and Garden Show. I had just purchased a home and was looking for someone that could handle my exterior painting needs from start to finish. I got 3 quotes. Andrews quote was very competitive in comparison to the other two however his was very detailed, explaining exactly what would be done and time frames that it would take to complete the project. This really gave me a sense that he knew what he was doing. In talking with Andrew it came to light that he had done a few homes in the neighborhood over the past 8 years and he invited me to contact them to hear about their experiences. This gave me even more confidence that Andrew was the man for the job and that he was very confident in his work. After hearing the wonderful experiences from my neighbors I contacted Andrew and scheduled a start date. Everything started on time and as promised. They did a wonderful job power washing and prepping my house and then waited about a week to 10 days to let the house dry out before they started caulking, priming and painting the exterior. They started with a very thorough job caulking all windows, trim and soffits. Then followed by sanding and scraping any additional peeling paint and oil primed all the bare areas. Even filling a couple woodpecker holes with an epoxy wood filler to help prevent them from coming back. Once they started painting everything was well masked off, such as the windows, doors and even covered the bushes around the house with plastic to prevent any paint splatter from covering them. The painting took about a week to complete and the results were fantastic. The house looks brand new again. The attention to detail and quality of their workmanship were hands down the best I could have asked for.

I hired DuraPro Painting last September to paint the exterior of our home. Our home is pretty extensive, last time the house was painted was about 15 years ago. The house was showing a lot of peeling, broken boards, and some mold. We had Andrew come out and give us a free estimate, he was very friendly and knowledgable. He gave us a detailed explanation on how the preparation will be done before painting the house and how he will address all the concerns we had. Andrew's team is very professional and courteous. They went the extra mile and even replaced some of our broken boards, the final product was just excellent. We then rehired Andrew about 3 weeks ago to help update the interior of our home; popcorn ceiling removal, knock down texturing, and painting. My husband and I are very happy with the outcome and the work. We love love love the new ceilings and the walls! I highly recommend DuraPro Painting for any of your painting needs! What Andrew's crew was able to do with our cedar deck was nothing short of a miracle! We have a two year old deck that was destroyed by a cheap deck staining company we took a flyer on when we first had the deck built. All the wood was chewed up from overly aggressive pressure washing and there were drip marks everywhere. And a lot of the stain was peeling and flaking. Our deck literally looked like a 20-year old deck when it was only two years old! I contacted two companies to get bids. The first company recommended stripping, sanding, and staining the deck. The second company was Andrew's company, Durapro Painting. When Andrew came out he recommended we only sand and stain. He was confident his crew could make the deck look new again without going through the hassle (and additional expense) of stripping it down with chemicals. The deck looked so bad that I was leery they could make it look new with just sanding and staining. Plus, Andrew's bid was $500 more than the guy who was going to do al l three ? strip, sand, and stain. Andrew was easy to talk to, very professional, and really seemed to know his stuff. But what really stood out was when he told me his crew would work on this deck as if it was his own. In other words, they would strive for perfection on this deck. I rolled the dice and went with him even though he was a little more expensive. I'm glad I did! Andrew's crew was amazing. They were very nice, very professional, and unbelievably thorough. They literally dismantled all the railings on my deck so they could hand sand every square inch. They spent almost an entire week (up to 8 hours a day sometimes) just sanding the entire deck. They sanded my deck like it was a fine piece of furniture. It was pretty amazing to watch. They were just as careful and thorough when they applied the stain. They ended up putting on two coats to make sure the color was perfectly even everywhere and to really make the deck pop. The amazing thing was I couldn't find a single drip mark anywhere and this is a pretty large deck. To be able to apply two coats of stain on a large deck without any drip marks is pretty remarkable. Our deck looks brand new! We're thrilled because until we talked to Andrew we were contemplating replacing the deck with maintenance-free decking which would have cost thousands of dollars. Andrew saved us a ton of money and now we have an awesome looking deck. If the deck looks this good a year from now, I'll definitely be hiring Andrew again to restain it when it needs it.

