I want to say thank you to Craftsmen Home Improvement for an excellent project. The entire team from Sales (Erik Daehlin), Customer Service (Kim Burdine) to our window crew of Jim Knauf, Tom Burdine, Steve, Tyler and Jake were stellar. The entire team is professional, excellent communicators. They did the job on time in budget to our expectations. They all went beyond expectations to ensure that the project was successful in addition, while here they consulted with us on other window issues and provided expertise in trying to resolve the issue while they were here and provided recommendations when that proved not possible. Despite an 85+ degree day and an old three story house they worked tirelessly to install 10 windows in a single day. I was impressed with their stamina and focus to complete this. They all were polite, clean and cleaned up behind themselves as they worked in multiple rooms on three floors. Thank you all,

Our initial interactions with the company were very nice and not high pressure. After meeting with a few companies about having our windows replaced we decided to go with Craftsmen Home Improvements. They seemed to be less married to a particular product and more about providing what we wanted in our budget. They followed up diligently and were accommodating to our choices , even when it sometimes changed from day to day. The staff that we had come out to the house for installation were professional and courteous. Really you couldn’t ask for a better group of folks. They were efficient and did the work very well. I saw them checking that all the windows were working and walked us through how clean and operate them ( we had some casements and large double hung windows installed). The staff also advised us of all the items we should be aware of for the city inspection (which needs to be performed afterwards at our expense, but they were very upfront about that). We also had them install and stain the trim for us. At the end of it all we have great new windows and we’re excited to see what improvements they bring to our home, especially in the winter months. There were some details I would have liked covered that were not. First off we had a large window replaced and the replacement was smaller than the original. They did a great job on the replacement and the surrounding trim but the trim does not cover what the original trim covered, so we now need to do some mudding, sanding, and painting to get our living room back to presentable. On the same note the trim that was installed around our upstairs windows was very well done (excluding the above mentioned) including filling of nail holes. In our downstairs windows though the holes were not filled. It’s a small thing but still points to a bit of inconsistency. After contacting them they said they would send someone out in the next week to take care of this. After the installation we found that one of the screens was ripped a bit. Speaking to one of the installers earlier this didn’t sound too uncommon and so I expect it will be replaced. This is our first go at having windows replaced and so maybe this is common but once installed there was still a good amount of window cleaning we had to do. The windows had smudges inside and outside as well as sticky residue from the window stickers. All in all this really was a good experience and I would certainly look to this company again. I think there are a few items that we will work out and I would recommend Craftsmen for your window installations.

The crew was excellent, very conscientious and the quality of the work was exceptional. We felt the price was very reasonable as well. We will definitely have them back if we need other projects done in the future!

We had a great experience with Craftsman, and would highly recommend them. From the very first time they stopped to look at our house and give an estimate, they were prompt, extremely helpful, and not pushy at all. I felt like they provided thorough and honest information about options and recommendations. When it came time to do the work, they showed up when they said they would and the finished product is great. Our neighbors (who are retired, so are home during the day) said the crew was polite, efficient, and seemed very thorough - now our neighbors are thinking of hiring them! The BEST part about working with Craftsman is how great they were at communicating with us (big shout-out to Joni)! This was the best level of communication I have ever had with any home service provider. They were really friendly and kept us updated about exactly what they needed from us and when, what we should expect, timing and status of the project, etc. We had a few small follow-up items, and they made sure they were taken care of promptly. I really appreciate how much work they must put into not only their services, but also taking care of their customers.

The results: I have a whole new room! Craftsmen gave me a solid quote, amended it to accommodate final window selection, did the work on time with as little disruption to my home-life a possible (it was a construction project.) Results are more than I expected, the quote matched the final price, and the workmanship was outstanding. I highly recommend Craftsman Home Improvement.

We own a 1920’s 4-plex with 50 double-hung windows and 2 old entry doors. Our goal was to replace the windows and doors with a similar style with high durability, low maintenance and an overall high quality installation. I met with Erik at the property and the process was well explained. In hindsight, he was 100% accurate on their high quality install team. Erik later met me at a coffee shop so that I could see a sample window(Richlin by Hayfield) and discuss further details of the project. It was interesting to me that there was no showroom but it made sense later. I was also looking at another window company/installer which had a showroom and the marketing from the window company was more appealing than Hayfield. Again, I learned there was reason for the old marketing in talking with Hayfield and felt confident after speaking with them. Both Erik and Hayfield appreciated the feedback. In the end, the assured Product quality, plus the lifetime Product and Labor warranty promised by CHI/Hayfield, plus the Angies list and other highly rated reviews were what made our decision easy. Thank you Erik for accurately communicating the CHI process and working with us on our questions and challenges. It has become common practice for us to be on site when contractors are working on our building. In the end, we are responsible for the building so it is helpful to know what is done and be involved in the decision making process during execution. The installation team(Jim, Tom, Steve, Tyler and Jake) were ALL exceptional in their workmanship and communications. This old building needed a lot of nurturing and we feel the team treated it like their own. I was onsite for 8 of the 10 days and was consistently assured of their high level of craftsmanship. The building also needed other work which CHI was very happy to assist with for no additional charge. We are thankful for their willingness to help with every request or question. They really do their best to provide exceptional service and workmanship with high character. Thank you team! During the install I had the pleasure to speak with Kim on items such as getting contract referrals for other work needed to support the new windows/doors. Thanks Kim for attending to my questions with understanding and quick resolve. In summary we feel every person we connected with at CHI exceeded our expectations. We feel the Products and craftsmanship were of high quality done by people that care. We are confident that we would call on CHI for future projects.

