Showed up on time.....swept up garage floor cleaner than it was before they showed up.....excellent work....know their business and very respectful.

We were very happy with the outcome. The estimate was done thoroughly and explained very well to us. The windows are configured in a non-standard way and required both the estimate and the actual work to be done expertly and thoughtfully. The work was completed in two workdays. Craftsman worked around our schedule and were very flexible. The work was done very well. They matched incredibly well the paint on the outside and the stain on the inside. We were very impressed with how they finished each workday with the house as clean as when they arrived. They even took the time to repair a sliding patio door. Overall, we were very pleased and will very likely use Craftsman again.

I contacted them for an estimate through their website, and Kim let me know that unfortunately, they do not perform the service that I needed. However, she responded very quickly (next morning) and was extremely helpful.She asked a few questions and then gave me two referrals in my area.I thought it was very admirable and considerate for her to go out or her way to help me when there was nothing in it for the company - other than good service. Very impressed.

We had Jim come out for an initial estimate. We have had heating/cooling issues with our finished second story along with ice dam problems when there are heavier snow loads. He was very helpful in explaining our insulation options and describing how they could add venting in our soffits to allow airflow up to the peak to help offset some of the ice dam issues. Initially we were split on whether we wanted to go with just an extra layer of R13 or go with foam insulation. The foam was significantly more expensive (additional $8K) when compared to typical Owens Corning and we just didn't see enough additional benefit to offset the incremental cost. Jim was very open and helpful in making this decision. Once we got the job scheduled their office contact Joan was in constant contact with me to make sure we knew what to expect and to answer any questions we had on the process. Their foreman Matt did a walk through with me the first morning and handled receipt of all the deliveries. I didn't have to worry about a thing, they were very organized and knew exactly all of the details we laid out when we put our project together with Jim. They cleaned up every day, stayed off our neighbors lawns, and did a fantastic job. Initially the soffits they ordered did not match and they quickly got the right materials before installation. Also, there was a little damage to two of our window screens but they came right back out and fixed them good as new. We are very happy with their work and would certainly recommend them to anyone. Very pleasant personalities and easy to work with. A+++

I can't say enough about my experience with " Craftsmen Home Improvements" The results of their work was a noticeable reduction of exterior noise from my single pane windows. Jim, Tomy Ben worked hard and coufully. They made sure theinstallation was perfect arrived on time & cleaned up.

Due to previous remodeling problems, I was quite nervous, but I am happy to say that I am extremely pleased with the results and I leave this recommendation without hesitation. Truly everything was well organized by Jim Koslowski ; and Joan, the right hand person in the office, would let me know what was happening play by play, which due to the ill weather made this job quite a challenge since the rains kept coming. But no problem at all, since the crew members seemed very good at what they do in addition to being very respectful and friendly and their good guidance.

We called for an estimate. Someone from Craftsmen showed up on time. He was friendly and seemed very knowledgeable and competent. The quote he gave us is what we paid. The job was scheduled and the roofers showed up on time. They completed the job on time. The cleanup was perfect--there is no indication that they were ever here except for a beautiful new roof. The customer service from the office was also excellent.

Overall it was FANTASTIC. Office staff was very accomidating, professional and supurb to talk to. On site contact was awesome, keeping us informed of the progress and time to completion. Could not have been better.

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Craftsmen Home Improvements and the quality of their work. I contacted them in March and they sent Erik within 3 days to take some measurements so they could give me an estimate on the siding, gutters and insulation work I was thinking about getting done. We talked about options, and as I wanted it to be maintenance free I thought I'd like to go with Hardie siding. Erik recommended I look at the Hardie website to see the siding options and showed me some samples. As I also needed the gutters replaced, and he gave recommended another website for the gutters they work with so I could check them out. One of my biggest concerns about having my rambler re sided is that I wanted to make sure the end result had some style to it. The next week Erik sent the estimate for the work. The estimate was amended a couple of times as I decided I wanted to use 3 types of siding (shingles, panel and lap) to give the appearance of my ramble some dimension. I also had all of the doors and windows wrapped in aluminum so they would be no maintenance as well. Once I paid the 50% down payment, Dan Bydlon stayed in touch with me throughout the process to keep me informed regarding the schedule and when I could expect people at the house. They delivered the siding and soffit materials by May 22nd and finished the entire job by June 1st. Every light fixture and house number was back in place. I appreciated their neatness, professionalism and attention to detail. They did a great job. Ever since it 's been finished I've had neighbors stop in the street to tell me how wonderful my house looks...like a completely new house. Not surprisingly there was a little damage to the grass as there were supplies in the yard, but it came back with watering. This was not an inexpensive job but it was worth every penny. They were great to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