I too was initially impressed with Andrew?s attentiveness and the detail in the DuraPro proposal. Andrew even assisted with some insurance claim issues because the exterior paint job was, in part, due to hail damage. However, it became pretty clear once the work began there would be very little relationship between the proposal/contract and actual work done. A few examples from the proposal: ?After power washing , we will wait 3-5 days to make sure all surfaces to be painted are completely dry? Reality: They power washed and waited just one day before painting. ?Peeling areas will be scraped to provide a semi-smooth and debris free surface? Reality: Hasty scrapping of wood shingles occurred right after power washing only seemed to damage the shingles. ?Wood cracks and joints will be sealed?? Reality: This only occurred after I had work stopped after two quick coats of paint. Also, only after work had been begun I was informed that many shingles were too weathered and that I would need to replace many of them. This led to $1300 in additional expense. ?Areas will be protected with drop cloths to prevent damage? Reality: Paint splattered on concrete, foundation, screen door, plants. Windows, storm windows and inserts (includes glazing repair)? also included in quote Reality: I had to repeatedly direct them to remove storms and paint both storms and windows. All windows in the house were painted shut in the process and had to be cut free. Once it became clear that the ?crew? (which often consisted of just one very overworked person) was producing a product I would be unhappy with, I contacted Andrew and Christian (crew chief) for a meeting. Work then slowed down, additional sanding and scraping occurred, gaps were caulked up better, and another coat was applied. They repaired a paint splattered screen door but the replacement screen has already fallen out. I contacted Andrew about this over a week ago. He said Christian would address ASAP but no action has yet been taken. I am relatively satisfied with the final product so far but it took constant attention/badgering on my part. It also went from a $5700 job to $7000 in the process. I remain concerned, however, that the shortcuts taken on the front end will reduce the life of the paint job.

Arranged appointment for a Saturday at 11am. They never showed up. I called them at 11:30. Without much apology, they asked if they can come next day, Sunday. OK, we agreed to do it on the Sunday. Again they never showed up, never called. I never called them anymore either. I don't understand how people like this have a overall A-rating on Angie's list.

Andrew was very professional when came to give estimate. The work was done by crew chief and two other individuals. After completion we called Andrew to tell him there were numerous problems.....with lack of prep work, sloppy trim work, not painting all of window trim, etc. We assumed that Andrew would come out to see the problems. He did not. He did send his crew out late on a Sunday afternoon to remedy the problems. They did take care of the specific items that my husband pointed out (that could be dealt with in the time they had). After paying DuraPro, we decided we should let Andrew know how unhappy we were with the work done. We sent an email listing the items that had not been done correctly including painting some windows shut, masking not done well, painting sloppy around glass, paint already peeling in some areas, and not painting underside of crankout window frames. Andrew contacted us and made it clear that he wanted to come out and see what needed to be done. That email took place on July 11th. After several tentative dates that Andrew keep cancelling, he finally came out with the crew chief on August 8th. They looked over the problems and Andrew said they would have the crew come back and fix these items in the next 10 days. We have not seen or heard from them since that day.

Durapro provided excellent service and did a very professional job! The exterior painting job required careful prep and all the work was done carefully. Clean-up was very neat. The interior job followed another service (by a different company) that was neither thorough nor careful - Durapro jumped in and completed the mudding/sanding even though that was not part of their service - I really appreciated their willingness to help out with this and get the job done. Painting quality was excellent. I highly recommend them!

All work performed by DuraPro's painter was excellent, top notch. Significant attention to detail was evident (and witnessed) throughout the preparation phase, including trim removal, power washing, taping, priming and ensuring everything was covered to protect against over-spray. Work was done when it was convenient for us - we were asked if a certain day & time were acceptable. Very thoughtful and respectful. Andrew Moreno (owner) was prompt to return phone calls, voice mails and text messages. He was on time each time we had an appointment at the house, to initially estimate the project, to return and finalize our agreements, and visited and observed the on-going work on several occasions - to ensure quality control. The results were everything we expected. The colors matched, the paint was top quality (Sherwin Williams Duration - no extra cost), and the house looked great when it was finished. A lot of extra work was done with no additional cost, or mention of any "extras". Andrew had his painter touch up here and there, and at the end, the painter (Jose) noticed several areas that needed an additional touch up. These were not in the agreed upon scope of work, but they painted these extra areas without charge, and of their own accord. This is really professionalism. They had real pride in their work, as they were so careful during preparation. The only clean up I did personally was to remove some tape residue from some of the glass that had been taped off. When Andrew and I discussed the job, I mentioned it, and he credited me an hour of labor!! As a follow up, we had some minor drywall that needed to be repaired. Within 4 hours Andrew had two guys at my house and did such a professional job with the repair, that it only took 1 quick sanding before priming and painting! We really appreciate that DuraPro has other crafts that they can provide to the homeowner. It was refreshing to work with a small company, to deal with the owner, and to have them set and meet all my expectations. No need to look for the other "PRO" painting companies - we had a great experience and recommend "DURAPRO".

