Description of Work: Chuck scheduled an appointment next day, was right on time, courteous and quick. He repaired a leaky kitchen sink an shower. He was in and out in less then an hour and all for a very reasonable price. I will definitely call him again when I need some help from a handyman.

Description of Work: I called Chuck around 9:00 in the morning, he said he'd be there by 12:00, he was right on time. Our bathroom sink was leaky from somewhere in the drain, Chuck identified the problem, replaced a piece that had cracked and snaked the drain all the way down to the basement. He was done in under an hour and charged $100 total (including the replacement piece). He was great! I've already recommended him to people looking for a handyman to handle small jobs plan to call him again to replace a faucet and two storm doors.

Description of Work: Chuck was here for 3 hours tending to a list of things. He re-roped three sash windows, replaced a GFI outlet, replaced 2 porcelain light fixtures. He hung an item on the wall, reattached a front porch railing to the house and fixed a closet door that wouldn't stay closed. Very pleasant man and efficient. I will definitely use his services again.

+ -1 moreVery nice fella was prompt, neat and clean personally, friendly, informative and made me feel conformable having him in my house. He did a great job, cleaned up after himself. Very neat. Real fair price.
Description of Work: Chuck removed and replaced both tub fixtures, caulked the area and did a thorough check in the wall to be sure there were no leaks. he disposed all parts he removed. Brought a vacuum to clean!!

He showed up right on time and was very professional, friendly and did a great job. I like that he shows up when he says he will, with the supplies he needs to complete the job. I have already scheduled him to come back and complete some additional electrical work, as well as installing a new dryer vent. I would absolutely recommend him!
Description of Work: We had a number of small projects for Chuck to complete. He switched light fixtures, grounded outlets, hung a bi-fold door, and fixed a cabinet door. He was very precise and did a great job. I have no complaints!

+ 0 moreWhen I spoke to him on the phone, he sounded like he was writing down what i was saying and even teased me a bit for doing some DIY electrical work. I had my mom meet him at my house at the scheduled time since I had to work, and he claimed he had no idea he was supposed to work on the outlets and light switches, so he only fixed the breaker. In his defense, the breaker now works properly. However, he even made a comment on how my family and I attempted our own repairs, so I know that I requested the two items. His rates are very reasonable and (according to my mom) he seemed like he knew what he was doing, so we scheduled him for a follow up to finish up. For the second appointment, he called a few days in advance and had to reschedule. I understand these things happen, but for the re-scheduled appointment he didn't show up and didn't even call. Based on my experience, I wouldn't hire him again.
Description of Work: I hired him to fix a few electrical issues in my recently purchased house. I told him I need two things done- there's a breaker that needs to be replaced and a few light switches/outlets don't work.

+ 0 moreVery well! Chuck was able to get this done within a week from when I called, which was great. He came when he said, got down to work, took out the old window and put in the new one. He was clean, used tarps, vaccumed up and made sure the window was well caulked. Also the custom ordered window did not have an important part that it should have had, and Chuck offered to make that part custom himself and put it in.
Description of Work: Chuck and Bob put in a replacement window that we had purchased from a big box home repair store. It took about 2 or 2.5 hours. As it is an old house (over 100 yrs old) and the house had sagged a bit, it was a bit more complex. But Chuck was prepared and was able to deal with the inconsistencies in the window frame. It fit just right.

Description of Work: We had a short in one of our outlets. We did not know it until sparks started flying out of the outlet. We called Chuck at 5:00pm in hopes that he would come over and fix it. He lived in our neighborhood. He arrived in 20 minutes and tooks care of the problem most efficiently. We were so pleased, we asked him to give us a bid to replace the old fuse box with a circuit breaker.

The electrical work went smoothly and quickly and make my home's electrical system safer and nicer to use. He offered good advice on how to improve things without spending too much money.

+ -1 moreAlways great results when Chuck does a job. He is always willing to make it right when you are less than satisfied. He is very prompt in his response; he can often get to you within a day or two with most jobs.
Description of Work: Chuck installed a new toilet (pressure assist) and also hung ceramic address tiles on my garage. He has worked on various projects in my home for the past 15 or so years. He can do practically any household job, large or small. We have such a trusted relationship that I will call him up, tell him what I need and he comes over and enters my house (often when I am at home) to complete the job. He finishes his work and simply leaves a bill on the counter. The work is always done to my satisfaction and if it isn't, he is willing to make it right. Projects that he has done in the past 15 years: replaced old steel water pipes with copper pipes to increase my water pressure, new toilet, new hot water heater (on a Sunday, no extra charge), gutted and refinished a bedroom severely damaged by ice dams this past winter, electrical rewiring, installation of new exterior door, refinished wood door original to the house, new kitchen and bathroom sink faucets, installation of new shower door. I could go on and on. Chuck's prices are always competitive and the work is guaranteed. I would highly recommend him for all of your house repair and maintenance needs!

I've used him many times...often I build my "chuck-list" and he spends a day taking care of a bunch of little things around the house. this time, I needed help to install a fold out ironing board I salvaged into my upstairs bedroom. He did a great job of carefully cutting into the lath and plaster for the ironing board and the outlet. He cleaned up as he went and finished that day. I will continue to rely on Chuck to help me get stuff done. PS...He loves my dogs!

+ 1 moreEverything went great, and Chuck is awesome! He is very competent, came on time, and returned when he said he would. He went the extra mile, even on our small job. We had a missing piece to the new faucet that we bought, and he offered to go to the store to exchange it for us. He seems to have just about everything you may need for a small home project in his shiny blue van. He is honest, did not over-charge us and gave us good advice. We will have him back to fix a leak in our basement.
Description of Work: Chuck came and unclogged our bathroom sink and replaced our kitchen faucet, which was broken. He went the extra mile by helping repair, clean, and tighten the bathroom faucet so that it did not need to be replaced and also fixed a loose doorknob that kept falling off. Also we had some broken windows that he noticed and offered to fix them (he can cut his own glass).
