Dean Bjorkstrand Inc

It took a long time before we were able to ask to get Dean Bjorkstrand here because of all the rain we had. It was advertised as an 8-hour day and when the men came they said it was a 7-hour day. They got most of the work done that Dean had thought they can get done. They were trimming some bushes for us and their saw-chain broke so they couldn't complete that but everything worked fine. Two men came for one day and one of the men seem to do most of the work and the other men seem to do most of the sighting. It just seemed a little light.

I sent the followiing e-mail to Dean after the work was done: Dean: Your men did a good job. They analyzed the situation, came up with a plan, discussed it with me, and got to work. It looks good. George

The results of the landscaping job on our small urban lot were largely satisfactory but the process was not. The 2- to 3-day job turned into 6 work days as our one-man crew got called away for other (more important?) jobs, damage done to mature shrubs was dismissed by the business owner as insignificant, and our concerns were disregarded.

It went splendidly. They're very professional, very quick working and for a relatively small operation, they put things together in a hurry and did a good job.

I called them and several other gutter installers. After talking to their sales person, was sold on them. He brought samples of all rain gutter products on the market, explaining the advantages and disadvantages of each type. He gave me an estimate on within the hour. I informed him I would confer with my wife regarding the estimate. For references, he gave me the addresses and names of previous customers. I talked to several of them, looked at their installed gutters and then expressed my impressions to my wife. We agreed to proceed, put 10% down and agreed to an installation date. .

It has gone beautifully. His workmen are very careful and moved very quickly to plant the roses, flowering almond, burning bush, etc etc. I had roofing work done a week ago and the supervisor came over and told me I had the most beautiful yard he had ever seen.

Dean did a great job. We had water damage in our basement that was coming from outside the house, and we needed to change our landscape so that water flows away from the house instead of toward it. Dean was very knowledgable and provided a very common sense solution to our problem. His team was available to start quickly, which was important to us, and they were courteous and finished on time. Dean was also available when I called with questions during the bidding and implementation project. We are really happy with the finished result. We will definitely use him in the future for any landscaping project!

We have given Dean's contact to other organizations and would certainly do business with him again in the future.

Everything went well. They seemed to be pretty thorough and quite quick. They were in an out in a timely manner.

We usually had them come at the end of October. They would do the whole house and blow out the gutters with a leaf blower. The service was very quick. The cost is effective with the quality of work. You can trust the work they do.

When I asked Dean to come out we went over the work that was needed to be done. He was going to charge $900.00 for the season. When the snow came they did not do the back sidewalk within the fence without my calling them. They did the driveway but left portions of it undone. They did do the front sidewalk and the public walk well. They came and did the work in a timely manner. Each time that I called them they were very responsive and came to fix the problem. They did a good job on the gutter cleaning as far I know.

He did the work himself and it turned out great. He does what he says he is going to do. The price was very reasonable.

He does snow removal as well. It has been fine seasonal work.

Great service, I called and he fit me in within 2-3 days. They were able to look at the one sagging gutter & repair that at the same time. Will definitely use again.

As above, his people are top rate and are very clean and tidy when doing their work with leaf and plant debris. The landscaping is going well and I love the plants he has picked out. He even agreed to dig up some of my existing plants and replace them in other areas of my yard. I look forward to the rest of the landscaping, lighting, and sprinkler extension. Between Dean and Dave Shegstad's Ironworks, my home is beginning to look spectacular! Thanks guys!

It went very well. Dean was responsive and put his team to work as soon as he was able. Dean and his team are professional and courteous. Dean was also very helpful in giving us tips for maintaining our yard and fountain.

The house belongs to our son who lives out of state. The gutters were completely clogged and one of the downspouts had come apart from the gutter system. Several days after the service was completed we went over to check up on the outcome. The gutters were very clean (we could see them out the upstairs windows) and the downspout was back in place. A couple days later we had a very heavy snowfall which caused havoc all over the city. The next time we came back to check on the house, the downspout was once again separated from the gutter. We were sure it was caused by the extremely heavy snow. I called back to see if there was a permanent fix for the downspout and was told that they'd stop by and put a screw into the system. We were very pleased with the service.

They were very professional. They did a good, quick job. The price was reasonable. The quality was great! I used them for two houses.

We didn't have problems for a while but with the rain we've had this summer I was starting to see some more water problems. I had asked him to come and a**** the problem. He told me would be happy to but he would charge $75. I am a prior customer and have spent a good amount of money on the original project, I don't believe I should be charge $75 for him to come out and see if any more work needed to be done. There was no charge for $75 before, I'm not sure why it applies now.

We hired Dean and his crew about three years ago to install a natural stone walkway in our back yard, and they did such a wonderful job, and were so pleasant to have around (his guys were so nice to my dogs that after the project was done, the dogs went to the back fence and looked for them every morning for ages), that we didn't want to work with anyone else when we needed a landscaper again. Not only did we have the monster juniper to deal with, but tattered landscape fabric under more wheelbarrows-full of rocks than I counted, and an overgrown weed/shrub I couldn't even identify but that turned out to have a woody trunk they had to use the stump grinder to get out. We were getting water in the basement when it rained, so we knew we needed the grade changed. It has rained twice, torrentially, since Dean did the work, and no water has come in. And speaking of the rain: it washed all the fresh dirt and grass seed that they had filled in along the stairs right out onto the sidewalk, and both times Dean's crew showed up and patiently shoveled it all back into place and reseeded it, and this morning they were back again to put in sod instead. His crew worked without complaint all through the 90+ degree weather last week. We love the design of the plantings, too, and the low-maintenance plants he chose. It's all just beautiful. And fast, too: I called Dean during the last week of July, and they started on August 9th, and minor mudslides notwithstanding they were done in four days.
