Dan, and his salesman, Eric, was one of four vendors who provided a bid for the job. He provided other locations where we could see the siding on a house like ours. He worked with us through the decision process, never pressuring. When the time came for installation, the install team was exceptionally conscientious, always cleaning up after themselves, keeping harm to the bushes at a minimum, and ensuring the best use of the materials so that the fewest seams were visible. Any time we questioned something, they were there to fix it.

Erik, the salesperson, was one of four we interviewed for the work. He patiently went through a number of options. Jim, the installer, could not have been more professional, determined to make sure each window was installed without flaw. He was easy to be with, taking great pride in his craft. For new windows, ask for Jim when it comes to installation.

We thought a couple of shingles fell off. Dan came out the next day, walked the roof, and said everything was fine. The shingles must have just been extra ones left on the roof and blew off. Dan left some extra shingles for us and did not charge anything for his time.

Excellent experience from initial point of contact at estimate to completion of project. They were easy to work with, reasonably priced compared to other estimates, and extremely prompt in returning phone calls. Anything that we were not 100% satisfied with was changed and re-worked until we were satisfied. This was THE BEST experience we have had with any Angie's List service provider. In a world where customer service is becoming a lost art, Craftsman far exceeds expectations.

We had a very good experience with all the workers. They were very responsive to our questions and made every effort to satisfy us in every respect. They were timely. My calls were always answered promptly. The first painter they sent to fix the water damage said upon examination of the damage, that he couldn't do the work because we have plaster walls and ceilings and the repair work was beyond his expertise. I appreciated the fact that he said he couldn't do it, rather than have him try and not do it well. The second painter they sent did a terrific job. We are very happy with all the work that was done. I will use Craftsmen again when we need them.

Having to replace a bad roof earlier than expected, I was not too excited about the project. Craftsman made the ordeal easy and exciting. It was the start of an exterior facelift to my home. The roofing crew was great. They did a fantastic job installing a brand new roof, they were very neat, and they finished the job in 4 days working around all of the spring rains. Todd was great to work with. He was very attentive to any of my concerns or decisions and he offered great tips for making the project look fantastic in the end. Jim and Dan were always prompt to return calls and to answer any questions and concerns. I really appreciate the work they did and would recommend craftsman to anyone needing to replace a roof on their home.

That didn't really matter, but was a little disappointing. Very happy with the work, price, and professionalism of staff.

Our experience with this company was exceptional from start to finish - from dealing with Dan and Jim to the completion of the entire project. The crews' work ethic was also exceptional. They completed the job in less than a week. They worked hard and long hours and were absolutely pleasant to have around. We are extremely pleased with our ''new house and garage'' and would definitely hire this company again.

The whole experience with Craftsmen Home Improvements was excellent. They were prompt for appointments, very responsive to any concerns we had and the actual work was done in a very timely manner. The crew did an excellent, professional job. They kept the work site clean and even sent a cleanup crew around after the job was done to be sure everything was picked up. I had a large 4 panel casement window that was showing signs of water damage, but the cause was not apparent. Dan stated that while they didn't specialize in that area and could not directly fix the problem, he offered referrals to many qualified specialists. I called him several times, and he was dedicated to my problem, even though he would not profit from it. He was excellent in every way; a rare treat when it comes to business.

Dan was prompt in returning my call and very polite. He informed me that they do not do deck work unless it is part of a larger project. They did refer me to another provider for my deck project. He was very professional, but I just wish they had included this info on this site.

The folks a Craftsmen Home Improvement are great to work with. The jobs were completed in a timely fashion, and the workmanship was great. Clean up was adequate. Jim and John did a really professional job of window installation.

The craftsman was excellent. You can't even tell where the wall was repaired. The drywaller was extremely polite, meticulous in work, punctual, and I would highly, highly recommend him.

The work was superb. We dreaded the job, and it turned out just great, on time, and the best. The workers were top notch in skills and personalities. They were careful with my walls and belongings and showed great respect for our home.

The painting and staining was top notch. Color matching was perfect. The painters were absolutely meticulous. They were great people also, on time and on task. I would definitely have them back.

Dan, our primary contact with Craftsmen Home, was very professional and promptly returned my calls. There was a slight delay at the end of the project but Dan got the project moving again and made sure that we were happy. Rarely have I worked with a company that is so customer service oriented.

Top notch work, excellent service, on time, courteous, and cleaned up every day. I would use them again for any home improvement projects.

From the beginning of the process with Eric, who sold the job, to Matt, who supervised and worked the project, then to Dan, the owner who finalized our bill, I have worked with only one other contractor who met my expectations and made the process this enjoyable. Eric worked very hard in scoping the job to my expectations (I had multiple specifications because I have seen so many cheap and nasty roofing jobs). Matt led a very hardy and persevering crew through the bitter cold during early December 2005. He made a point to communicate and check with me through each stage of the job. Dan was very gracious at the end in negotiating the additional costs that arose during the job. Make sure you ask Craftsmen to do your job. They are competitively priced and true to their promises every step of the way. I am very pleased that I chose Craftsmen. The roof and flashing work against the stucco is superb - best in the neighborhood, in my opinion. They live up to their name as craftsmen!

The window locks were very complicated to operate. Another contractor had similar product with simpler locks. Work not performed.
