Clean By Design

We hired them for three 2.5 hour services. First time I said start upstairs. I didn't watch her clean and after she left she had only cleaned upstairs. Problem was there was not much done. Upstairs is only two small kids room, small kids bath, master bed and bath. My husband and I joked about did she actually do anything.... So for the next service we asked for a different cleaner but they said she was the once for our side of town. The next two times she cleaned downstairs and again she didn't get much done for her time. My husband said he saw her with a mop in her hand but the kitchen floor was not mopped very well. It took two months to get an appointment with them.

Contacted MayBeth who had a special on LivingSocial.com. Explained I needed about three hours of cleaning RIGHT NOW. MayBeth was very accommodating, kept in touch, responded quickly to emails, voice messages, etc. Price was agreed upon, site-unseen- she had NO IDEA what she was getting in to! House was tidied up prior to her arrival to facilitate expeditious cleaning- on a tight budget and needed house cleaning post-haste and MayBeth agreed to it all, without ever having seen the mess! MayBeth arrived on time, and had an employee, Gabby. I showed the gals around, explained what I wanted, and they rolled up their sleeves and got to work immediately! While Clean By Design does provide their own equipment and cleaners- I like my Pine-Sol in lemon. They happily accommodated my request to use my cleaners, and even agreed to wipe down walls and THE CEILING in one of the bathrooms. I grabbed a ladder for Gabby to accomplish that task...and up she went! No hesitation. MayBeth runs a tight ship. She is timely, professional, communicative, prompt, courteous, and knows how to shift on the fly to accommodate customer needs and demands. I plan to have her back for more routine cleaning and get on a schedule with CBD pretty quick. Both MayBeth and Gabby wore white socks- left shoes at the entryway- and I NEVER once saw them lolly-gagging. They worked together in the kitchen first and then used a divide and conquer protocol to finish up the rest of the items I wanted. Even when my daughter returned from school and was an interruption, the gals were polite and kept working, too! They were wonderful to work with- I was telecommuting that day and they were fine to take charge of the situation after a brief show and tell- and quietly went about their business. Every once in a while I'd check in on them....just to make sure they were on task- NEVER FEAR! They were happily gabbing away about kids and school and so on...but never leaning or taking a break. They did an awesome job! My home smelled beautiful, looked gorgeous, and I felt finally ready to have my last minute visitor arrive the next day. I've had other cleaning services...large companies and mom and pop shops, too. MayBeth is the ONLY one I'm calling back! They didn't leave until I was happy, and, boy howdy!, was I happy!
