I needed to replace original 90 year old windows. I had 4 bidders come out and give estimates. Craftsmen's bid came in right in the middle of the pack, but they were the only one that offered me the ReEnergize Rebate through the state of MN. I was refunded $1,750 off the total price of the windows. The install was done by 2 gentlemen over 2 days that were extremely respectful of my house and big dog who wasn't to keen on them. The install was done in January, but they did an excellent job of keeping my house warm. The first night with the new windows I had to turn my thermostat down because it was to warm in the house. Instant savings! The wood staining is also a spot on match. I was even able to keep my existing wood blinds. Even though I was home during the install, I would have felt confident to leave a key for these guys. I can't wait to have them out again to finish my house.

We were very pleased overall. Very responsive, competitive bid, great communication and quality work. Everyone we dealt with was incredibly professional. We recommend them very highly.

I contacted Craftsmen Home Improvements, Inc. after we had a hail storm causing damage to our house. We chose this company to do the work because we worked with them in 9/2006 when they originally installed our Solid Core Siding and we were satisfied with the work and found them very pleasant to work with. They were concerned with making sure we were completely satisfied with the job. This job required coordinating repair of the roof, siding and gutters and Craftsmen Home Improvements, Inc. was able to do act as the contractor, deal directly with our insurance company and do all of the work, which made it very easy for me. We are pleased with the completed work and would recommend this company to others.

Craftsmen did a great job overall. There were some delays due mostly to weather (snow and cold) and crew availability so the job took almost 2 weeks start to finish (3 days of actual working)... but they completed one roof at a time and never left me unprotected in any way. The crew shovelled a lot of snow - both from the roof and to make space for their ground tarps. They cleaned up well every workday. The dumpster was on the street in front of my house throughout and the city snowplow left a huge pile of snow and ice chunks in the parking area on my street as they swept around it. But that pile of snow was cleared away (presumably by Craftsman) when the dumpster was picked up and I (and my neighbors) appreciated that extra effort. Craftsmen was very good at calling me regularly throughout the project and at keeping me advised of weather-related revisions in the work schedule.

Craftsmen was recommended to me from a friend of a friend. The salesman that came to the house and met with me several times was very friendly and helpful. He was prompt in returning phone calls and very flexible with coming to my home when it was convenient for me. He also worked with me to get the very most for my money in terms of quality of siding and roofing that my insurance would pay for. The work was done promptly, to my satisfaction the first time through and the workers were good about cleaning up after the job was done. The office manager handled all of the arranging from drop off and pick up of supplies and dumpster as well as all billing questions. She was always keeping me updated on the progress of the job and what would be happening next. She was a pleasure to work with. I had to go into the office to have some insurance paperwork signed and met with the owner of the company who was also a very nice gentleman and insured that I was happy with the work done. Overall very happy with the outcome.

Jim and Craftsmen had replaced our roof so we knew the company. Jim did most of the work himself though on one day had a helper with the larger windows. On a scale of 10, this was a 10. Outstanding windows, outstanding workmanship, house was super clean upon completion of job, Jim is completely responsive to questions (and very patient!), and the result is that we have complete faith and trust in the folks who work at Craftsmen. That does not mean blind faith but in the unlikely event of a mishap, they accept responsibility and make it right. Clearly this is a "customer" centric company. Just a super job and working relationship.

Excellent job. Satisfied with end product. Very professional organization. Eric was very responsive - I asked a lot of questions, different scenarios and what if's. He tolerated me very well and got back to me when I left messages. Even came out to the house in a pouring, drenching rain storm for a final go-over before I signed the contract. My research told me the primed siding and painting afterwards is the best way to go with Hardy siding verus buying the prefinished product. I was impressed that this firm buys the primed product and contracts with a professional painting company to paint (2 coats with quality paint) before they install. They then in touch up anything after installing. We get to select any type of color we want versus having to go with what the siding comapny only offers, which is another great benefit. Communication was always excellent as I was tranistioned from Eric to Joan who was the contact person after contract signed. Joan stayed in touch and kept me informed of all dates, timing and progress. Very impressive communication. The crew arrived on time - were professional and courteous. They worked very fast and obviously were very experienced at doing this. I had a lot of confidence in the 2 foreman - they were good at what they do. The final product looks great. We love the job. The only little hiccup - I had a damaged area behind my old siding and expressed concern that all the rotten wood be replaced. I also asked if they could inspect a board on the front of the house on the 2nd story that looks like it may have water damage from the ground. This was not part of the job but asked if they could replce it if it was indeed starting to rot. I really did not get any further info on these last 2 points so I'm left assuming that everything is OK? Overall, though - the job looks great, the company was professional and communicated well, the crew did fast and quality work, and I feel the price/value was good for the type of service and product I received.

