When we purchased our new home, we knew there was some previous water damage due to prior stucco issues. We decided it would be best to remove all the stucco and have it resided. When Erik came out for evaluations, he was very up front about the work needed and was happy to answer (my many, many) questions. Later, when discussing our options for siding, we discussed the pros and cons of vinyl siding, Hardie board, and which would be appropriate for our house and neighborhood. Erik clearly communicated the options, without pressuring us into any particular one. Since we had the work done in January, the beginning of the project got delayed a couple times due to extreme wind chill temps. Dan was very up front, communicating that he was watching the weather and the crew would be back as soon as possible. Then, once the work started, the crew was very efficient with their work. They communicated progress of the rot removal and repair along the way. Dan also followed up for further lawn cleanup after the snow was gone. We were very happy with CHI, and will definitely look them up again in the future.

They have great customer service, they have great product and always communicated with me if there were any issues. They were pleasant to work with.

We selected this company based on the reviews on Angie's List to replace the siding on our home after it sustained hail damage. They were absolutely amazing to work with. Everything they did was so far above and beyond our expectations. The company's sales rep, Erik, was professional and enjoyable to work with. He walked us through the details of our project and kept us in the loop as he worked with our insurance company to get the money necessary to replace the siding. He created an itemized invoice that was easy to understand and included the siding replacement, upgrades, and other projects we asked for. Erik quickly responded to every call and question we had. The communication was great. The side projects we requested needed to be complete before the siding was installed. We received an email from Dan before each project began telling us what would be done, when they would like to do it, who would be working on it, and about how long it would take. We always knew what was going on, what was coming next, and when the project would be done. The project was very well coordinated and efficient. The insulation went in one day, a few days later they were back to put the window in, a few days later the dumpster was delivered, the next day the siding project began, 7 days later the siding project was done, the next day the dumpster was gone and the city inspector was here looking it over. At the end of the project we requested a walk-through with their project foreman, Pat. He took us through the project and answered all of the questions we had. He also came back a few weeks later, after the snow had melted, to take care of a detail we discussed during the walk-through and to make sure that all of the project debris was picked up. We cannot say enough good things about this company and the people working there. We have already asked them back for a bid on another project and look forward to working with them again.

They were great and did very good work. We are already working with them again to continue on the other sides of the house. There was a bit of difficult communication around timing of the window crew versus the siding crew, but this was not really an issue in the end. Would (and will) hire again.

Completed the audit and quoted the recommended work. I quoted with 2 other providers - all told, the Angie's List deal was priced into the quote - the amount of the "savings" was actually lower than the premium quoted for this provider vs. similar competition. What a joke.

IOne word - Awesome. I had three window companies come out to bid on replacing some windows. The first two companies Renewable by Anderson and Rusco came out and bid. I wanted a third bid and they were the only one of the three that closely reviewed and looked at my windows. They discovered that there was hail damage to most of my windows. They worked with my insurance company and very quickly reached an agreement. I was only going to replace 7 windows until this was discovered. There was a delay, not caused by Craftsmen, because the Sheerer Brothers who made the sashes was off for Christmas two weeks and one week in January for inventory. Kim and Eric kept me updated on the install date. They came out Feb 2-4 and replaced 37 window sashes and one sliding glass door. They were on time and very neat. My house is for sale so I went there at the completion of the project thinking I might have some minor clean up. With the exception of having sparkling windows, you could not tell they had been there. Very professional. They called the City of EP and scheduled the inspections. During that call Kim said the city was very picky about making sure carbon monoxide and smoke detectors were up to code. I had one smoke detector that needed to be replaced. Kim said they would send someone out and replace the smoke detector for me. Inspections are scheduled for the Feb 16. I can not recommend this company enough. I will let everyone of my friends know about them I can not think of a single thing I would improve. Perfection. I think this site needs an A+.

Installed insulation in attic of single-family home. As far as I can tell as a non-expert, they did a good job installing the insulation, and performing all tests of airflow etc. Also cleaned up nicely and left no mess. They did a very good job of communicating from the time of the estimate, through scheduling the work, to completing the work. The price was pretty standard for installing attic insulation in this size of home, but they did also offer a $500 coupon and completed the forms for us to get a refund from the gas company. They came on the day and time that was scheduled, and I appreciated their responsivness in starting the job a bit earlier in the morning as I had asked. All around good job and nice people to work with.

