DIGGIT LANDSCAPING

They did a very nice job and they are really great.

I chose to go with a different bid, primarily because the other bid was more detailed than Chad's. Chad told me that the way he works is to give a rough bid, and then refine the estimate later once the design is complete. Design work is charged at $50/hour. I can't complain about this -- he stands to lose a lot of money by doing detailed designs when he might not get the work -- but I felt more comfortable choosing another bid that did include that level of detail. The only complaint I have is that my original request for a bid included six individual items, and I would have preferred a bid that addressed each item individually.

It went great. It started with Chad drawing up several designs from me to choose from. The work was completed in a very reasonable time frame.

The job went great overall. Chad was there everyday and he responded to our phone calls. He really knows his stuff, from what plants will do what in certain weather, shade, sun ,heat. I was so impressed. People constantly come over and comment on the yard!

Chad and his crew are fantastic! Chad has a wonderful, creative, and thoughtful design sense. He listened to what we wanted and made great suggestions that enhanced our initial ideas. Once we nailed down materials, the crew went to work. Our backyard is a typical size Minneapolis lot but it is almost all hill. Plus it has some mature trees that we wanted to keep. Chad and his crew worked around the trees with skill and care. They made sure to water them before they left each night since it was hot and they were slightly stressed. Very thorough and smart! Where we once had dirt and weeds and a steep hill we now have a splendid stone patio, two connected pergolas, a wooden deck, and lots of hardy and attractive plants. We used to think our backyard was small but now that we can use the space it feels huge! We eat as many meals as we can out on the patio which is nicely shaded by the pergola. And the yard looks fantastic both from the house and from the alley! Thanks Chad and Diggit!!!

He responded promptly, turned up when he said and produced some lovely plans but unfortunately they were a lot more elaborate than we really wanted and didn't address quite all the issues in particular space for the dog to run about in. He was the only one of 3 bidders to charge for the plans, but he did make it clear that this was the case. His bid was almost the same price as one of the others who also produced more elaborate plans than we wanted, so the job went to a simpler scheme which came in at a third to half the price. I'm sure Chad and his team would have done a good job if we had wanted to go with it though.

I called Diggit over two weeks ago to inquire about a fairly substantial landscaping project that we are in the process of researching and never got so much as a return phone call.

He worked long hours to get the project done on time and on budget. I found him to be easy to work with and enthusiastic about his work. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a landscape designer or landscape contractor.

The project took a little longer than expected; however, I did not pay any extra in labor costs for the wait time. I would recommend him to anyone who loves gardens and landscapes, and wants something unique done in his/her yard.

The guys were more than pleasant, they were cheerful, extremely accommodating (to the point of letting our dog out for a pee). You can't miss with Chad. He gave us far more, than we paid for. We are astounded by the results. I have this vision of him in five years, if he is able to maintain this level of service as he grows. He will spend his spring and summers landscaping his heart out and then retire for winters to his new home on some Carribean Island. I know he's gonna grow and prosper. Bachman's, watch out.

INITIALLY SENT CHAD AN EMAIL REQUESTING AN ESTIMATE. DIDN'T GET A RESPONSE, SO I CALLED. HE WAS POLITE AND VERY WILLING TO COME GIVE AN ESTIMATE. WAS RUNNING LATE THE DAY OF THE ESTIMATE AND HE CALLED TO LET ME KNOW HE'D BE LATE. DECIDED TO GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY WHOSE BID WAS ABOUT $3000 LESS THAN THE ESTIMATE OF $8000.

UNFORTUNATELY, BY THEN I HAD DECIDED TO GO WITH THE MOST RESPONSIVE COMPANY. BUT I WOULD CONSIDER DIGGIT FOR FUTURE JOBS.
