Replacing the windows went very well. The crew worked very efficiently and every day they cleaned up the job site. There was an error in the trim color on three windows, and their immediate response was: we will fix that, and they did. I especially liked that they put all the blinds back up, so I did not have to! We are very happy with the quality and the look of the windows.

My installation experience with Craftsman went extremely well. The crew came right on time as promised. They worked quickly and efficiently for three days. The head of the crew said they could have finished in two days but he doesn't like to rush at the end because that's when people take shortcuts and don't do as good a job cleaning up. Unusually conscientious approach. The products seem exactly as described. All of the details we'd discussed were included, like colors, finishes, and using primed wood trim pieces that can be painted once the weather is warmer. The crew cleaned up each day and did a thorough cleanup at the end. Haven't had much chance to use the windows yet, but they open and close and look good inside and out. These were old window openings so lines weren't all straight and squared perfectly at first, but they did a good job of creating clean lines and squared corners. The custom curve on one window in front looks very attractive inside and out and this feature took skillful measuring and installation. The company was more than reasonable about the final payment. It turned out the install happened just before I left town for a month and I asked if I could postpone the final payment until I had a chance to really check things out more thoroughly. They were very understanding and flexible and I really appreciated that. They also sent a note saying that they stand behind their work and to let them know if there are any issues that come up later. The only reason I gave the company a B was that the contract was signed Oct. 1 and the install date came up very suddenly in January. My previous experience with windows and doors was that the job was performed within not more than 6 to 8 weeks after the contract was signed. We didn't really talk about the timing prior to signing the contract and in hindsight maybe I should have asked. Once the contract was signed I was told the approximate install date would be mid. December. That was disappointing. But the products didn't come until January--even worse. This may have been the fault of the supplier, but any delay should be discussed with customers as early as possible and approximate revised install dates should be negotiated at that time. When this didn't happen as expected, it made me think the company might be unreliable and I began to mistrust my judgment in signing with them. As it turned out they did high-quality work and my worries proved unfounded. I would definitely hire them again, but ask more questions about timing next time.

In beginning of June, we paid our deposit and then found out that the plan was to install siding in September. We asked if there was a possibility to move that timing up and they were able to squeeze us in mid-July. Was super excited but then received an email about a week before we thought the siding project would start asking if we wanted the outer corners to match the color we had selected and if so, there was an upcharge and that "non-stock colors" were running about 45 days to order so they would need to push back the date by 45 days. This was never discussed during the sales process. I expressed my concern and Joni was able to locate the outer corners and adjust the schedule to start in end of July and agreed to cover the "upcharge" since this was something new to her as well. Then, she told us that we need to pick soffit/fascia colors, but that anything other than white would require a week or two delay. But then she called back and said she was able to pull some strings and find the color we had requested. So, lots and back and forth about dates. We also had a mason scheduled to come after the siding install so we had to communicate all these changes with him. it was a bit frustrating with all the date changes. Seems like things that CHI should already be aware of and should know to prep the customers upfront and let them know the dependencies on starting the project. When the job started, the team all showed up on time every day. They did a really nice job on the siding and soffits/fascia. That is why I gave them an “A” for quality, but was disappointed with the following: 1.) Poor communication from the start to the end of the actual work. Pat saw some rotting wood while doing the work and replaced it. He never mentioned the cost or asked about it before proceeding forward with the work. While we appreciate his proactiveness, I feel like he should have asked us (if he was going to charge us for it) before doing the work. In any event, he told us about it after the fact and I just saw a line item on our invoice for the work. He also barely communicated with us while he was here. Didn't know when the dumpster was getting removed or what to do with the material left. 2.) We have found numerous screws, nails and sharp metallic options around our house. No one even mentioned that we should be careful moving around outside. This is especially bothersome as we have little kids running around. 3.) Everything was collected on the final day, BUT the porta potty. There was no communication around when it would be picked up either. To be fair, the job was complete on Friday morning and it was picked up by Monday afternoon, but it would have been nice for someone to let us know the plan since it was sitting in our driveway. My biggest complaint with this company is their lack of communication. This is a lot of money to be spending and the project management is less than desirable.

