Paul did exceptional work with not only the drawings but in helping us maximize the use of the space we had to work with while minimizing major structural changes (thus keeping construction costs down). I would highly recommend his services for any home remodeling/design project.

Paul looked at all of our selections and narrowed it down to two that he thought would go well in those rooms. We installed one of his choices and it looks great.

Very well. Paul gave honest feedback on which projects would ultimately yield the most return on investment. Some of our ideas (attic renovation) could be done but the cost to implement would likely be very high. Suggested we consider spending that money on other areas of the house that we would probably enjoy more.

We were very pleased with his suggestions and he helped us come up narrow down our "to do" list and good places to start. He seems to really know what he's talking about both from a design stand point and knowing the structure of a home.

Paul spent a great deal of time with us going over options and ideas, costs, pros and cons, and on rounds of revisions of designs. He kept an eye out for ways to minimize costs since he knew we were doing the majority of the remodeling work ourselves. Yet, when there were places to make a big style statement for a little bit of expense, he pointed those out also. We found him pleasant to work with, easy to understand, and the finished plans are something we can now work very practically with.

Our project was fairly involved and complicated as we were significantly altering the floor plan. The living room turned into an office, the dining room turned into the living room, walls were moved and removed, laundry moved from downstairs to upstairs, two bathroom layouts reconfigured and a powder room and pantry added. We were extremely pleased with Paul's work and I really can't say enough good things about him! He was very responsive, helpful and came with with creative uses of the space that delivered everything we were looking for in a design. We initially had our own ideas for the floor plan which including an upstairs addition with a master suite. However, Paul adeptly pointed out the large costs due to our odd roofline and was able modify the space to carve out a very functional master suite on the main level for us. He ticked all the boxes of the things important to us (open concept, large center island, separate master and always gave us multiple versions to pick from and was very open to my suggestions (there were a lot of them!). I would highly recommend Paul's services and have already referred him on to a friend who is a contractor and looking for a new designer. We absolutely love the new plan Paul has created for us and we can't wait for the renovation to be complete!

Paul, the owner met with us twice to help us form a plan to update our home’s exterior. He listened to what we liked and disliked about our home’s features. He then walked around our home to get the full picture, stating that any changes that we made to the front should tie into the rest of the home. He asked our budget, and within that range made suggestions. First he suggested replacing the garage doors with windowed ones, and he helped us select a complimentary designed set, from a brochure we had. We then sat down with an 8X11 picture of our home that we had printed out, and Paul worked through a few possible modifications to the front of our home, complete with color combinations that he also helped us choose. Paul further suggested that we replace our storm door, front door hardware, and light fixtures to replace the outdated brass accents with more modern black or aged bronze ones. My husband and I were very impressed by Paul’s knowledge of architecture, design, and trends! What we particularly found useful were the design options that he sketched for us, complete with measurements of added and increased trim. It took my husband and I time to decide on which plan we liked best, but ultimately it took only 3 1/2 hours (over 2 meetings) with Paul to have a plan to present to prospective contractors. Furthermore, once the work began a couple of months after our design consultation, he was kind enough to answer a couple of additional questions that the contractor was asking of us. My husband and I felt much more comfortable consulting Paul than trying to make those last minute decisions ourselves. Paul also went a step further by asking about the contractor’s materials for our Board & Batton and lap siding, strongly suggesting LP SmartSide or Hardi to the contractor’s plan to use cedar. As my husband and I are highly appreciative of low maintenance, we made those requests of the contractor and are so thankful to Paul for bringing them up. We are very pleased with our home’s new appearance! Thank you Paul!

He offered many helpful suggestions and gave us a good starting off point for planning a remodel. He's a nice guy.

We did not choose a plan he drew up right away and when we wanted some changes he did not return calls.

He was a designer and he came up with plans. I would give him an A for the designs but he was a little slower at getting stuff back to us. The price was a little high. He could be more punctual with the designs. He was good because he helped us thing outside the box. We wanted the kitchen design one way but he gave us several different options which allowed us to think outside the box and choose a better one than we would have never even envisioned. I would use him again in future but I might negotiate the price a little more and make sure I have timelines in the contract from the on set.

They were very professional, on time, answered all my questions. I reached out to them because they were featured in the Home section of the Star Tribune for a project they did. The existing footprint was maintained and other elements of the remodel were updated. I wanted to know the cost of such a project. The cost of their remodel estimate was still more than we wanted to spend so we haven't done anything yet.

I started with a list of specific questions, which Paul answered, but he also showed me what other critical issues and considerations I should be thinking about which needed to be thought about before launching into the smaller projects I'd originally thought I was going to do next. Because of hiring him to consult with me, I probably saved thousands and thousands of dollars and months of rework and headaches -- what he showed me needs to be done FIRST would have meant ripping out everything I would have just done! I would definitely hire Paul again and will, when I'm ready to have plans drawn up. I appreciated his eye for design and experience in building, materials, cost-savings, and respect for the DIY-er also.

Paul was excellent to work with. Prompt, responsive, aware of our internal timeline, professional; everything you could want in a designer. He helped us restructure/reconfigure an odd space off of our master bedroom into a space that was not only usable but made sense with what we needed. Will definitely work with Paul again.

We had recently moved to a new home and were interested in seeking professional opinion on furniture choices and placement in the living space. The service provider was pleasant to work with and answered our questions effectively. He suggested some furniture pieces that would work well in our living space and showed some examples. There was not sufficient time to select pieces or complete a full layout ( it was not expected) Overall the appointment went well and we did incorporate some ideas when we bought the furniture later on. If you are looking for a quick hit kind of service to get a general idea and views from someone who has done some kind of interior design work this may work well.

Since we weren't planning a major change in the footprint of our kitchen, he helped determine what would actually be possible in the space and gave us great ideas to move forward.

Paul came to our home to review our first floor and gave us suggestions for furniture layout for an odd shaped living room. He also provided us with excellent color recommendations for our kitchen and lighting recommendations for our library. Paul has a wealth of knowledge and I really appreciate that he is willing to come over for a brief hourly consultation, just what we needed. So much great information in a brief time and well worth it. We have worked with him twice now, recommended him to friends and will continue to connect with him as we continue to remodel our home. He is a gem!

I wanted to do a quick review .. BECAUSE I almost did not call Paul. I felt .. was concerned my "project" was much too small for him to bother with! WRONG! He was wonderful! He replied promptly to my call .. set up an appointment .. indicated it would be wise to get samples prior to his visit to expedite things. Then was very understanding when I needed to change appointment dates. When he arrived he provided absolutely everything I was looking for .. wise counsel on best color .. best shape .. best installation. Really just a joy to work with! I am VERY glad I called him .. even for this "LITTLE" job! Call him for Big OR Little .. you will be happy as a clam!

Paul was fantastic. He covered all the details. Paul worked with my wife and I providing optional designs to choose from until we got it narrowed down to what we wanted. His method to get us there was unique. It's a little like an eye test. Paul goes through a process using optional designs; "do you like this better or that better? What is better?" He then narrows a new set of options to include the things you point out that you like from prior options. And then it begins again: "do you like this better or that better? What is better?" Very quickly you and he have something that meets exactly what you want. In fact Paul exceeded both my wife and I expectations. His recommendations are unique. He listens and tries to incorporate what he hears into the design and offers multiple suggestions along the way. I can't recommend him highly enough. If there were a higher than "A" rating I'd give that.
