From start to finish Craftsmen Home Improvement provided excellent service. The sales representative Erik was honest and took care of all the insurance details behind the scenes to insure everything was covered. Kim kept us informed of our order as it progressed and she came out and made sure the color stain on the windows would match with what was not being replaced. She had a keen eye and wonderful attention detail and new exactly what colors to use. The installation team, lead by Tom, was careful, cleaned up after themselves, new what to do in every situation and went above and beyond. They even took care of some minor installation problems from a previous remodeling job that was not theirs. I would recommend them to anyone looking for windows or any other home service they offer.

Great job, Cleaned up yard exceptionally. Very happy with their work. Had to replace plywood and related work, appreciated their thoroughness. Extra cost was quite reasonable. Dealt with issues well. Very professional.

We had a great experience with Craftsmen. Everyone from the office staff to the workers were professional, attentive, and responsive. We had a few different contractors give estimates for the windows and siding, and chose Craftsmen because of reviews on Angie's list, we liked the products they recommended, and they were competitively priced. We were glad we chose Craftsmen. They stuck to the time lines, and were able to get the work done quickly. We realized about 2 weeks after the windows were installed that the bathroom window did not have the privacy glass we requested. They immediately replace the window. They even hung up the window boxes for us. It was easy to get in touch with them with any questions or concerns. I would not hesitate to use Craftsmen again.

Erik first came over and we decided to go with the Hardie Board : Below is what they did! Remove all siding, wrap house in Hardie housewrap, and install James Hardie HZ5 cedarmill siding with 7? reveal, pre-finished with 15 year warranty Hardie ?Color Plus? baked on finish in standard color, with 4" NT3 ?nailess? outside corners, 2" inside corners, ?Flashing by Design? capillary breaks where all walls meet roof decking, composite 6? ?skirt board? with flashing along all wall bases within 6? of grade (per code requirements), with all seams flashed according to Hardie installation specs, all caulked with premium 20 year (or better - depending on color) caulk in matching color. Siding to be touched-up after installation. Erick, Dan & Pat did a excellent job, always on time 7:00am till around 5:15pm. They did a wonderful job of cleaning up and making sure everything was done right. They were very courteous and the price for everything was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them for siding. + they took care of the dumpster and the building permit, so I didn't have to do anything.

This is the second time we have hired Craftsmen, and we will hire them again. The quality of work has been great and they have been very responsive to any questions and issues that have come up. We custom designed our windows with the help of the salesperson and the results are very nice. The crews have been very friendly and respectful of the fact that we have small children and a dog (i.e., keeping our fence gates and doors closed behind them, etc.).

After the storm chasers stopped knocking on my door, we met with Erik from Craftsmen based on a referral from a neighbor. Erik was professional and very clear as to what his services encompassed. Our damages did not require immediate, emergency work so we worked with them to coordinate all the services in a manner convenient for us and to accommodate the weather conditions. While this was going on, Erik also worked closely with our insurance company to get all the numbers to match. Once the work began, their office communicated very well in regards to length of time to complete each portion of the project and what to expect during the project. If we had any questions they were answered in a timely and thorough manner. The workers on site were courteous and respectful of our lives and property. There have been a couple questions since the project was completed over 18 months ago, and we continue to receive excellent service from them.

From start to finish it went extremely smoothly. The bid process was organized and well done, the scheduling and timing fit perfect, the installers were prompt, personable, capable and very tidy. Could not be more happy!

Besides doing professional, on-time work, Craftsmen goes the extra step. Two examples, while roofing a piece of the roof accidentally fell and put a scratch on a piece of decking, that was no longer being made. They research and had a piece sent from Maine to Minnesota to replace it. In replacing the patio door, they spent extra time matching the stain color on the inside so that there was a perfect match. I appreciate that dedication and professionalism.

The project went great! I received 3 bids because of the amount of work being done and I had the most confidence in Tim/Dan and they were the most responsive, so I awarded it to them. Our house was built in 1913 and had an addition in 1996, so it had a mix of new and old construction. This was a very complicated job due to the existing conditions and the amount/type of work being done (Hardie pre-finished siding, Hardie fascia with alum soffit, window and door trim with crown molding, and new doors on the house and garage). Tim and Dan did a great job communicating schedule along the way and answering all of my questions. They had 3 different crews do the work and they were all great to work with. I would highly recommend Craftsmen Home Improv to everyone!

All went very well. It took two days to complete and they were prompt both days. All questions were answered satisfactorily by everyone we dealt with and they worked well as a team. They also to insure we were happy with the job. We were.

