Our experience with Craftsmen Home Improvements, Inc (CHI) was wonderful. This was the largest home improvement project my wife and I have ever done. We spent considerable time researching and vetting multiple companies in advance of making a decision to move forward with one. Our project consisted of multiple components including new siding (James Hardie), four replacement windows (Marvin), new fascia, soffits, gutters and window trim. Every step of the way from the initial consultation through the project completion we felt like a valued customer. Any concerns or questions we had were immediately addressed leaving us at ease. CHI?s pricing and quote was competitive and fair. The onsite crews including the foreman?s were extremely professional and polite. They did a great job minimizing any impact we or our neighbors experienced during the actual work. The CHI crew also did a fantastic job cleaning up the job site at the end of each day. Our house looks brand new and we?ve received many compliments from family, friends and neighbors. We couldn?t be happier or more pleased with our decision to utilize CHI for our home improvement project. We would recommend CHI to anyone looking to do a new siding, windows, trim or gutters project.

Called and got our bid from Jim, the owner. He called me personally and discussed the details of the project to make sure we were on the same page with specifics. From there. we also were in contact with Maria who scheduled the roofing, and kept in contact about shingle color, drip edge, etc. Everything was very professional and organized. I got several bids for this project and they were the least expensive, also providing a 10% Angies List discount. The crew on site was very nice, courteous and professional. They worked fast and the job looks great! Would definitely use Craftsmen again, am already planning on it for our addition and gazebo area. Would highly recommend them to anyone! Thanks.

Except for some miscommunication about the fact that the roof needed all new decking – that Jim put right – I am very satisfied with the quality of the roofing and the gutters and screens. The teams cleaned up after themselves, and my backyard was left in very good shape. I highly recommend Craftsmen.

We bid this out to multiple companies in later 2015 and Craftsman was very responsive to our bid and follow-up questions. We actually were debating how many windows we would do, and they were very good about itemizing out the project so we could decide how how much it would cost to do different parts of the project. We put the project on hold until 2016, but when we decided to do it, Craftsman was the most responsive. Their price was very competitive, and we decided to go with them because of this and their high Angie's List rating. We felt comfortable that they would provide good service. We schedule the project in late March and it took 2 weeks to complete. One week to install, and one week to do the clean up and the other items like trim. We were pleased with the service and their response. They were on time with the clean up and fixing some of the dings that happen when windows were installed. We would use them again.

It is too bad because I realized that I also needed an estimate to insulate my home. The providers that did respond were happy to give me an additional estimate. It would have been nice to get a response even if they were not able to help immediately.

Service and craftsmanship? Incredible as usual. We initially had these guys replace a leaky patio door. We then utilized them again, a few years later, to replace a dining room french door and most of our 1st floor windows. Last summer we sustained some major hail damage and completed the repairs and replacements as noted above. These folks are like family. They really do care. They can rip out a "wall" of windows in December and replace them without a single stain on our (dumb decision) white carpeting!! They custom stain the woodwork with nary a nail hole unfilled. They returned yesterday to touch up the exterior paint for the windows which they obviously couldn't do in the middle of winter. Their estimator, Eric, worked with our insurance agent after the later basically said "too bad for your damage." We did end up with some insurance coverage. Oh and did I mention, that Tom, one of their main dudes, fixed our squeaky front door, kitchen patio door and hauled away some old screens from the original doors. No charge:)

They go out their way to make different customer needs. From the workers, scheduler, to estimator, very professional and pleasant to work with.

The service was excellent. They are focused on quality and service. They always kept checking on my to make sure everything was going well.

They ordered the windows we wanted and once they got them they stained them and got them ready for installation. Once the new windows were in they went about setting up a time when the crew could come out and take down our exisiting siding, fix any problem area's they ran across and install the new new siding. This part took about 7 days from start to finish. There were of course some issues as with any project but this company and it's employees made sure everything went as smoothly as possible. They responded to problems very quickly and got things taken care of very fast. They were great to work with. They should have a consulting business showing other companies how things get done, and how to treat customers.. I would not hesitate to hire them for other work.