Craftsmen was excellent in every way, really impressive. Price beat the other 3 bids, the communication was perfect and all appointments were perfectly on time. The work was excellent-- they showed pictures of the careful flashing work we asked about and explained their work. Clean-up was spotless. I would recommend them highly.

We met with many different siding companies to research our options. Our final call for an estimate went to Craftsmen, and Eric D. came out to our home (arriving on time), to learn about our project and measure for the estimate. He helped us make our final decision on materials to use and provided guidance on the insurance process. By the time we made our decision, it was too late in the season to move ahead with the project (unlike other companies we've worked with, Craftsmen advised against roofing/siding in the cold), so in agreement with the owner, Dan Bydon, we decided to delay the project until the spring of 2009. True to his word, Dan called in early April, and we scheduled the job to begin - one of the first of the season! Dan's team was great! Everyone was very courteous and easy to work with. At Dan's request, we provided information regarding where the materials and dumpster should be placed, and it was located exactly where we asked for it to go (when there was a mix-up with the dumpster placement, Craftsmen made the company come out and move it to the right place the next day - no problems!!!) The roofing was done in less than one day, the siding, fascia, and gutters in 3 days. The site was cleaned-up and organized every evening and when they left, you could hardly tell they had been there. We would definitely hire Craftsmen again!

Very well. I called the company for an estimate and the salesman, Jeremy, called back and was at my house to give me an estimate within a week. After getting two other estimates I chose this company because of the professionalism of the salesman, the price and the quality of their product. I was under the gun to get this done because my garage had old composite siding that was rotting away and I had been told by the city to repair it. I chose to replace it. The crew was here within 2 weeks, finished the job in one day and cleaned up after themselves. I have a lot of plants in a small yard and they were very careful working around the gardens. I had also had an add-on to this order to replace a gable vent on the back of the house. This was also done in a timely and professional manner. This was not a standard vent as the house was built in 1909. The vent had to be made but it was done promptly and installed professionally.

We felt we were given ample time and information to make our decision, and everyone we worked with from beginning to end kept us posted on schedules and options, made sure we were satisfied with the work, answered our questions, and did an all-around professional job. They accomplished a lot during the time they were here and did a thorough cleanup at the end of each day. Dan, the owner, called a couple times before the project started to update us on timing of the work, and after the project was completed he called to check in again. We're impressed with the employees, their workmanship, and their attention to customer service and satisfaction!

Jeremy worked extensively with us in development of contract terms and conditions as well as additional repairs items we wanted done. His responses to our inquiries were very helpful, complete and timely and he kept track of our specific items for modification of the standard contract form. After the contract was signed, Jeremy maintained contact with us thoughout the project to ensure it was completed to our satisfaction. Finally, he personally worked on some siding repair, garage brick moulding and replacement of a garage service door. This work was not a result of the roofing job but rather accumulated repairs we desired be done at this time. Jeremmy's work was excellent and very much appreciated. However minor this work, we were pleased to have it done and it added to our complete satisfaction of the project. Joan, took the contract, an did an excellent administrative job handling coordination, scheduling and a mutually agreeable installation date as well as communication with us during the period from our signing of the contract through its completion. She is very customer oriented and made us feel at ease throughout the project. She is a true professional and added much to the Craftmen process and our complete satisfaction. The roof removal and re-roof were just simply excellent. The quality of the work, it's timely completion and the professionalism really put us at ease. Clean-up was done completely and the dumpster removed immediately upon the completion of the project, to our delight. Again, custom focus was in play with excellent communication and flexibility in the addition of some soffit vents not in the contract. Overall all Craftsmen personnel did an excellent job and worked smoothly to provide an outstanding work product. Now four months after completion, we are very pleased with the work done. We would strongly recommend Craftsmen for this work.

The work turned out very well. They were good, coming on time and were responsive to any issues that we had. They were easy to work with and listened to what we wanted and then went from there. Overall it was a good experience with them.

It was the best customer service I ever had! It was fabulous! Dan & Joan follow up. They worked with my schedule. Some screens that were delivered the wrong sides, they've come out to check them & double check them, reordering the right size. They are terrific and I would highly recommend them to anyone! They were very consultative in their approach. They worked with me in the types of windows and roof that I wanted and made recommendations in a very cost conscious manner. They take their customer service to an extremely high level.