In 2010 we contract with Craftsmen Home Improvements to replace the siding on our home in Burnsville MN. Project was done on time with a great crew. The front window box was replaced during the project and without a load (dirt / water) seemed fine. But then over a year later the siding behind the box started pulling away from the house and we had to remove the box to stop the damage. So in 2012 we contacted Craftsmen Home Improvement to have someone look at the issue. We sent an email to Joan and got a reply within a hour that Dan would calling us to resolve the issue. Dan called that afternoon and reviewed the issue then scheduled a carpenter to remount the window box under the lifetime warranty. The window box was remounted on the scheduled day with added supports. Now we have a window box full of flowers (dirt / water) with no issues. Craftsmen Home Improvements stood behind their work and gave extremely prompted follow-up service under the lifetime warranty. We can defiantly recommend the team at Craftsmen Home Improvements to anyone looking for great service that won?t stop after the payment has been made. We are a very delighted customer. The project was one of the most painless of my life. They came out to estimate, gave us what I considered to be a fair estimate, and then returned to measure, and once again to install. On both occasions, they completed the entire job in one day. If you didn't know they'd been there, you never would have guessed - there wasn't one bit of evidence that a big project had been completed, except that the windows were new. I got prepainted windows and didn't have to do anything at all. They worked around furniture and left the house in perfect shape. All of the people at Craftsmen that I worked with (Erik, Dan, Tom) were exceedingly professional. I highly recommend Craftsmen Home Improvements.

Excellent service - No problems regarding timing or installation - very competent workmen. Office staff was terrific.

'I met with Jim (Supervisor) and Matt (Crew Foreman) several times before and during the job. Joan at the main office took great care of all the details [ keeping me up to date with phone calls and emails, materials delivery schedules, dumpster placement, permits, etc. ] as well as answering all my questions. I also was able to speak to the owner of Craftsmen who explained a few things to me...to help settle my nerves prior to the start of work! The job Supervisor [Jim] even stopped by one Sunday prior to the start of the job [ on his own time! ] to double check the color selection of the trim aluminum that was going to be used. We modified the color choice just a little bit and the result is a perfect match with the existing trim. Matt was also a pleasure to work with. As job foreman, he kept and eye on the progress of the job and made sure his crew had all they needed so there was no "waiting around" time. This also included bottled water and Subway sandwiches 40' up on the roof! Finally...the crew themselves. What can I say but terrific!!! I never saw 4 guys work so hard for 3 days straight in my life! Everything went up to the roof by ladder. Just watching them completely exhausted me! Overall, I am extremely pleased with the work Craftsmen did. Since the roof has been finished, we have had several pretty heavy rain storms. I just sit inside, smile and watch the water splash out of the downspouts! It was worth every cent! I would give Craftsmen my highest recommendation.

They were very efficient and professional. I was impressed at how quickly the work went - everything was completed in approximately 3 days. They cleaned up everything before leaving each day. Prior to the work commencing they kept me apprised of scheduling status by e-mail and phone. They also provided excellent advice related to type of flashing and drip-edge to use and stainless steel roofing nails (as opposed to aluminum nails that I thought were better for flashing - but were not). Their contract form was fair and not one-sided. Their price was not the lowest of the estimates I had received, but their approval rating on Angie's List was so high, I decided that I would go with them and I was happy that I did. I would not hesitate to use them again for any renovation project I might have.

We had a number of bids for roofing and were very impressed with Craftsmen from start to finish. Everything about this organization is top-drawer, from the estimator who thoroughly and patiently explained everything they would do, how they would do it, and the materials they would use. Joan, in the office, stayed on top of the schedule and always kept us in the loop about how the schedule was looking. In the end, the follow-through was terrific. We had one shrub that seemed to have suffered a bit from the tarp covering (it was very hot, and perhaps it was left on too long), and they offered to replace it with no questions asked (we just had it trimmed, and they very graciously paid for that.) Would use them again with no hesitation, and highly recommend them to all.

