Very good job overall. Showed up when they said they would for measurements. Pleasant to deal with and respectful of our needs. Made some good suggestions with which we are very happy. Showed up on time for the replacement job and fixed what needed to be fixed after consulting us first. We are happy with the windows and installation.

The company was very responsive to our original meeting setup and came out and did a thorough inspection. Fortunately for us we didn't need any additional insulation, so they said they would refund the cost of the coupon. I couldn't ask for anything better. Company seems thorough and truly seems to care about their customers. We would definitely recommend them. They seem honest and maybe someday we will have a chance to use their services.

The sales person was very responsive to my suggestions, and provide me with real feedback during the planning stage of how and what to do. I felt that he tried to accommodate what I wanted to do, and at the same time also gave me options that I could choose from. After settling on a configuration of doors+windows, I received a detailed quote the next day. Receiving feedback for the plan from friends and other window installers I continued to get comparable quotes with any modification that I considered. After this process I settled on the original plan, and I was happy with my choice. Later when the installers came to measure for the new windows, I was even more happy. The way they (Tom and Jim) went about it, instilled me with complete confidence in their interest in making MY windows just perfect. They discussed how best to deal with some tricky joints, and how they would do it. Their confidence in themself and the other person, showed to me that these are top notch people. After ordering the windows, Kim came out to help me choose the right colors for the wood trim, and once again a great experience. She was prepared, well informed and helped me with selecting just the right color, and I am very happy with my choice after it is installed When the windows where delivered, Tom was at my residence to receive them, and took care of everything. On the days of the installation, I left the house to Tom and JIm, and every day when I came home from work it was a joy to see what they had done. Punctual, precise and just great carpentry skills, and I could not be happier. This is not my first time having contractors, but by far my best contractors, and I would choose them again.

Excellent! We solicited three bids for this project - Craftsman was was priced right in the middle. Their customer service ratings by others on Angie's list were quite high, which was very helpful to see. Once we called for an appointment, the service was prompt and efficient. Kim and Joan were prompt with arranging a sales call, samples and any follow up information we needed. Jim the sales person and expert, was so informative and straightforward in explaining our options, the process, etc., that we opted for Craftsman. We had a lot of questions about what exactly had to be done, as this is a house from 1950 and we could not find evidence of a previous re-roofing job. We didn't know if there were special considerations for older homes. Jim was able to lay out all potential steps that would take place and which materials would be best to use. The work was performed quickly and professionally. Every step of the process occurred the way in which Jim explained it would. It took place on time, no delays. If we need future work, I would definitely call this company.

Craftsmen worked closely with my insurance company to ensure that all hail damage was estimated and repaired. When work showed that more repairs were needed, they secured permission from the insurance company for the new repairs. Craftsmen came in with the lowest bid, despite using higher quality materials than the other bidders; and I am pretty sure that their work was of higher quality than the other bidders would have supplied. Craftsmen arrived promptly for the initial estimate, started work on time and completely work quickly and on schedule. The work crew was highly skilled and professional. All plants and structures were protected. When a minor accident left some tulips with broken stems, they compensated me generously without my asking. The cleanup was immaculate -- in the time since the work was done, I have found one small patch of a roofing shingle left behind. I was most impressed by their work.

Great experience! We left for work one day and returned to a great looking new roof and no mess or fuss!

Jim came out to the house to check on what was needed to be done and gave me an estimate. Later this estimate was confirmed by e-mail. A time for the work to be done was established. The crew was ill on that date, but the work was completed at a later date that was good for everyone There was communication between the company and me during the entire time. The crew, office staff, and salesman were very professional. Everyone went out of their way to make sure that the work went well and that I was treated with respect.

Sorry - I put this imformation in the above section. It will not let me copy and paste, so please read these in reverse. Angie's List offered a deal on attic insulation - $500 worth for $150. I called the recommended company to ask a few questions. Knowing that if I didn't accept the bid I would be refunded my $150 I invited them to my home for an estimate. The estimate was done a week prior to attic insulation, by Craftsmen Home Improvements (763-441-5552), and I agreed to have them perform the services. Following a Home Energy Audit by Center Point Energy, the insulation was completed, s scheduled.

Once we decided to use them Craftsman helped us immensely through the protracted insurance payment negotiations. The crew that did the work was very polite and professional. The only slight hiccup was that they did not inform us until the end of a housing code change that we had to meet since we had some windows replaced, and we had to scramble to get that done before the inspection was done.

We received a quote for our planned project but went with another firm.

We knew when we bought our home that we would need to replace the windows. We also were expecting a child. The timing was such that I had the baby and brought him home while the windows were being replaced. The team was so professional and considerate. The windows fit our needs perfectly and our house is so much better for it.