Andrew and his crew were spectacular! Very prompt - they started within two days of the estimate. They finished sooner than expected which was great given we have two kids so the inconvenience was minimized. The crew was professional, friendly and did very high quality work. They were also quick to fix a couple of areas that needed small tweaks -- it was clear that they wanted us to be 100% satisfied. Andrew is a pleasure to work with and is a true professional who is clearly committed to excellent work and great customer service. We will be hiring them again soon!

I am quite surprised to see all the favorable reviews of DuraPro, as our experience was quite to the contrary. We had a contract with Andrew stating work to be done for a specified cost and a specific start date. The start date came and went and no one showed. Calls to Andrew were not answered nor were messages returned. No calls back from him. Emails were no better. Then finally, we left a phone message on Andrew's phone which stated we would contact one of the other companies we had previously interviewed if he did not show in the next 2 days. Then Andrew called and said his crew would be there. Very unprofessional. No call to say they would not start on the previously agreed upon start date. The crew was cordial and appeared to know what they were doing. Cordial, yes; competency, not so much. Took them 3 weeks to complete the job. A couple of partial rain days contributed to the delay, but other days they just didn't show. Problems included: they said they were done but they did not paint the storm windows. Garage service door was only painted on one side. Windows were painted shut. Window sashes were only partially painted. Siding required repainting of many areas, twice, even after the crew said they had checked everything and all was completed. When the job was finally finished we contacted Andrew to "settle up," as there had been a couple changes to the contract during those 3 weeks that we and Andrew had agreed to. One of those changes dealt with the rain gutters. The contract specified the gutters were to be painted but we had asked Andrew earlier to remove that from the contract as we desired to tear down the old gutters and have them replaced later. In our call to "settle up," the issue of the gutters came up. We said we had a credit coming for work not performed; Andrew said "no" because the crew had already painted the gutters. That was false; we had removed the gutters and thrown them in the trash prior to the painting. Andrew said he would come to the house to discuss the contract and the gutters and to get the final payment. He never showed up; he never called. No word from him at all. We paid the crew chief what we considered to be fair. Never did hear from anyone after that. Very, very unprofessional.

Had multiple bids from painting suppliers in twin cities area. The best price, quality and service we found was DuraPro Painting. If you want it done correctly the first time use DuraPro.

Interior Painting. Three workers did extremely detailed work perfectly. From prep work - masking, patching and covering all furniture, etc - to the final coats, everything was beyond my expectations. The rooms look great! Exterior Painting. Andrew and his crew advised us on stain and paint, did the work on a very tight schedule, and came through like champs. These guys know what they're doing, both inside and out. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again and/or to recommend them highly. You can't go wrong with DuraPro Painting. Bob Shannon

Very responsive and worked hard to make sure it was done before winter cold weather set in. Also guaranteed their work and noted that if the cold weather does anything to the paint they will be happy to come back and do touch up work in the spring or summer. Excellent to work with and very patient.

I contacted Andrew in mid-October... in terms of painting the exterior of a home, that's pretty late in the season!! I told Andrew that we had painted the house except for the gables (which we didn't have a tall enough ladder for). I asked if he could paint the gables and he said he could fit the project in. Less than one week after I called Andrew, he and his painter came to my house and the painter painted my gables. He noticed that I needed some paint on window trim, and he told his painter to do that as well for no extra charge. The painting job was excellent. Andrew was very communicative throughout the whole process, and I couldn't ask for a better price. I will have DuraPro come back to my house any time I need painting done!!!

Everything went great! I am very pleased with the workmanship and the care that Andrew and team provided. Andrew was great at giving me options and explaining the work his crew would be providing. They took their time and did the job right. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. The onsite crew was very polite and welcomed questions from me.

I called Andrew from Durapro Painting to get an painting estimate. I got 3 other estimates just to compare. Andrew was in the middle pricing and I decided to go with them. He was very professional, explained what they do for preparation, he even found some siding boards that needed to be replaced that no one saw that before. Something that I like is that he listened to my concerns and advice how to fix and handle different problems in my home. I'm not good with color decisions so Andrew got a professional color expert to help me with colors. She was from Sherwin Williams and was a great help. I wasn't sure if I needed to use the best paint for my house but in the end I used the best because Andrew and Sherwin Williams advised me to do so. I'm glad I did it cause I know is going to last for a very long time. During the preparation process they replaced few boards around the house, they did prime and caulk gaps, joints and fill wood p***** holes. All windows got tape and masked. The finished product turn out great. My house looks just like new, Im very pleased and happy! Andrew and his crew were very respectful, attention to detail was great. They painted my house, decks and shed. I highly recommend DuraPro for your painting needs!
