Description of Work: The first time they came out, the guy spent two hours swearing loudly as he was unsuccessful getting the main sewer line open. He told me I needed to have someone come dig up my yard and replace the pipe. After having someone come and scope the pipe out out with a camera, who ultimately identified a big root ball in the pipe. When I called Crown Drain, they agreed to send someone back out the following week. They sent the same guy back. When he came back, he was argumentative and short. After trying unsuccessfully again with the largest attachment, he reiterated that there was nothing he could do and left.

Description of Work: I have actually utilized this company twice and had excellent results on both occasions. The first time was in January 2011, when I had paid Roto Rooter to clean my drain lines after the water would not drain out to the city lines. Roto Rooter charged me 5600.00 and then told me that they would have to get permission from the city to dig up my lines to the city lines that were in the middle of the street at a cost of around 9500.00, because they could not get the drain lines cleared. There was no way that I was going to continue to pay them more without attempting to contact another company to see if they could remove the debris from the drain to get the water moving again. In comes Duane and his crew, they worked hard to get the tree roots out that had imbedded the lines, but they got the job done. I had just purchased this house 10 months prior, so it obviously had been years since it had been cleaned. It cost me $1450.00. He had done an excellent job and i was so pleased. In March, I had another issue and had him come out and take care of, which they did promptly and professionally for $55.00.

Description of Work: I recieved a flyer in the mail for my main drain to be cleaned from Crown plumbing. I figured this was a great deal to get done before winter. I also had some other plumbing questions for the company. I called Crown up and Duane, the owner came to my home to give me an estimate. He insisted on coming to my house in time so he didn't have to "hit traffic" on the way home. I was looking for info about the main drain removal of a laundry tub. He went through my house and told me how all of my pipes needed to be replaced. He gave me a cost of $500 to remove the cement laundry tub which I found to be reasonable. I agreed to send the guy by to clean the main drain, laundry drain and to drain the hot water heater so it could be cleaned. He also told me that all of my pipes should be replaced because they were corroded, I got a few other opinon's from other contracters and plumbers and they said "no" that they were fine. Duane was suppose to come to my house to find the main drain, and see all of the other things that I wanted done and give me an estimate. Duane was completly unprofessional to the point we he actually said to me that he would give me a "deal" if "I went on a date with him." He was creepy. Duane was to communicate everything that was to be completed at my house. He never gave me an actual estimate just verbal stating that to clean the laundry drain would be aprox $65 dollars and to do the main drain would be $50 unless they had to go further than 100 ft. The drain guy shows up at my house completly not informed of anything. Never could find the main drain and was going to have to remove the toliet. He couldn't even clean the main drain or the hot water heater because he didn't have the proper tools. I got a really bad feeling and told him to just clean the laundry drain. The only good thing about this company was the guy that actually did the work. Duane = AWFUL! I called crown plumbing requesting why Duane never communicated to the drain guy that came to my house what he had to do? They lady on the phone then talked me into rescheduling, so I did for the 10/22. The following week, Duane called me asking me "what are we doing at your house today?" My response "excuse me, you're not coming over here until next week" Duane: "well you're ont on the books for today" Me: "Forget it, you are too unorganized, I am the customer and you should know from our first meeting what needs to be done at my house. I would like to cancel the whole things as this has now become a big waste of my time" Net / Net - this company is AWFUL and unprofessional . Don't be fooled by their yellow flyer that they are a deal. They are NOT!
