Description of Work: Paul from Design Q & A came to our home to give us some ideas on what we could do with our 1959 kitchen that we wanted to completely gut and remodel. He gave us some very good ideas that we will incorporate in the remodel when we start the project. He was knowledgeable and easy to work with. When I purchased the deal, my husband and I were on an extended vacation and we could not schedule the appointment until two months later. He worked around that with no problem. I would use him again in the future.

Description of Work: We had an an initial in house design consult for the Angies list price. We decided to add additional design drawings for our kitchen. Paul gave us 9 various designs! He was open to me sending thoughts and photos during the process. We went through a few changes and have just finalized our designs! So exciting!

Description of Work: GREAT!!! my second time having Paul out to help me update my decor. He helped me so much the first time, I had him back out for phase II. I also recommended him to my neighbors, who also had him out. | |He helped me pick a paint color for family room and rearrange furniture in a more aesthetic and functional way. Such a huge help.

Description of Work: Paul helped me with ideas for updating my main floor area. Had some great ideas which I will use when working with my General Contractor.

Description of Work: He was very knowledgeable! We asked all our questions and walked around the house and he gave his professional opinion to all our issues. We were very pleased with the info and have since made changes to our home based on his advice.

Description of Work: Paul was just what I had hoped for. I was wanting design ideas for our home and another opinion about things I was considering. Paul gave me good ideas and a fresh outlook on things I didn't consider. He is knowledgable in his field and professional. I feel like the amount we covered in 2 hours was enough to last me the summer. I will definitely call Paul again when things in my home have progressed further.

Description of Work: We initially hired Paul for a two hour consultation for $ 109 to provide ideas for remodeling our family room and adding a gas fireplace. This initial meeting went very well so we added $ 950 for Paul to generate six or so designs showing the fireplace, TV location and furniture placement. Paul initially did some 2-D layouts and then drew up several 3-D models of the most promising designs using the program 'SketchUp'. He emailed the files and we exchanged questions and comments via email and phone discussions to converge on a final design. I found Paul to be very creative and easy to work with. We are extremely pleased with the final design and there is no way we would have come up with this on our own. We have selected contractors and the remodeling is currently under way.

Description of Work: The two hour consult was excellent. Based on some of the options discussed at the consult, we decided to keep working with Design Q&A to flesh out the most interesting ones and continue to have an open project with the company.

Description of Work: Paul was late but did call just prior to appointment time to let us know that he ran late at his prior appointment. He asked about our ideas for the rooms, looked at our current color choices, and then gave us ideas to help us start shopping for furniture and room colors to repaint and redecorate. Accomplished a lot in a very short time. He gave us some great helpful tips. Did stay past appointment time to wrap up discussion. Very easy to work with. Very professional. We would work with him again. In fact, once we shop and make some choices, we may call him prior to buying paint and furniture to discuss our options. |

Description of Work: Paul was great. He gave me lots of options, asked great questions, and helped me see my space in a new way. I got more than what I expected out of our time together. I was hesitant to use a decorator, but my experience with Paul showed me that I shouldn't have been. Great value!

Description of Work: We are remodeling a Highland Park rambler. Paul helped us with exterior design and drafted several different kitchen designs which he handed off to us to finish. He took the time to listen to us and understand our design style and lifestyle. He made suggestions we never even thought about. We especially like how we could use his services in a ala carte manner. Answering specific questions, providing multiple initial kitchen designs that we could then continue on with, and providing guidance on exterior choices to make the house more modern in appearance. We would hire Paul again.