The process wnt great: They were here on time, went right to work, laid down plastic to protect the flooring and bedroom furniture where the attic access was. They answered my questions and explained what they were doing. They cleaned up everything to my wife's delight. They were done with everything in around 4 hours. Everything was done well and there were no hassles or unpleasant surprises.

Very happy with the work. The workers are all very polite. They cleaned messes up everyday before they left. When took off the sidings around one of my chimneys, they found that there were nothing inside besides the frames. So they added boards then the sidings to make it meet the codes. I was only asked to pay the materials, which was not included in the estimate. After the work, Dan called me a couple of times to make sure that I am 100% satisfied with the work. Very good service.

The price seemed high at first but after seeing so many workers spending all day on my attic it made me feel like I got a good deal. High quality work. Very, very nice to work with. Left my house clean. I highly recommend.

The coupon was only valid for a whole house and we did not need the whole house done just repairs.

The estimate given was too expensive for me. The coupon was for $150.00 for $500.00 in work, they were not able to do the job for the $500.00. It really went smooth till I got the estimate.

Craftsmen deserves all of the rave reviews you'll read here. They were a pleasure to work with: responsive, punctual, thorough and neat. Although the time from estimate to completion of the job was a bit longer than I anticipated, it was no problem and once the job was started, it went smoothly. There were quite a few windows to be installed--some of them fairly large. The took great care to contain the mess; I think my garage was cleaner at the end of the job than it had been at the beginning! Kim and Eric did a great job returning my calls and answering my questions and Kim's good eye for color insured that the windows that were stained rather than painted look like they've been there forever. The building inspector came by today and commented several times about the quality of the job. Although Craftsmen did not manufacture the windows (I chose Marvin's), I'm delighted with the features of the windows. The house is noticeably warmer and I'm actually looking forward to spring when I can take advantage of the tilt-in feature as I clean windows!

Overall, the work was great from the beginning. Jim came over a few weeks prior to take a look at everything and draw up an estimate/proposal in a matter of minutes. He was very friendly and curteous and explained all of the work to me. He also used an infrared sensor to show me all the places we have cold air coming in which was very helpful. I then set up an appointment with Kim, who was great also. Matt and crew arrived to do the work. They were on time, efficient and very professional. They did all the work in less time than expected and left our house clean. I then worked with Jean on billing. She asked me if I needed her to fill out the paperwork for our energy provider discount - something I hadn't even thought of - and I really appreciated that. We're still processing that but it should save us another couple hundred bucks. Again, overall it was a fantastic experience for us. A very professional, efficient operation but friendly at the same time. No complaints. We would definitely use Craftsmen again.

Everything was fine. There were more nails and sheet metal shreds than I expected, but I had never had this type of work done before, so I didn't know what to expect.

All the work was completed exactly as discussed, and is performing very well so far. I believe the work took them longer than they quoted, so it was very re-assuring that the crew came back for a second fully day and completed everything well (rather than hurrying to complete in 1 day). This company is off-the-charts GREAT in terms of responsiveness, communication, and professionalism. Would certainly work with them again and recommend. They were also very helpful in completing paperwork to get insulation rebate from CenterPoint Energy for insulation project (after they initially recommended I do a home energy audit to qualify for the rebate). Top notch outfit in all respects!

Jim Kosloski, gave us a lot of valuable information on his estimating of our situation in our attic. I would not hesitate to have Craftsmen Home Improvements do the work if the crew is even half as good as the image and professionalism Jim and Craftsmen Home Improvements showed us.

Jim came out and did the evaluation to see what we needed in terms of insulation. He was up in the attic and walked through the house. He showed me and explained, our insulation was pretty good but could use a little more in the corners and overall. Our biggest energy leak was our windows. We also talked about replacing the ventilation fans in the bathroom and the kitchen, another contractor had said they were old and new ones wouldn't fit so there would be cosmetic repair needed - Jim said they could do it. I scheduled the work for a few weeks later. The crew was very nice. On time, Hard working. The lead guy was friendly and checked with me on details. He showed me how the ventilation fans would look and asked if that was ok. They covered a lot of area with tarps and cloths and they cleaned up when they were done. The insulation work was very dusty, I was working in my office in the house. The work crew was wearing respirators and full jumpsuits, I was just breathing in all the dust. I put on a kerchief over my face - but be warned, you might want to be out of the house, or have a nose and mouth covering. The dustiness gradually went down after they left, but there is still a bit of dust in the air a few days later. No mess on floors or surfaces, they did a good job cleaning up.
