Our sustained storm damage when our neighborhood was hit by a tornado. I contacted Craftsman Home Improvements from on a referral from a friend. I immediately went to Angie's List to check out the reports and was extremely satisfied to find Craftsman as the top general contractor on Angie's List. My initial contact with Craftsman to explain our situation, they immediately dispatched their tech's to assess what would need to be done. The professional manner to which they conducted business in dealing with us and our insurance company was impressive. They helped walk us through each step of the process during this stressful time. In fact they went above and beyond the scope of the work by consulting with us on additional storm damage that was overlooked by the insurance company. This was done inspite knowing they wouldn't perform the work themselves. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CRAFTSMAN HOME IMPROVEMENTS TO ALL!!!!

The job went like clockwork. Everything was done right the first time. They made sure everything was to my satisfaction and offered to follow up with an additional clean up visit. This was not necessary because the crew did a very thorough job to remove nails, trash, and clean up.

Craftsmen did a good job of explaining the claim process and worked with the insurance company to coordinate the details. They performed the work quickly and we were pleased with the quality of their work.

We were very impressed with the company from the time we began discussing our plans through the completion of our project. Dan Bydlon was always prompt in responding to us and ensuring our satisfaction with the work being done. They were especially accomodating to my schedule and worked efficiently to complete the job in a timely manner. The quality of our work was outstanding and we have been very pleased with the finished product. We would hire this company again.

They were very responsive, showed up when they said they would, communicated well, worked with our insurance company on our behalf. Everything was great!

We enjoyed working with Craftsman from the start. The salesman, Eric, was extremely polite and knowledgeable. When he came to measure the windows for the bid, I had a broken ankle, and he was very considerate of me. He recommended the Lindsay products as a way to save money, knowing that we wanted to try to keep the overall price down. He knows the products very well. He made another trip to our house with an actual sample of the window so we could operate it and be reassured of its quality. After we accepted a bid, the starting date of the project did get pushed back a couple of times. Owner Dan Bydlon was very apologetic and sent us a restaurant gift card to compensate us for the inconvenience. Once the project began, the two workers were extremely professional and very considerate. Clearly they were very experienced. They removed each window and inserted the new one, never leaving us with gaping openings for too long. And they cleaned up to the point you wouldn't have known work was done. They removed shoes when walking on carpet or put down a tarp. They also wrapped the outside of the windows with vinyl, and we were extremely happy with the work. Initially they delivered a lighter color vinyl than we had wanted, and when we questioned it they ordered a new color immediately. We were also having the outside of the house painted by a separate company. The Craftsman guys were GREAT in working with the other contractors. They communicated well and worked it out with them so nobody would be in the other's way. When they installed the exterior door, they also fixed the screen door so it works better than it ever has. That was going above and beyond, I think. Overall, this is a great company, very responsive. The quoted price was what we paid. Very happy with them.

I worked very closely with Dan and Erik on the estimates and work. They helped to coordinate all pieces, which included many different types of work. They also helped to coordinate with our insurance company. I was extremely pleased with their responsiveness and customer service. No question or problem seemed too big or little - they made sure we had a contact throughout the work. They worked very hard to ensure things went smoothly and that we were satisfied. This included little touches like replacing house lights and address numbers. We worked with multiple different people, given the number of repairs that were done, and were pleased with all. I have recommended their work to others and would continue to recommend the company.

The job went great. The local building inspector checked out there workmanship and they had only a few small problems and they fixed them right away to his satisfaction and my satisfaction.

I knew that I wanted Craftsmen to do the job based on the ratings and feed back posted on Angie's List. Eric and our claim adjustor worked together to determine the damage, estimate materials and determine the cost including the work. Shortly after Dan and Joan called to introduce themselves. Joan layed out the work plan and communicated daily at the beginning of the project coordinating and asking for feedback through out the project. Eric was on the job site the morning the roofing was started. The roof was completed the same day it was started and the crew had finished and cleaned up before we got home that day. Eric worked hard to locate the replacement siding, even after the claim's adjustor reported that it was discontinued. The siding went up in a few day's and the finishing work didn't take long at all. The house looks good and no call backs were needed. The professionallism of this companies employees is A+. Everyone we encountered was personable and flexible. We wanted the replacemnet roofing and siding to be the same as what we had on the house, although Eric showed us other roofing and siding, there was no pressure to use product that they had in their stock.

Excellent.... Jim even came back 3 months later to fix a couple boards in the garage I thought they loosened... very good person.