Jim came out promptly to look at the house and provided much information regarding the company and workers at that visit. A contract proposal was received within days and covered everything we had talked about. We selected Craftsman Remodeling to do the job based on the interaction with Jim and the swift replies to questions and providing the contract. Craftsman was very easy to work with for scheduling the job. The crew arrived early in the morning and completed the job in a single day. The foreman was not on-site the entire time, but was available throughout the day. The team did a good job cleaning up at the end of the day - we have not found any lingering nails or other debris in the yard. The roof looks great!

I didn't end up using them because I went with a different type of work, but the person I spoke with, Jim Kosloski, was SO helpful and great. It really seemed like he went out of his way to help me understand more about the type of work they would do and what my options were.

We hired Craftsmen back in 2007 to install Hardy Board (cement fiberboard) on our home to replace the aged Masonite. The company did a great job and we gave the company an "A" rating on Angie's list for the job. We were impressed by the value and quality of the job and the customer focused service and updates throughout the process. This year we were starting to notice that some of the Hardy Board where the sun was facing was getting a bit faded from Navy blue to light blue. We thought we remembered a warranty of some sort from James Hardie, or the prepainter, or Craftsment but didn't remember the details. So we called Craftsmen again and the same friendly Dan that helped us back in 2007 set up an appointment for Hardie to take a look at our siding. Hardie found a few small areas where the board was aging prematurely and they issued us a small payment to cover the cost of residing the boards in question - less than $200. Craftsman followed up with us and stood behind the product they sold us and offered to paint the faded portions of our Hardy Board that was installed 8 years prior. What a kind blessing this was. Its great to see a company that we fondly recall working with 8 years ago backing up their work and rectifying any issues years later with the same high level of service. We are thankful that we used Craftsment for our Hardie Board installation years ago and will gladly call them again for upcoming home projects. Craftsmen Home Improvements tore off existing shingles, replaced roof decking where needed and installed new shingles Over all they did an excellent job. Everyone was professional all the way. Excellent communication and good clean up after the job was completed. I highly recommend them.

We had a great experience working with Craftsmen Home Improvements! From our initial consultation to preparing for the work to start to the work being done, everyone was very helpful and professional. During our initial meeting Jim impressed us with his knowledge of what was wrong with our defective shingles and how the new ones would be better quality and last longer. We also wanted some other items taken care of from a home energy audit report. They had no problem helping us with the list including: coordinating an electrician to replace 2 bath fans that weren't the correct type, fixing fan venting, and adding attic insulation & sealing. We were very impressed with how organized the whole process was and how clean they kept the yard during the job and when the job was complete. The work was done over a period of 5 days due to shorter Fall days and having the work fall over a weekend. We didn't mind, though, and were impressed that the team stayed until sunset each day to get it done as soon as they could. Our roof looks great and we're very happy with their work!

I had a fantastic experience with Craftsman. I've never had a contractor so thoroughly explain what they would do, the cost breakdown, everything. They were terrific at staying in touch throughout the scheduling process, came when they said they would, finished quickly. My neighbors on both sides commented on how careful they were throughout and how thorough the clean up was. Can't recommend them highly enough!

From start to finish, this company did a great job. Jim came out right on time and spent quite a bit of time explaining the insulation and roofing that he recommended for me. Scheduling went smoothly, about a week and a half after Jim came out, the insulation workers were there, right when I was told they would be. Originally they were going to do the insulation and roofing on the same day, but it rained very hard the first day, so they came back early the next morning to begin the roofing. Very friendly, hard working guys doing the work. They cleaned up everything really well, you could hardly tell there had been a major project going on in my yard by that evening!! I picked Craftsmen because they got excellent reviews on Angie's list, they really do live up to everything I read about them!!

My wife and I spent the fall and winter months reviewing bids for our siding project before pulling the trigger with Craftsmen Home Improvements. I personally met 5 different companies, discussed options, looked at before/after pictures, got pricing, etc. Overall I had the best experience with Erik from Craftsmen. Out of all the bids, they weren?t the cheapest, but they weren?t the most expensive either. It was pretty wild seeing the drastic range of bids?$20k to $47k. In the end, their pricing and warranty were the icing on the cake and we went with them. Once we (finally) decided on colors Dan called and explained the process: who would be where, when and what to expect over the next week. When the team was out to start the work he and a few others from the office had gone out of the country and had limited access to phone/email at the time. Naturally, I had a few questions here and there and emailed Dan. He always responded or called with an hour ? 2 at the max ? which is incredible considering he was out of the country. I never once had to track him down or email/call more than once. I always knew he?d get back to me. The team literally transformed our boring looking house to one of the best on the street. The curb appeal is so much better than before. Dan and Tim also helped coordinate extra rock accents by the garage doors and front porch. Overall I am very impressed and would recommend Craftsmen to anyone looking for new siding on their house. Huge thank you to Dan, Kim, Erik, Pat, Tim, and Beto!