Great from start to finish. Kim efficiently got us scheduled for a visit from Jim. Jim went over the house and compared notes to the Xcel Energy Audit Report to make sure nothing was missed, and found a few extra things that clearly need to be fixed (for example, bathroom fans that weren't vented right). Rich got us scheduled, and when weather interfered with completion of some of their outside jobs, kept us informed about the delay for our work; he easily fit us into another date that worked for us. Matt and crew came out to do the work, were on time, and were a pleasure. Their day went extra long, and they had to come back the next morning to finish up. They were able to do the work without our need to stay there, and the cleanup was great. Since we couldn't be there for the final work and a walk through, we routed some questions we had after the work to Rich. They were quickly answered by Rich (in consultation with Matt). Rich had the Xcel rebate paperwork mailed us right away, ready to sign and to send to Xcel. This is our second multi-faceted project with them. Based on my previous experience with them, they were the first people I thought to call regarding this new project. It has been a pleasure working with each and every CHI member I've met, traded emails with, and/or talked with on the phone.

We couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out. The siding was very professionally installed, with great attention to detail. Craftsmen's people were great to work with, kept the site clean and kept us unformed throughout the project.

We were thoroughly impressed with the customer service and work -- from start to finish. My wife met with Jim when he came out to our home to take measurements. He had a quote to us by that evening. The majority of the work was done in one day and everything was cleaned up to our satisfaction. Joan also provided wonderful customer service when scheduling the work to be done, preparing us for what the timeline looked like, giving us an update of when the work would be finished and then invoicing us in a timely manner. She was friendly and able to answer any questions we had. We'd definitely recommend Craftsmen to anyone!

We have used Craftsmen twice in the past 6 years. The first job was for a roof replacement and the second was window replacement due to hail damage. They have a high level of integrity and are very responsive to any issues that might arise. The window replacement was a very large job which ended up getting pushed back into November and December. At that time there were only two men (Tom and Jim) who worked on the job. They did an excellent job but we felt it would have been much better for the customer if there had been more people to assist them so the job would not have taken 3-4 weeks. I mentioned this after the job was completed and I think they appreciated the feedback. They replaced all but one window in our home and that was a long time to have your home in disarray. The quality of their work is excellent and we have noticed a drop in our utility bills. The house is also cooler during the summer and warmer in winter. Eric was the salesperson and negotiated for great quality windows. We did have some issues with the replacement of the downspouts and problems with the caulk around the windows. Dan is very conscientious and did everything in his power to correct any problems we encountered. Kim's work staining the windows is beyond superior. She is a true artist. We also appreciated the communication she maintained to let us know the schedule. Tom and Jim were a pleasure to work with and did a fabulous job installing the windows. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to my friends and family. We were very impressed with the quality of their work and even more impressed with their sincere concern for the customer to make sure any issues that arose were quickly remedied. A belated thank you to the crew for their very hard work and dedication to the customer.

They were excellent. This was probably one of the best companies we've worked with. Their office person, Joan, was really good at coordinating things. The foremen of the crew that was here was really good. We asked him to do a couple of additional things in the attic. We had our roof done before by another company and it wasn't nearly as good. Everything was top notch.

The service went fine. They did what the deal stated. 3-4 technicians came out and completed the job in about 4 hours. The technicians were punctual and professional. They were great at cleaning up after themselves. I had no problem scheduling the deal.

Craftsmen was prompt in responding to my request for quotation. I requested estimates from seven companies listed on Angieslist, and received six quotations. Two quotes exceeded $20,000 while the other four were closely clustered around $15,000. I chose Craftsmen out of the lowest four based on the excellent presentation by their sales representative, who explained the various materials and options in detail, as well as how the actual re-roofing process would work. The front office was great, and worked with me to get the project scheduled before winter arrived. (The job was completed on November 7, and the first snowfall hit on November 10.) The crew arrived on time, worked until nightfall on the first day, and completed the job around noon the second. (They might have gotten it done in one day in the summer when there is more daylight.) The new roof looks great, and the crew did an excellent job of cleaning up the construction debris. April 7, 2015 update -- City inspector did the final inspection today (the November 10 snow caused the city to postpone until Spring). No problems found. Inspector told me the contractor had done a good job.