We had 5 new windows installed in our porch. The installers were extremely professional and worked very quickly and efficiently and were done by noon. They were also cleaned up the work area completely. This is the second time they have installed windows for us and both times we have been greatly impressed.

The guy’s where GREAT the window install was on time, looks great, everything matches. The areas where cleaner after the install than before they started. All trash was taken away. We will be using them again on the next project. The only issues we had was with the rain. Mark and Patty Terry

We are very happy with our new siding, roof, and windows. All their crews did excellent work. You can always tell when people care about their work and make a good team. They left our site clean and our house exterior looking like new! They did excellent work and answered all of our questions, however silly, and fulfilled our special requests due to other things being done at the same time. Communication with the crews and everyone else (Erik in sales and project managers Joni and Kim) was stellar and they were very flexible to meet our needs and schedule.

We had a very pleasant experience hiring Craftsmen Home Improvements to replace our roof. They had a good bid (not the cheapest, but not the most expensive) and were able to work us into their schedule without issue. The briefing we received at our initial meeting on the process was very informative and beneficial. Very good communication during the entire process. The crew that did our roof was on time every day, and put in some really long days to keep on schedule. They were all polite, and cleaned up after themselves every day. Our roof had many angles and they were able to protect the shrubbery and house/windows as they worked around the various areas. We were very happy with their work and would recommend them.

I requested 3 estimates.Jim Kosloski came out to our home and did an excellent presentation (the best of all 3 companies). We anticipated a possible issue with the city inspector, and Jim was kind enough to call the inspector and then leave me his voicemail message that we could proceed with no problem. Jim also brought out his ladder to obtain the serial # from one of the skylights that we needed a new flashing kit for. He was very accommodating. The bad news - his estimate was between $2700 - $3200 more than the two competing companies (apples to apples). I made him aware of that and he seemed surprised that there was a significant difference. He indicated that he'd review his estimate (that he's made mistakes before) and get back to me "within the hour" to see what could be done. I never heard from him. I was surprised he didn't send a nice email response thanking me for allowing his company to bid, but indicating that a price adjustment was not possible.

We choose to work with Craftsman Home Improvements for replacement windows. I was impressed with how organized they were, keeping us informed along the way. They were flexible with our schedule as well, allowing us to defer the project start while still taking advantage of the discounted window pricing by ordering early. The windows look great and installation process was done efficiently. They kept the areas clean each day and were courteous and friendly.

We felt listened to from the first sales call (Erik) to the install. We are very pleased with our new windows. Tom, Jim and Co. were efficient, thorough, and helpful. They left our house clean both days. They explained what we needed to know, answered our questions, and paid close attention to the details of our install. A solid team.

Poor experience in setting up contract. Insisted on using their contract that neglected: Start and Completion Dates Completion Date Penalties Arbitration of Disputes Proof of Insurance on Subcontractors. Gave me the impression that I would have to verify their subcontractors insurance. These are strongly recommended items by Angie's List. Owner did not want them on contract. Claims many satisfied customers, but when requested to provide 3 long term installations, only provided two. One was on half of a duplex. Ended conversation and went with a more responsive / flexible contractor.

I'm very pleased with the work done by Tom, Jim, Tyler and Jake. They know what they're doing and are very precise. They are also friendly and polite. They cleaned up the area each day before they left, and did a very nice final clean up on the last day. I find it helpful to make a list of anything I have questions about or things I want to make sure were done. Tom was fine with that and answered all my questions. He also showed me how to remove the windows for cleaning and gave me tips for the best way to crank the windows and to remove the screens. All four men work together well - you can tell they like each other and their jobs. It was a pleasant experience. The windows were expensive, but I think they are worth it for quality. Most importantly, Craftsmen will come out and remedy anything that might go wrong with he windows. Both the salesman and the craftsmen who did the work said so, and I believe them.