Craftsmen did a tear-off and re-roof, plus new trim and fascia due to hail damage. Jim Kosloski was the Rep who came out to give us an estimate. He was excellent in his knowledge and helpfulness. I originally had another company in mind to do the work, but was so impressed with Jim that I chose Craftsmen for the job. He worked with the insurance company to have all costs covered. The Customer Service was superior in all ways. Jim was always available for questions. We were kept advised of the scheduling and always knew what to expect. The work crew was professional and really worked well together. There were 2 Foremen on-site. I spoke with Matt a few times during the day and he gladly answered my questions and kept me informed. We had some rotting wood on the door frame around our garage service door and they replaced that at no charge. Cleanup was phenomenal - they even canvassed our neighbors' yards to pick up any stray debris. We also had a bath fan installed and the electrician that they used, Troy from Live Wire Electrical, did a wonderful job and included a few extras to ensure that the job looked aesthetically pleasing. This company is top notch. They just took care of everything so there was no stress involved. I highly recommend Craftsmen. Again, their work and customer service is superior.

They delivered and installed what they promised.

The rain cover let water flow over gutter. I called Jim about this problem in the front roof valley. He came out and fixed it! He installed a newer style gutter cover, no charge, no excuses. As a retired master electrician, I've worked with a lot of construction contractors. These are the folks you want to work with.

Dan and his company were excellent! From our first contact with Eric everything was explained in detail. We experienced no surprises upon completion of the four parts of the work. This company went out of their way to make sure we were informed and satisfied. They did extra work along the way such as installing a door lock, just to be helpful, and replacing gutter guards. They came out to our home with siding samples several times to help us pick out our siding. They sent us paint samples, as well, to assist us in matching colors of siding. They were patient as we struggled with making choices for siding colors, shingle colors and window colors. They also worked with us on the pricing. Craftsmen may not have been the cheapest option but we could not be more satisfied.

The work was done to fix hail damage to the sides of the house and the roof. Erik came out after we had already met with an insurance adjuster who only wanted to cover part of our house and did a more in-depth look at the whole house with a more experience adjuster. After meeting with the more experience adjust there was more damage than initially expected. We however had to fill a second claim to get the whole house replaced. Erik worked with us and our insurance company through the whole project wonderfully. There was lots of adds and adjustments which caused headaches on the payment side from our insurance - but over really smooth. When it came to work the Roofers were awesome, in and our within less than 3 days. Clean up was great - there was hardly any nails found - I think the only place they missed was the down spouts - but otherwise they were meticulous. The siding happened on a later date in December when it first started to snow. This took about a week and they did an awesome job too. However due to some of the snow/melt of early December 2015 once they were done we found a number of nails about. We called the company and someone came and looked around and did some clean up which was appreciated. When things weren't going right or when we had some need to move up our schedule the company worked with us and if our contact Erk wasn't available I believe we'd get call from the owner. They get stuff done and make sure you get what you need. We had a few other companies come out to do a comparison. I think their pricing landed right around everyone else's - but i's hard to say due to all the add after the initial assessment. While walking through the house Erik gave straight forward feedback on how we could DIY on some windows projects too.

Our 1949 house was in need of some updating. The old original Anderson windows were probably good for their day, but they were worn out. The redwood siding had been painted numerous times and was peeling and due for a repaint. Paint was actually hanging off in strips from the soffits. After talking with the guys at Craftsmen Home Improvements, we decide to go with Lindsay windows and James Hardie siding with aluminum soffit and fascia. I was amazed how fast everything came together. The window guys were there for about two and a half days, followed up by two and a half days for siding. There were a couple of minor issues mostly relating to me changing my mind or not communicating as well as I could have, and the installers were very gracious and accommodating. Tom and Jim and the window crew were amazing to work with, their attention to detail was meticulous plus they're just really nice guys. Pat and the siding crew are total pros. It is clear they know what they are doing and it shows in the finished product. Once again, the attention to detail was superb. I'm a do-it-yourselfer, and am pretty fussy. In fact, I'm usually hesitant to hire contractors because of negative past experiences. But in this case, I'm happy to say I couldn't have come close to the quality they provided doing it myself. Once they left, you would hardly know anyone had been there. They did an excellent job on clean-up. In the course of two weeks our old run-down house looked brand new! We love it and would happily recommend CHI to anyone.