Craftsmen has been amazing at each step. We had beautiful old windows that needed replacing with more efficient, modern widows, but without sacrificing what would look right for our home. The folks at craftsmen were able to guide us about what would look great, and they did a great job of walking us through where we would be able to save money without compromising the look we wanted, vs where we would be dissatisfied with a cheaper product and the money would be better spent on a higher quality piece. When it came time for installation, their team was the fastest, best organized, cleanest, most professional%2 crew I've ever had the pleasure of I working with. Not only did they do beautiful, high quality work, but they were a pleasure to have around. I can't recommend craftsmen highly enough if you are looking for high quality windows.

I was nervous about a project this large and so was searching for a company with high customer service ratings. Craftsman went above and beyond our expectations. Every person I dealt with from my first phone call to the final wrap up was so incredibly nice and knowledgable and helpful. We made a few additions to the project and they happily made it work. we changed our mind about something and they accommodated it no problem. They came back out to check a few things I had questions about after it was all finished. Who does that?!? Dan and his staff and crew are top notch and I'd recommend them in a heartbeat! I did comparison bids with 3 other companies and they all came in very close in number but I don't know that the others would have had the stellar customer service and workmanship.

The shingle roof on our one story house slops down in the back and attaches to a flat membrane roof that covers a large expansion. Around the edge of the expansion there is a four foot slopping shingle roof that comes down, covers the soffit and ends in a copper gutter. On top of this flat roof is perched a 9 x 15 skylight. After buying this house in September 2000, the owner/remodeler gave my wife and me the house keys and mumbled something like "I could not quite figure out what to do about the ice problem." Obviously, after every snowfall it is only a couple of hours and the snow on the skylight melts and looks for somewhere to freeze. After 14 years, 250 feet of heated cable, and many hours on the roof, the roof started leaking between the original house and the membrane roof. So, a year ago I picked out what I thought were the three highest ranked roofers I could find on Angie's List. I gave roofers the same criteria. While my wife insisted the skylight was not negotiable, everything else was. Jim from Craftsmen came out to the house. I told Jim what I had told the others. I had considered a metal roof and also taking off the gutters. I said that I did not want to invest more money in this project than was necessary, but I wanted to be able to leave for periods during the winter and never worry about water in the house. I remember asking Jim "What would you do if this were your house and you were 73 years old?" Jim's solution was innovative. He took off the gutters around the flat roof and replaced the 4 feet of shingles above with steel roofing. And he treated the 15 year old membrane roof with a silicone treatment (GacoRoof) that has a 50 year warranty. Plus, he moved the junction between the treated membrane and the new asphalt roof higher, so that melted water would not sit on a seam. He suggested a line of shingles that was algae resistant (that had been a problem). Jim installed the steel roofing himself. The cost of this roof was essentially the same as the other quotes we had received. The project was completed while we were out of town. When we returned we sent Craftsman the balance due. A week or so later, I was in the yard looking at the copper gutters that were now stacked up in the back. It occurred to me that instead of trying to find someone who wanted to buy them as is, I should just cut them up and sell them to a scrap metal yard. As if on cue, Jim happened to drive up as a follow up call to see if we liked the finished roof. I said we liked the roof but I was now concerned about what to do with the gutters. I was thinking of renting a reciprocating saw. Jim went out to his truck, got his saw, and in less than an hour short gutter sections were in a neat stack. I knew there would be some problems created by taking off the gutters. I will probably put up a gutter section above the back door and another section over the garbage and recycle bins. We are very happy with this roof.

It went wonderful, I would recommend them in a heart beat. They did $72,000 worth of work for us and everything about the job they did was a joy for me and my family. Can't say enough about this amazing company.

Absolutely the best company I have ever worked with.We helped my elderly mother update her older home and she is the most happiest 87 year old there ever could be! From the start to the finish everyone was the best that I've ever worked with.If you're thinking of doing any updating on your home please call this company you will not be sorry!!

In 2003 all work was satisfactory and done on time. The salesman and the manager followed up with calls to make sure we were satisfied. Later, when a window seal failed the warranty work was done quickly and without cost. We are completely satisfied and will recommend this company to anyone needing work on their house. I especially complement Dan Bidlin for his professionalism and friendly service.