Pat, Beto and their incredible crew turned our whole home around in less than seven days, always taking time to explain any issues and opportunities that came up along the way. They were courteous, driven, punctual and extremely flexible. We couldn’t be happier with the results. Our home no longer suffers from peeling paint, and now has an updated and clean look. And, most importantly, our daughters won’t have to wake to the sound of woodpeckers ever again.

The guys did a great job installing my windows. They were conscientiousness , courteous, and easy to communicate with. I appreciated their obvious expertise.

Tom, Jim and the crew were very personable and easy to work with. The windows are great and even the neighbors have commented on them positively. They were very knowledgeable and we appreciate the great job they did. Their work was outstanding. The extras they did for us were above and beyond the call of duty.

We are very happy to have had Craftsmen Home Improvements (CHI) work on our roof and attic. We had them replace our roof a couple of years ago and had CHI back to complete soffit and fascia work to perfect the airflow in our attic. They are very thorough and attentive to insure the work is done right and that we are happy with how the job went. It is great to work with a company and personnel that takes the time to show they care.

We had the walls in our sunroom insulated as well as the windows replaced. The windows look great and work well. The only thing is that there was quite a bit of insulation left on our grass after the project was finished.

We were very pleased with our window project done by Craftsman Home improvements. Erik walked us through the different window vendors and the pros and cons of each. He also explained how the new windows would be fitted into place. The install crew of Tom, Jim and Tyler were very meticulous in the work that they did. We were impressed with the communication they provided and the time they took to explain the process and ensure we were happy with the result. They did a great job of cleaning up the work areas each day and keep the disruption in our home to a minimum. We had custom window sills in our home and the crew did a wonderful job of being able to reuse them and replace when appropriate. The final look, inside and out, is superb.

We were pleased with the work that Pat and his crew did re-siding our house. They were prompt, worked industriously all day, wasted no time, were polite and cleaned up after themselves. Plus, they completed the job in just seven days.

We had all of our windows replaced and couldn’t be happier with the results. The windows look amazing and Tom and the crew were great. Very professional and courteous, did a fantastic job cleaning up when they were done, and were even very tolerant of our dogs during the project. Kim was great at keeping us updated by email as to the schedule. Everyone was very friendly and easy to work with. We would definitely recommend them to others.

The entire process was great. Erik answered all of our many questions before signing, the contract, Joni managed the process well and Pat, Beto and the crew were amazing while on site. Our house is beautiful and we have already received many compliments as the work was being done and within hours of it being finished.

I was referred by a family member to Craftsmen who said nothing but good things. The roof was done in November so the job took about a week. They made sure to let me know this. They are very friendly and easy to work with. I don't know much about roofs but it looks great!

Great customer service from beginning to end. No pressure sales with great information and knowledgeable answers to all our questions. Roofing was done quickly and cleanly. Still haven't found a single nail, which is great because we have a young child that likes to run around barefoot. Dumpster was removed quickly. Price was not the cheapest we were quoted, though it was close. I'm glad we went with craftsman after everything.

Amazing experience! Craftsmen was very informative when reviewing my property for quoting and helping to select the best product for my needs. Their project managers kept me in the loop on the schedule and on any potential changes. Install took the exact amount of time stated and they cleaned up well after work was completed. Couldn't be happier with the final install of my windows.

Our experience with Craftsmen Home Improvements is absolutely five stars. We had to take a non-traditional path to getting our siding replaced. Craftsmen staff were so gracious with us and excellent at communicating throughout the process. The team that completed the siding work did exceptional work. It felt like they had all the time in the world to focus on our project. Their work was meticulous and unhurried with clear attention to detail and true craftsmanship. We also appreciated their willingness to answer our questions when they came up and to ask questions of us to make sure the work was being done as expected. We cannot recommend them highly enough!
