Knowing the house will be clean and tidy every couple weeks has really helped my wife relax at home. We both work and have kids so, like most households the days, we struggle to prioritize tasks. Having Clean and Organize spend four hours twice a month on the detail cleaning is awesome. It's nice to also have someone we trust in our home unattended.

Before I used Clean & Organize, I'd never hired anyone to clean my living space. Thus, I was initially hesitant to have someone in my home especially as I'm very particular about how things are cleaned. Yet with kids, job, work, and just life, we found we did not have time to clean our house beyond the very basics (like loading the dishwasher, sweeping, and wiping counters). Thus when I learned about Clean & Organize's reputation I was intrigued. I contacted them for an intake meeting; the staff member was very professional and answered all of my (many questions) and put me at ease. She was friendly and caring. The Clean & Organize staff have been taking care of our home for about five months now (since we moved into this house--our first). They do a wonderful job. I trust them and look forward to them coming. They clean things I'd likely forget (like cleaning the light fixtures or vacuuming our couch) as well as the things I'd remember but not have the time or energy to do (like mopping our wood floors and dusting, which I avoid) I've been very pleased and impressed. Without the Clean & Organize staff, our life probably would not function and it definitely would not be as pleasant. Coming home after the staff have been there is so REFRESHING. Anytime I've had a question or special request, I just contact the company and receive a prompt, friendly response. Particularly because I have small child and a husband with allergies, I appreciate the "Green" approach to their cleaning. I highly recommend Clean & Organize. Their prices are very reasonable. Description of Work: The Clean & Organize staff do so many things to make our house look, feel, and smell clean and fresh! Although I knew there are many things the staff do that I don't even realize, some of the things include: - mopping all floors - vacuuming carpet and rugs - cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms top to bottom - cleaning and sanitizing kitchen top to bottom, (stove top, counters, sink, microwave, light fixtures, outside of other appliances etc.) - dusting surfaces and other furniture (e.g., lamps) - polishing where needed - vacuuming our couch - taking out trash - windows - removing cobwebs

I work near my home, so we scheduled a day appointment. I was 5-7 minutes late for the appointment. Weather was a factor, and I didn't have her number with me in the car so I was unable to call. When I reached my home, I found her number and called. She stated that she didn't have my number and was already in another city and that we could either reschedule or she could call me in 30 minutes to tell me whether she would have time to come back. I said that I would like to meet and what time was she saying she could come back. Eventually she stated that I would have to wait up to an hour for her call and that she may or may not have time to come back. I stated that I would like to reschedule. At this point, she said that maybe working together would not be a good fit. She quoted her hourly rate and that she had a two hour minimum. This did not bother me, but she went on to say she knew another cleaner that was just getting started that may be a better fit for me and that since I had referenced a budget in my email that maybe this would be too expensive. I was a little frustrated since I had chosen her company off of Angie's list specifically, but I agreed that she could send me that person's contact information and that we would not reschedule. I emailed her later that day to remind her as a follow up that I would like that person's contact information. I also made a phone call the following Monday. I received a one sentence email stating that she did not know anyone to refer me to, and that I could check the better business bureau. I responded again asking that she send me the specific person that she mentioned on the phone when we had talked, and have not received a response after two weeks. Overall, this was a really frustrating experience. I am sorry that I was late for the appointment, but it felt like somehow when she came to my home, that there was something about the exterior of the home or my neighborhood that caused her to not want to work with me. Then, she would not pass on the referral information either without explanation. I felt this was rude and unprofessional. I'm proud of my home and my neighborhood and I make enough money to afford a cleaning lady even though I live in North Minneapolis. I'm sure that Rosemary does a good job with those she chooses to work with, but beware you may not make the cut.
Description of Work: I requested information about cleaning and organizing services for my home. I received an email response saying she would call soon, and another email response the next day asking if I was still interested. I responded that I was interested, and that I was looking for a service that fit my goals and budget. She responded by email that we could schedule a 30 minute consultation in my home. We never spoke by phone until the day of the appointment, as described below.