We are very happy with the installation of our lower level windows, the crew was great to work with - on time, pleasant, polite and asking questions/conferring with us to make sure work was done according to our expectations. When retrofitting a broken sash on the upper level, Jim was great spending time to make sure it closed properly and worked well which can be challenging with an older window, but one can tell he is an expert at what he does. The whole crew worked diligently, cleaned up well and were a joy to have in the house - I even heard them whistling from time to time and break into song which brought a smile to my face - whistling/singing means people are happy and happy people do good things :-)) We would not hesitate to recommend them and as we replace windows around the house - we would definitely use them again.

Our recent Hardie Board siding project with Craftsman Home Improvement was outstanding. We were impressed with the quality of the work, the attention to detail and the responsiveness when we had questions. The crew was friendly, worked efficiently and was very professional. We have been kept informed as the process progressed and time lines have been well adhered to. All the installers were polite & pleasant. I was very pleased with Craftsmen from the first step. My project was new windows for my smaller home - they explained the process, listened to what my goals were and showed me what my options were. I never felt pressured at any point. They kept me posted as to the timeline and at the end of each day, gave me an update as to where the project was. I am very happy and would strongly recommend Craftsmen to anyone looking to have work done.

We were generally pleased with the job that Craftsmen Home Improvements did on our home roofing and installing gutters. The Initial meeting was very pleasant and informative and we felt confident we were making the right decision. Communication throughout the process was mostly seamless. Our project was delayed a few times by weather and we were contacted to give us updates as to when it would start. The one communication issue we did have was that we paid to have a certain type of gutter cover placed, and this did not get communicated to the subcontractors who were installing the gutters, resulting in an unsatisfactory result. We have been assured by Craftsment Home Improvements that this will be corrected in the spring . The clean up was amazingly thorough throughout the yard. The roof looks great.

We love the Craftsmen team. Jim is delightful to do business with and did a great job providing recommendations and looking for design solutions for our windows and doors. The crew that installed our windows and doors did an excellent job, and was very professional, and I was impressed with how many people were present to ensure a good installation. Would definitely use this team again!

I am so happy we chose Craftsmen Home Improvements to do the storm damage repairs on our home in Blaine. They and their subcontractors did quality work, making sure the job was done right. Their subcontractors were also great companies. I really appreciated Joni Pnewski who communicated with us regarding timing of crews coming and was very responsive with any glitches that came up. Jim Kosloski went over and above making sure we had right replacement parts, installing doors and other connecting parts to the project. They and the whole company were wonderful to work with. If you are looking for a company with integrity, one you can trust to do the job well and right, who will communicate with you, has quality roofing, siding window, gutter crews and sub contractors, great people working for them, look no further - CHI is all of that and your project will be in good hands!!

The work was done on time with the schedule moving a little because of the full amount of work that was done by Craftsmen Home Improvements on my house and their previously full schedule. All of the work looks very good but final city inspection is delayed until Spring due to snow.

My wife and I are delighted with the results of Craftsmen's work. The roof, siding, windows and exterior door made a huge difference in our houses curb appeal! The different teams all worked as efficiently as possible and were quick to answer any questions we had during the process. We felt like we were well taken care of through the whole process from estimates and planning through finalizing the work. Everyone was accommodating to our tight schedule and helping navigate some of the nuanced insurance claim issues. Overall we are very satisfied with the job done.

Craftsmen Home Improvement, Inc is a very professional, conscientious company. A-plus in every aspect, from office help, to crew management, to roofing and siding crews. I never needed to worry that the job would be done with expertise, as Erik and Nic were on top of everything. Any questions I had were answered quickly, and every member of the teams worked diligently to make sure that I was satisfied. I highly recommend them. It was nice to have one company that could do all the work. All members of their teams were extremely polite, careful of property, and willing to fix any issues that needed more attention.

I put my house up for sale and then the hail storm came. Our entire neighborhood needed new roofs. Friends of mine recommended Craftsmen. I was immediately impressed with the customer service on the phone. Then the crew came. Again- very impressed by the personable and professional team. I felt like I was getting preferential treatment but I began to realize this was standard procedure for this team. The lifetime transferable warrantee from a company that has been around for 20+ years helped me make the decision to sign but the service made me want to refer. Sadly- it is rare for companies like this to invest so much in customer service, but so refreshing when you find it! Please support this company!

The crew was very professional and well organized. They cleaned up nicely after each day. This is a 90 year old house so there were some surprises but nothing they couldn't handle. The windows (Anderson) are wonderful and the new casements are a big improvement. I couldn't be happier.

Extremely well. The project took longer than it should have because of my misdirection and their very small administrative goof-ups, but they made good on every aspect of the contract, responded quickly to questions and comments, and did a first-rate job all around. I give them an A+ and would hire them again without question. Except that I hope I don't need a new roof in the near future!

The roof was done in a day and the crew did a great job of cleaning up everything including a very thorough sweep with magnets to remove any nails. The gutter went up a few weeks later and they are great. They even worked with us to move up the installation of the roof when an earlier opening came available.