Craftsmen Home Improvements was wonderful to work with from the start. After learning about them on Angie's List, we met with a sales representative who was a great listener, very responsive, and gave us honest answers about both our home and product options. Their quote was slightly lower than two other vendors we met with, and significantly lower from quotes we had received from a couple of larger Twin Cities companies a year earlier. The work was completed on schedule, and the crew was both friendly and professional. They were exceptionally considerate, and kept the job site clean. Their workmanship was excellent, and everything was installed to meet or exceed manufacturer standards. We were charged exactly what was quoted - no surprises. All of our questions were answered promptly, and the work was completed right on schedule. Upon completion, they left everything very clean. We would definitely use them again, and feel comfortable recommending them to our friends and neighbors.

This is our second experience with Craftsmen and they continue to provide consistent, expert, high quality service and products. We had our windows on the backside of the home replaced this fall. Their workmanship is outstanding, the windows, stain, functionality all exceed our expectations. The team on site works together exceptionally well, they exhibit a work ethic that is a great find in contractors. I was amazed at how well, the team cleaned up each day, to ensure your home was usable during construction time. Their work is awesome. They came out to match stain, and verified the match, by coming out more then once, to ensure the color matched with our needs and home, bringing samples. Communication is by phone, email, excellent. Eric, who manages the project, is meticulous, ethical, works well with insurance company. We appreciated the company helping us follow through with the insurance company, before and after the job was completed. According to code, we were required to have an inspection by the city, and the inspector spoke highly of craftsmen We would recommend them, and if needed, hire them again.

Really easy folks to work with from beginning to end!

Erik came out and said he didn't think it was the siding, but he would help us troubleshoot the problem. He used his infrared gun to look for cold spots to help find the leak. He gave numerous ideas of what the issue could be. He didn't charge us for all the help and gave us great suggestions on where to go next. In the future when we do need to replace our siding we will be using Craftsmen Home Improvements Inc. because Erik went above and beyond when he knew we weren't going to need to buy siding from him.

I knew of the Company from Angie,s List. I also had a personal recommendation from a friend who had done business with them. Once I contacted them, the salesman responded immediately and set up an appointment to come to the house and provide a quote. He was prompt, knowledgeable and efficient. His price was very reasonable based on other quotes I had obtained. I gave him the approval to proceed, and he immediately place an order for the windows. Within a reasonable time, the widows were delivered and a schedule was set up for installation. The installation crew showed up on schedule and proceeded in a proficient and professional manner. Installation was basically completed in three days. During this initial installation, it was discovered that the bay window was the wrong size. Their was also a problem with the trim on one window, and the hardware had a film on it from the bubble wrap used by the factory. I did not figure that these were unusual problems for a job of this type. Within a timely period, everything was corrected. I feel We received a very high quality product for a reasonable price. Throughout the whole process, everyone we dealt with at the company treated us and our home with great respect. I woud highly recommend Craftsmen Home Improvements.

We couldn't be more pleased with Craftsmen Home Improvements! From our initial contact, through the decision making process and installation, everyone we dealt with did an excellent job and was very professional. Communication with the office staff was great and the roofing crew did an amazingly efficient and quality job - the clean up was perfect too! We could tell we and our roof were more than just another "job".

The work was done in 2002. Everyone I dealt with was very professional, work was done in a timely manner, and I was very happy with the quality of the siding and windows. I recently contacted Craftsmen for a window frame that my lawn boy hit with the mower and it was bent up and loose. I was very happy to be able to contact the original company 18 years later to find they were still in business and promptly came to my home and repaired the window. That's loyalty! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone and not hesitate to use them again.

From Erik the Salesman to the office schedulers and the whole entire window/door crew did an OUTSTANDING job!!!!!! They were one of the most professional groups of people that I have ever hired. Each time they came to the house they were courteous, on time, and left no trace of any garbage. They let me watch and explained to me what they were doing anytime I had a question. This was a big deal for my wife and I with getting new windows. They explained the whole process and followed through from beginning to end as we talked about. I highly recommend Craftsmen Home Improvements, Inc!!

We worked with all of the different crews at CHI, and everyone was great. The estimates were accurate, communication was good, the construction process was smooth, and the final product looks amazing.

They did a great job! Were at my house to replace the roof at 7:00 and were done at 3:30. Very professional, I've already recommended them to somebody else.