I have not charged this poster any money since I have never met with her or taken her on as a client. Some citizens in Minneapolis are voluntarily moving into depressed areas to raise and give balance to the economic conditions and be a support to those neighbors around them. I feel this is a noble effort. However my company is not cheaply insured since we are a Minneapolis local and independently owned business, verses franchises that receive tax breaks and lower rates on insurances. With that said I found this address to have neighboring houses with boarded up windows and doors. I questioned the safety of the area. After considering the conditions and phone interactions with this Angie's List member I came to the conclusion she would not be a candidate for referral. Courtesy speaks volumes and as with any interview, manners and consideration are an indicator of how successful a client will be to work with. Best wishes and I hope this individual’s challenges have been resolved.

We hired Rosemary/Clean & Organize nearly eight years ago following the birth of our first child. Originally, we had our house cleaned every other Friday, and it included dusting, vacuuming, mopping and thoroughly cleaning our bathroom(s). This was especially important, given that we had two cats (and cat hair everywhere!) plus hardwood floors and lots of woodwork. Now we have our house cleaned monthly, and Clean & Organize is as thorough as ever. Very respectful of our home - and very accommodating if we need to change the date of our cleaning. Also, incredibly reasonably priced for the quality of work. Rosemary and her team have been an important part of us making our busy lives "work" - we are very happy with her and would highly recommend her.
Description of Work: They provided top-to-bottom cleaning of our three-story, three-bedroom, three-bath house.

I hesitated to write this review, because I think it's very important to be fair and balanced. To be fair, Clean & Organize was incredibly good at cleaning. The first few times I came home to find things like candleholders wiped down and cleaned and floors gleaming. But, from the beginning, for whatever reason, we struggled with communication. One of the sticking points was how they preferred to be paid. After a number of attempts I asked my husband to step in, because generally he's much more level-headed than I am. Even he got a bit frustrated. The relationship ended just recently after my slow payment (I travel for work and not easy for me to get a check in the mail) prompted an email from the owner threatening court action for lack of payment and citing my husbands "hostile attitude". I completely understand the need for small companies to have prompt payment and I do not fault them for that. What I would expect, after a relationship of a few months and good payment history is a call asking about payment not a threat and reference to my husbands attitude. An important note, I received that email at 2:49 pm on a Friday, the check was cashed that same day according to my bank records.
Description of Work: Overall, very good cleaners. Didn't have a good experience with communication. They cleaned our home starting in August. At first we had them come in every other week, towards the end it was just once a month.

Description of Work: Rosemary and her team have been cleaning our 1920's bungalow for a couple of years. We are very pleased with our service. The team is courteous, timely and professional. I also appreciate their use of "green products". They clean all parts of our house excluding the basement (our choice) and the house always "sparkles" when they are done. I have used other services in the past but have not been as happy as I am with Clean and Organize.

Top of the list was my husbands office and bathrooms. She did 2nof the three bathrooms and didn't do the office. Four hours of work, we expected more. I emailed Rosemary and she sent her employee over again for 2 hours. I'm not sure what she did for those two hours. The missed bathroom wasn't done. Again. This was not worth the money. At all.
Description of Work: We asked them to clean our home top to bottom as trial. I get an email a day or two before the appointment saying she will nobly be here 4 hours. I made a detailed list of what to do.

Clean & Organize LLC cleaned twice in this household. After the first cleaning was claimed to be unsatisfactory the same employee was sent at no charge for 2 hours. Dispite a long standing employee with high marks from our clients, we were not able to resolve this individuals complaints. We resolve - we cant please everyone.

Description of Work: Housecleaning every 2 weeks. We have multiple pets and they do a great job removing all of the fur from furniture and carpeting. Trustworthy, reliable and pleasant. Really appreciate that they use products that are natural or no fragrance!

