No responses, awful communication, very unprofessional. Called and left multiple voicemails with no response. Called living social where they had this $89 deal who said to try email, even though they did not originally provide email. Got back to me quickly with email asking for # and saying they would call, but still no call. If this is what it is like to try and schedule something, imagine what it would be like to actually get any work done with them. Not gonna risk it, will be pushing for refund from livingsocial.

This provider's services were purchased through a Living Social Deal (three hours for $89) back in June 2012 so I could have a small bathroom repainted. The provider (Gina) told me that her calendar was booked past the deal's December 2012 expiration date, but that she would continue to honor the deal. Her next available opening was in March 2013 and I had purchased this deal in June 2012. In the meantime, I provided photos of the work I wanted done and requested an estimate. I never really got an estimate out of her, and the information she did provide was incomplete and sketchy at best. Communication was terrible, 98% by text message, and very slow to respond. I almost cancelled the whole thing at this point, but decided to give her a chance, since I'd already waited this long. When my appointment time finally arrived (March 13, 2013), my husband and I took the day off from work, we cleared out the entire bathroom and removed the shelves, cabinets, fixtures, etc. only to have Gina show up 15 minutes late and announce that she was not prepared to do the job, that she would need at least a weekend to complete it, and she would need to come back in April to get started. She quoted me an additional $300 - $400 on top of the $89 I had already paid. My husband asked her what we were supposed to in the meantime since our bathroom was completely stripped and non-functional, and she responded that it was entirely up to us (whether we wanted to put everything back and tear it down again or live out of a box). My husband then asked her if she could at least tape, scrape and prime while she was here and she said she would have to buy the primer and that time would count against our three hours of labor. Sherman-Williams is less than a mile away and it took her over 30 minutes to go up the street, buy primer and return, where she proceeded to sit in her car for another five minutes chatting on the phone. For all I know, Gina went to McDonald's for breakfast and had primer with her the whole time. I never saw a receipt. What kind of professional painter doesn't carry primer? The actual work I got out of Gina amounted to less than 30 minutes and included partial scraping of paint above the door and patchy primer over the areas she scraped. She did not bother to tape even though she had plenty of time to do so, and left the house announcing she was done without scheduling a return appointment. job was finished by Friday. I am now working with Living Social to get a refund of the money I paid. This is a slipshod company and I would avoid Color Works Finishing at all costs. Terrible, terrible, terrible.