Jim came out and took a look at the roof and gave us some good advice and a detailed plan. They did the complete roof to the house as well as the detached garage. They alos replaced the gutters and downspouts. Underneath the gutters they found some boards that didn't go all the way to the roof and they updated those as well for a very minimal price. Other than that it all went very well - on time, on estimate, and they cleaned up nicely.

Pretty well. They messed up the initial date for installation, but they ended up giving me a nice price reduction for the trouble of being home on 2 occaisions. The plan was to insulate above the access door, but do to a counterweight system, they were unable to do so. They did a good job of weather stripping around it.

Perfect--not a complaint. I had four different crews perform work on the house. The first crew installed new support, flooring and windows on the front porch. The windows are wonderful and have created a three season porch in a space that was not used before the window install. The second crew fixed a rotted garage roof and reshingled. When they were done, I did not find a nail anywhere. The third crew installed James Hardie siding on the house and garage, aluminum trim around all the windows and aluminum soffit. Again, I came home each night to a clean yard--truly amazing. The last crew installed gutters and gutter guards. The company has their act together. The timing of everything was perfect. The crews are very well orchestrated.

As always, Dan Bydlon (owner) was responsive, explained what needed to happen, and his team was on site when promised. The job required a lot of cutting around pipe, removing/replacing the patio door frame, etc. All the work looked like it was done with the original work. The door frame in front was going to be done with a different material, and Dan suggested we replace both sides so it would match - a good suggestion as it looks very nice. Overall, I have been very happy with the quality and professionalism with Craftsmen. I highly recommend them for large projects.

I called to get an estimate replacing the roof, Jim arrived promptly at the scheduled time, and provided me with a detailed estimate before leaving that morning. My wife had some followup questions, which Jim answered promptly. We selected them ahead two cheaper bids because we felt they would do the best job and and had a lifetime workmanship guarantee. Joan worked with us to get ready for the work, picking shingle color, providing addresses of houses with the shingle colors were interested in. Matt and his crew arrived on time and completed the job in one day. No mess was left around the house.My wife was on a business trip and could not tell that there had been any extra activity around the house. It was like the roof was replaced by the magic. Very pleased we choose them to do our roof.

Everything went great! I learned about this company through searching Angie's list and took advantage of their Angie's list deal for attic inspection. We had been needing better attic insulation & new roofing for awhile. I had been communicating with Jim Kosloski since February of this year about re-insulating our attic and installing a new roof. Initially, I barely knew anything about attic insulation & roofing. Jim did a good job helping me figure out what to get. Jim was planning on just adding more insulation to the existing insulation in our attic, but after communicating with him for awhile he brought up foam options which appealed to me. Jim offered to come down in price with his contracts if I got bids from other contractors offering lower estimates. Jim was prompt and communicated well with me through the whole process. He even did research for me when I had questions for him. Jim seemed honest and I never felt like he was trying to take advantage of me. The installation team seemed very nice and professional. They seemed to be organized & efficient in their work. Looking at the roof & attic complete, it looks like they did a great job. They seemed to follow through with everything in our contract and paid attention to subtle details other lower bidders may miss like putting a rubber gasket between the attic opening for a tighter seal, cardboard walls around the attic opening to prevent insulation from spilling out when you open it, installing more roof & sophet vents, sealing up openings, and cleaning up well after themselves so I didn't have to worry about doing that myself when they were done. Before pursing projects like this, contact your homeowner's insurance and ask them to come out and see if they can cover any of the work. I did that, and even though they said none of the damage could be covered, they can still give you a discount on your annual homeowner's insurance premium for specific types of shingles installed. Using reputable companies like this to install them will help insure you are eligible for the discounted programs. My insurance company (Farmers) gave me a huge discount on our annual premium and a better protection program for the new roofing so make sure you contact insurance before you pursue. I also asked Jim to give me an estimate on new windows for our house even though we had those already done earlier by a different company (Twin City Windows) just to see what they would have charged us and their estimate was only a little more, surprising, given the difference in size of the companies. I would highly recommend them. They are organized and give you honest labor & price for materials.

From the initial quote from Erik to the final review with Dan, we were treated professionally and respectfully, all of our questions were answered and concerns addressed. They are committed to 100% customer satisfaction!

From the moment I met Jim I felt comfortable. He listened to my needs, explained them back to me so I knew he understood and then went above and beyond what I had asked him to do. We are not in a place where we need to replace our roof; however, we will be within the next five years. I will certainly be bringing him back to do that work. I don't remember the last time I got this level of service. I was very impressed and felt he was very thorough.