The ladies from Clean & Organize come in, using green cleaning materials, and quickly and efficiently clean up my house. They do a fantastic job, and are even able to work with my schedule, which can be sometimes chaotic. The fact that we continue to use their services speaks volumes. I would never continue using the services of a company if I wasn't pleased with the results.

Rosemary Mitlyng, the owner of the company, met with me before scheduling the first clean. She did this to describe her services, see the house, and provide an estimate for services. The initial deep clean was scheduled a few days later. Rosemary is very pleasant and easy to work with. She is easy to reach by phone to answer any questions or concerns. While she does do some cleaning, most of her time is spent managing the company. She has a small staff that sound as if many have been with the company long-term. For the initial deep clean, two people worked on my house. On-going cleaning is done by one person. The cleaning is thorough and they use primarily green products. They keep a mop and products at my house (an additional charge). Rosemary called to check-in after the first service to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. I am very happy with the service.

I like that they use non toxic products and they are meticulous about any instructions that I leave and they are very careful about not letting the cat get out. She left a nice cotton dish towel for me when she saw we were using paper towels and gave me a nice magnet with the 12 most important foods to make sure you buy that are organic on it.

They use non toxic products, clean well and come on time. They pay taxes so you do not need to worry about the household employees. I have been using them for about 5 years now and I have not had any problems. They are honest and I am happy with them. I could get something less expensive but I am getting what I pay for.

Rosemary does a nice job of cleaning and one of her house cleaners, Brooke, did an equally nice job as well. Both are delightful to work with and seem to care for my household while they clean. I'm used this service to have my house cleaned every two weeks for almost a year and am pretty satisfied. Sometimes the owner (Rosemary) cleans and sometimes her assistant cleans and they both do a respectable job. They're flexible on the schedule given a few days notice. I trust them in my home. I've even paid Rosemary to house sit for a few weeks and was very satisfied.
Description of Work: Clean & Organize provides basic cleaning services for floors, bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen. The owner (Rosemary) will also offer suggestions for how to organize cupboards, closets, etc. and will often do it if you agree.

Rosemary had a clear understanding of the condition of my home-of course it needed cleaning or no need for her service. Results weren?t great. There were problems in every area; some areas forgotten. Vacuuming was done around furniture, not under. In the kitchen, part of the counter was cleaned but nothing sitting on the counter. Sink was covered in water spots. Our agreement included both fridge & freezer. Although not moldy, fridge definitely needed cleaning; I agreed to do the freezer. In the bathrooms - soap scum in the bathtubs, streaky mirrors & a shower door track was untouched. The only laundry I requested was throw rugs, which had been in the original agreement - she refused to do any cleaning of those rugs. She was the one initiating conversations, particularly about how to change her helper?s status from sub-contractor to employee. When contacted about the problems, Rosemary did NOT apologize nor try to work with me on anything.
Description of Work: I contracted for DEEP cleaning PORTIONS of my home, including kitchen, dining area, living room, 2 bathrooms, screen porch. In family room and office, only floor cleaning was included. No bedrooms. When unfavorable remarks prompted the company’s response below, I was allowed to edit my report to respond to the misrepresentations.