This was a very difficult job, with numerous peaks, valleys and stub gables, all on 45 degree angles (12-12 pitch). The area around the house had few places to drop the old shingles, necessitating setting up slides and hand carrying a lot of tear-offs. It went very well, there was no shrub or plant damage, the workers were friendly and considerate, and the clean-up was fantastic. It was a very good experience and I would be happy to use them again.

Dan was very thorough and was able to give a quote on the spot. He spent time answering our questions and giving us his opinions. The company was very good about keeping us up to date on when they would be able to start the project and deliver materials. When the project started, they finished in one day. Clean up was great.

Everything went very well. They did an excellent job. They were very pleasant to work with, exceptional at their skill, easy to contact, were very personable and provided great customer service. I highly recommend them.

Craftsmen performed very well. We did have problems with some of the screens not matching, but that was a manufacturer (Gorrell) error. Also received a sash that did not fit for the sliding door, which was also a manufacturer's (Gorrell) error. Craftsmen installed the new sash and a rep from the manufacturer replaced the screens. The rep from Gorell was not responsive, but Dan from Craftsmen was on top of the process. We have used Craftsmen once before also. Erik was our sales person from Craftsmen and he was helpful working with the insurance company also.

I enjoyed working with both Jeremy and Joan through the process. Their bid was competitively priced and thorough. More importantly, communication is key to a successful home project and Craftsmen Home Improvements was very responsive to any questions or concerns I had. I?ll be sure to consider them for my next home project.

Start to finish it went pretty smooth. There was a little bit of miscommunication; however that was taken care over the phone. They came and took their time to measure very accurately. We then picked the windows of our choice. They installed the windows in a few days and did a very good job. I was very happy with it. They insulated well around the windows. I would use them in future if need be.

They were very good about talking to us about everything. They went out of their way to make things match. The experience was really good and we were very pleased with them.

I got to know about them through Angie?s list. They came down, analyzed the situation and gave me an estimate. They felt the estimate was way too low and they worked with the adjuster to re do the estimate. They covered the damage which needed repairing which was more than the normal work. They were really good to work with. When they came there was mild fog and they were able to finish the work. The insurance covered most of the price. They did a good job and I can?t find anything wrong. The roof does not leak. They cleaned up after themselves. They ran out of shingles and disappeared. They did not let me know about it. Then they came back and finished up the work. The company was excellent, but the crew spoke only Spanish. Their window crew was exceptional. Those guys were amazing. They replaced all the windows in the north side of the house. They etched all the interior moldings and you can?t say that anything was done. They did a good quality work.

They came out quickly. They gave me a written report saying there wasn?t any damage. The other thing that was nice was that while they were out here, they noticed a lot of debris on the roof from the storm. They had an industrial size leaf blower and blew all the debris off my roof at no charge to me. I thought that was a really nice touch. I would hire them again.

I called Craftsman for an estimate after some problems with a different window company. Those problems were resolved prior to Craftsman coming out for an estimate. I did call Erik (estimator) and explained the situation. He was very understanding and after asking a few questions confirmed the company I decided to use was reputable and would do fine work. I would definitely contact Craftsman again.

As in dentistry, homeowners just want the pain to go away as soon as possible. Craftsmen did everything possible to keep the chaos at a minimum and still complete in a timely fashion. There were daily reports and changes, questions, deliveries, schedule alterations, but their communication with us and among their subs was impressive. The siding is as promised, neat and well-installed, and the porch is fantastic. Their carpenter is a fine craftsman with a great work ethic and we will be hiring him for further projects. They were on time and if not under budget (you have to be careful about "additional costs" on a job like this) at least as advertized.

I can't say enough good things about this company. The window crew was fabulous, as was the siding crew. They put the windows in first, and within a couple of days the siding crew started. Both crews were fast, thorough, and efficient. Most importantly, the quality of work was excellent. Windows were done in less than two days. Siding & soffits were done in two days. Both crews did an excellent job cleaning up. Joan (in the office) was terrific at keeping us informed every step of the way (when the crews would start, when the dumpster would arrive, etc.).

They replaced our roof and everyone was very professional and courteous. They kept me informed every step of the way from when the materials would arrive, what time the dumpster would arrive to when the work would start. They did a great job - not just a great job installing a new roof, but cleaned up everything - even came back for one more sweep with a magnet to make sure they got all the nails. Great job from beginning to end!