Craftsmen was very professional. They came in at their estimate. They were fabulous in dealing with the insurance company, I never had to deal with them. They showed up at their scheduled times, worked hard and got it done. There was always a contact person at the office who would pick up the phone when I had questions. Their cleanup was very good although not perfect, still a few nails in the yard after the gutter guys left. The roof guys' cleanup was excellent though.

Great customer service from start to finish, very professional staff from estimate to office staff to crew foreman and roofers. I couldn't say enough positive things about this company. Highly recommend! They kept me informed every step of the way, clean up was impeccable, the crew foreman was outstanding. Joan, the office person kept me abreast of any updates to the plan. My skylight is beautiful, not only was it placed, but also the finish work inside was top notch.

CRAFTSMEN IS AWESOME. From bid to final clean-up, they were extremely communicative and responsive. I was assgined my own customer-care liaison who called daily with updates on start and end (it was a rainy week), and who facilitated communication and Q&A with the field. She even patched me straight thru to guys in the field, while I was at work. The additional re-decking, an unknown until the old roofing was off, was a relatively minor charge, only 3% of total, and was the only charge not true to bid - no big deal. The workmanship and quality was top-notch, the gutter guy was innovative in helping us fix a downspout placement issue, and their clean-up is SUPERIOR. The roofers were even super nice to the kids at the in-home daycare next door, waving and talking to them during the kids' recess. The kids later began "playing roofer." :)

It went very well. They were organized. They did it quickly; they did a good job. I don't have any bad things to say about them.

My roof was old when I bought my house over two years ago. After a storm went through south Minneapolis, the roof began to leak and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately it was just old and not storm damaged so insurance would not cover it. I got estimates from 3 companies and was most impressed with Jim Kosloski with Craftsmen. He was very professional and thorough. I did not feel like he was trying to take advantage of me. While his price was not the lowest of the 3 estimates, it appeared the most thorough and include the most work. The work was completed 3+ weeks after I accepted the bid, mostly because of all the rain this October. Joan at Craftsmen kept me updated as to when the work might be taking place. The day of the work, she was also in touch with me with questions from the worksite. Joan was very friendly and professional. She took my concerns seriously and answered all my questions. The work ended up taking 2 days. The guys came out on a Saturday to finish up the work. I felt that they were professional and I am very satisfied with the finished product. They cleaned up the yard well. I chose hunter green architectural shingles which look wonderful. I believe it has added alot of value to my house. I would recommend Craftsmen Home Improvements.

Everything that was replaced looks good and professional and I've had no water leaking in anywhere after 6 months. Dan Bydlon came out to the house and gave detailed estimate of what it would cost and the final cost was very close. Joan (scheduling) kept me well informed of when the crew would be starting work and when the dumpster would come. It was a two day job, everything went well and no mess or damage occurred to my property.

Their bid was high. They were fine but a little aggressive and the capital is a laid back a bit. I have used them earlier but their prices have gone up now.

From start to finish all aspects of this project were handled very well. Eric (sales rep) provided the in's and out's of various window options, responded questions quickly and made sure the windows were tax rebate program eligible. We really liked the fact the installers had worked for the company for quite some time, came to the house to confirm the measurements and assess the project for possible install glitches. The painting and staining were well done, too. The install was completed on targeted timelines, all work was superb and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.

From start to finish we had the very best experiance with Craftsmen! There was hail damage to our roof and this was the first time we had to file an insurance claim. What could have been a stressful experiance was anything but with these folks. Looked on Angies List and called to get a few different bids, Craftsman was the only one to call us back not to mention the highest rated on the list (go figure). Joan!!!!! We worked with Joan and she was the best ever! She is excellent in every way. We never wondered when the work would start or finish. There were a couple of weather delays but she kept us informed at every turn, not to mention answering my million and one questions about the insurance process. The workers we excellent, skilled, and respectful. When I came home the day the roof was completed everything was tidy, if the beautiful new roof had not been there as proof I wouldn't have guessed they had been there at all! I would hire these folks back in a heartbeat! Thanks Craftsman!!!!

Erik was the salesman who proposed what could be done for my window and door replacement job. Out of several companies interviewed, Erik was the only person who gave me a satisfactory answer to how the new windows could be installed without damaging the existing soffet and gable paneling that covered the tops of the window brick molding. The main installation was skillfully done by Jim and Tom. They installed the window and patio door units, along with the outside trim. Dustin was their helper, who among other things made sure that the worksite was cleaned up at the end of every day. Jay installed the inside trim - beautiful workmanship. All of the internal woodwork was stained and varnished by Craftsmen prior to delivery to the job site. This eliminated having to smell stain and varnish odors in the house. The job took 6 1/2 days to complete, with no surprises or problems to deal with. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience from beginning to end.