ON SHORT NOTICE THIS CLIENT NEEDED A TWO LEVEL HOUSE & PORCH CLEANED FOR AN EVENT. WE MET, DISCUSSED CHARGES AND ESTIMATED 4 HRS. FOR TWO PEOPLE. I TOLD HER 4 COULD BE OUR CUT OFF TIME SINCE SHE FRETTED OVER COST. A BIG HOUSE, WITH 8 ADULT CATS HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED IN A WHILE. I EXPLAINED MY RATES & THAT EACH HOUSE VARIES WHICH THE INITIAL CLEANING WILL HELP DETERMINE. SATISFIED WITH HER QUESTIONS ANSWERED SHE SET A DATE TO CLEAN. UPON RETURNING SHE ASKED ME TO FINISH ASSEMBLING HER NEW VACUUM DELAYING OUR START. SOON SHE BEGAN ADDING ON OTHER REQUESTS. WE INCLUDED THE FRIDGE, WHICH WAS OVERGROWN WITH MOLD. WHILE WORKING, THE CLIENT FOLLOWED US TO EACH ROOM COMPLAINED ABOUT HER CAT SITTING BUSINESS, MAKING CONVERSATION, AND INSISTED ON HAVING LAUNDRY DONE. AFTER 4 HRS OF CLEANING WORK WAS NOT COMPLETE. EARLIER I MENTIONED MY COUPON DISCOUNT FOR FIRST TIME CUSTOMERS SO I OFFERED TO EXTEND OUR TIME BY 40 MINS.- NO CHARGE. WE FINISHED AND PACKED UP WITH A HAPPY CLIENT SAYING, "HOW CLEAN EVERYTHING SMELLED". SEVERAL DAYS LATER I RECEIVED A 2-PAGE E-MAIL (NO WHITE SPACE) OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT ALL ROOMS EVEN THOUGH WE LEFT A DETAILED CHECKLIST. AREAS SHE SAID TO SKIP WERE MENTIONED AS BADLY CLEANED. READING ON IT WAS OBVIOUS A RENEGOTIATIONS WOULD NOT HELP & THE BEST SOLUTION WAS TO OFFER MY SINCERE APOLOGIES FOR HER DISSATISFACTION AND I COULD NOT BE OF FURTHER HELP.

Rosemary was very prompt in contacting me regarding her services and my needs. She set up a mutually convenient appointment to sit with me and provide me with an estimate. We visited for a considerable amount of time and when I decided to hire her I knew that she was an honest, reliable person who would be very careful with my household that contains many antiques. I have only used her services a couple times, (once when she came, and once when her assistant Lindsay came), and have been very satisfied.

After charging us an extra 75$ for cleaning supplies and a special mop and bucket (because she refused to use ours,) she cleaned three times. I was unhappy from the beginning, she did a very poor job and was VERY SLOW! This resulted in our being charged for hours of work, and I am still unsure what she did during this time. After begging for a third chance, she cleaned the final time and again did a very poor job (I had to clean after her) so I finally had to let her go. When I explained we could not work together anymore she proceeded to insult both me and my husband.
Description of Work: Rosemary came to clean and organize our new apartment.

THERE ARE MANY INACCURACIES IN THIS CLIENT'S POST BUT I WILL ADDRESS THE MOST PROMINENT ISSUES. THIS IS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF THE CHALLENGES THAT OCCUR WHEN POLICY IS NOT FOLLOWED. UNAWARE OTHER WORKERS WERE SCHEDULED WHILE CLEANING SERVICES WHERE CONDUCTED. AFTER CLEANING BEDROOM CLOSET AND ORGANIZING THE CLOTHES ON SHELVES THE CLOSET COMPANY COME IN TO TEAR OUT THE ENTIRE WALK-IN CLOSET. THIS REQUIRED RE-CLEANING. THE DOG HANDLER CAME IN AND OUT THEN IN AGAIN AFTER WALKING THE DOG, UNLEASHED HIM TO RUN WILDLY THROUGH OUT THE WET WAREHOUSE LOFT FLOOR. THE TWO LOADS OF WASH TURNED INTO SEVEN. WASH IS NOT PART OF THE CUSTOMARY ARRANGEMENT BUT I MADE EXTRA EFFORT TO BE ACCOMMODATING FOR THIS CLIENT. LATER THAT DAY I RECEIVED A MALICIOUS PHONE CALL FROM THIS CLIENT LEAVING LITTLE ROOM FOR A WIN-WIN RESOLUTION. CHARGES WERE WELL BELOW THE CLAIMED 300.00. IN FACT I LOST MONEY. THE JOB WAS DONE IN JULY 06 BUT HE POSTED IN OCTOBER WHICH IS THE DATE MOST CLEANING SERVICES GENERATE NEW CLIENTS.