Fabulous! Unlike other providers who gave us an estimate, the salesperson has actually installed windows and gave the estimate based on experience. He was willing to work with me when I changed my mind about the type of windows I wanted. The office staff was friendly and helpful. When the installers actually arrived, they were extremely neat. They used tarps, cleaned after themselves and left the areas better when they arrived. They were a very friendly crew, who unloaded my groceries when I was sort of in their way and even fixed my loose bannister! Everything went better than expected. My windows look great and I would highly recommend this company.

The CHI sales person was extremely helpful in the entire process with working with our insurance company and the adjuster to get assess the damage and receive the approval from the insurance company. The CHI Roofing and Siding teams took care of getting all necessary permits, were great at communicating the entire construction process all the way through completion and inspection by the city.

This was via an insurance claim for hail damage. Craftsmen's employees walked me through the process well, helped me undertstand what to expect and was extremely patient and responsive to all my questions and needs. The project was done ahead of scheduled and fit into the insurance budget required. They went above and beyond on all fronts! I would highly recommend them for any job. I used them earlier in the year for Windows and they did amazing on both projects.

Top notch service. From the initial contact through the end of the process, our inquiries were addressed in a timely manner. Eric our sales rep, was thorough and accommodating in that he was able to meet me at my job to sign the papers for the work to proceed. Rich, our Project Manager, kept us informed through every step of the process and answered our many newbie questions with patience and detail. The crew that worked on our home were great as well - friendly and worked to please - they checked in with us each day and informed us of each step in the process as well. The crew also paid great attention to cleaning up the yard upon finishing. Kim provided us with great examples of what the colors and contrast would look like on our home. We love our new siding and gutters and have received numerous compliments on the look and work. Thank you, Craftsmen.

The job went very smoothly. The roofers and shingles arrived on time. They laid tarps around the house to catch pieces of the old shingles as they fell. They worked steadily and were able to remove the old shingles and some vent pipes quickly. When the dumpster filled with only two-thirds of the old shingles, the crew chief had it removed and another delivered. When the roofing was finished, they painted some of the vents brown to match the Desert Tan color of the shingles. I appreciated that little detail very much. They also replaced the plastic shields I had on my gutters that came off as the old shingles were removed. The crew walked the yard and made sure all remnants of the old roof, any nails, pieces of plastic or paper were picked up. The job was completed in one day! I had also requested that new 3X4 downspouts be installed to replace the old 2X3 downspouts. This was done the next morning and I am very pleased with the new downspouts. All in all, I would heartily recommend Craftsmen Home Improvements to anyone needing a new roof in the Twin Cities area. They were very professional and did a wonderful job, not only the actual roofing but in communicating with me every step of the way.

Don't recall much about the details now, just that it went smoothly. There were no issues with scheduling, cleanliness or quality. We instantly felt the difference in temperature (and continue to feel the difference in both winter and summer).

Obtained 4 roof bids. Customer service from this company impressed us from the start. Wonderful communication and organization throughout. Sent an email a few days before with tips, suggestions and expectations for our preparation that covered even more than we had thought about. Coordinated the schedule and the work with the foam insulation company we chose. Covered everything to protect from damage around the house. Worked on the roof from 7am to 7pm for 3 days. Cleaned up each day and extensively at the end of the project. Even the neighbors commented on how hard they workd, how well they cleaned up and the quality of the work. Would definitely recommend them and would use them again. The roof looks great.

Craftsmen did a fine job. The workmen arrived when they were scheduled to begin the job. They put protective material around my house so that my landscaping would not be damaged. Then they tore off the old roof and installed new architectural shingles that the sales rep. had helped me select. (I also received shingle samples to help me with my selection.)The roofers worked hard and did a good job cleaning up the job site after they finished. The gutter replacement crew also did a great job with installation and clean up. And the company's office manager, Joan, did an excellent job of communicating schedules and answering my questions. I would recommend Craftsmen.

Work was not done but I appreciate the good customer service from office.

Work was performed as stated and on time. Very satisfied with the quality of the work. We had a couple minor glitches and when we discussed this with them, they always agreed to fix the issue at no additional cost. Their actions certainly supported that "the customer is always right".
