I called Complete Carpet Care from an ad I viewed in a Mass Marketing pamphlet I received in my newspaper mailbox. Scheduling the job was no problem. I asked about available times and made the appointment. Mike informed me the appointment was from 3-5 PM. I misunderstood. I did not realize he meant the arrival time would be anywhere between 3 & 5 pm (they arrived at 5:30 PM) I assumed that was how long the work would take. My mistake, but they did not clarify the time necessary for the appointment (turns out it is 3-4 hours). Also when I was calling to schedule the appointment, I asked about rust removal. I asked if they could get rust out of carpet and he said yes. I informed him the only reason I was hiring them was for the rust removal, otherwise I could rent a Rug Doctor and clean my own carpets. He said he understood and they would be able to take care of it for me.I had not heard from the technician and attempted to call. The technician called me at 4:15 pm and told me he would be there within 45 minutes (he arrived over an hour after he called) he also asked me to remove all of the air return grates in the entire house, which I did. When the technician arrived, he was not wearing any type of uniform and was driving his personal vehicle. I was surprised by the lack of professional appearance and it was my first inclination that this was not going to go well. We did a walkthrough of the house. I showed him the rust spots and he said he did not have anything with to remove rust. I told him he would need to get some, because that was the only reason I wanted the carpets cleaned. He began by cleaning all the ducts. The upstairs and main level were completed with no problem. When he went downstairs to clean the ducts there, he chose not to carry the vacuum down the stairs, but leave it at the top of the stairs. After pulling the hose to its mass length, the technician pulled his vacuum down the stairs, doing a tremendous amount of damage to the sheet rock and corner in the stairway. It completely dented the corner bead and plaster and mud broke off. The technician sheepishly admitted what had happened. He then moved onto the carpet cleaning, but it was over before it started. Due to his vacuum falling down and damaging my stairway, the vacuum would no longer work. He said he had to go to his boss' house and get another vacuum. I told him to get the rust remover and have a chat with his boss about the damaged wall as that was a big problem. While the technician was gone, I decided when he returned I would negotiate what we were going to do about the payment they were to receive and my damaged wall. I made up my mind I was done with this company and they would not be cleaning my carpets. By this point it was already 7:30 PM.When the technician returned, I told him I would pay for the duct cleaning and we were done. He was adamant about trying to get the rust out of the carpet in the Master Bedroom. I allowed him to do this. He was unsuccessful. I asked what his boss had to say about the damaged wall and didn't receive a real answer. The technician asked me if he didn't charge me for cleaning the master bedroom carpet if that would make up for the damaged wall. At this point, I needed them gone and I had to leave for work. I said yes, and sent him on his way with a check for the air duct cleaning only.I attempted to call the owner, Mike, twice. I naively believed he would want to preserve his company's reputation and handle this in a professional way. He chose not to return the two messages I left. This company is an unprofessional disaster. Do not call them. If you see their discount ad somewhere, don't fall for it. You get what you pay for. Use another company that is more reputable. I paid nearly $300.00 for duct cleaning and I had to pay out another $250.00 to get my sheetrock repaired from the damage they did. Buyer beware.

Called and spoke to Mike. I was able to schedule an appointment on fairly short notice (less than a week). He was pleasant and courteous. The Saturday before the appointment the AC went out at my townhome. Temperatures had been in the upper 80's and into the 90's all week. The appointment was for 11-1. Mike showed up around 11:30 and immediately got to work pretreating a number of stains in the carpet from the previous owner. He worked diligently for the next 1 1/2 hours cleaning the entire place. A number of stains did not come out, but I wasn't really expecting them to. But the carpets were extremely clean and smelled nice. My only problem was that the carpets were wet for the rest of the day and were not dry until the next morning. Granted no heat in our townhouse and high humidity could very well have played apart in that. I did have the windows closed and my dehumidifier on though.
Description of Work: Cleaned the 1200 sq ft of carpets in our townhome.

When I called to make the appointment, I got a VM but didn't leave a message. The owner of the company then called me back multiple times. When I finally spoke to him, he kept cutting me off and it was to the point of being rude. I was tempted to just hang up but I needed my carpets and vents cleaned for a party. I was told over the phone that the cleaner would be at my home from 5pm - 7pm and that they close at 8pm. My mistake, I assumed that 5pm to 7pm was how long the cleaning would take but that was the window of time for the cleaner to arrive. The cleaner called at 5pm to say he would be at my home closer to 7pm, if not before. He then called at 7:15pm and said he was on his way. The cleaner showed up at 7:35pm to clean all my carpets and vents. I told him that my kids go to bed at 8:30pm so the cleaner said he would do just a portion of the work and come back later. If he were to get all my carpets cleaned and all my vents cleaned, he would have been there until after 10pm. I have a 3 bedroom, 3 floor home. The cleaner kept his shoes on the whole time and tracked mud into the house. When he saw me cleaning it up, he seemed surprised that his muddy shoes left mud on my floor but didn't offer to clean it. I asked him about some food stains on my carpet and he just said they wouldn't come out. He didn't have any pretreating ideas or any other options. He cleaned my basement and stairs - they were soaking wet for 2 days. And the food stains didn't come out. For the dryer vent, he didn't have a ladder and the vent was on the 3rd floor on the outside. Some birds built a nest and I needed it cleaned out. He used the ladder I had but was not able to see into the vent, he just tried to vacuum it out. He left at 8:45pm and charged me $70. A friend of mine used some Zerorez to clean the stains and that worked. I would never use this service again.
