The job was completed in one day and they started early made recommendations on removal of wire fence and offered to clean up a number of stumps in addition to those where he removed trees. I had another quote and he was 20% less. Cleaned up well after.

Overall job was well done at good price. Three bids and Jim was lowest bid and did a fine job.

This was a big job. The company sent a four man crew and they had their work cut out for them. They trimmed the two trees and hauled away all branches and debris. They left my yard very clean.

Called Jim to get a quote and he arrived that afternoon and provided a quote. Reviewed what was needed to trim and reshape the over grown trees. Seamed very knowledgeable. Crew arrived exactly on time and worked very quickly to complete the job. Everything was done as discussed and the clean up was excellent. Jim checked with me to make certain that I was happy with the work before they completed everything, cleaned up and left. Plan to hire again to trim some Oak trees this late fall.

Great - first call Mr. Savre walked the property with me - asked my intent. He suggested other steps I could take to create a better appearance. In general I agreed and the work was performed, or scheduled for later in the year.

Jim came out the day after I called to look over what we needed done. They removed a dead birch from a clump of three, removed several "volunteer" trees and trimmed a large flowering crab tree. The work was done quickly and everything was cleaned up. We have used Central MN Tree before and won't hesitate to use them again.

Got an estimate in a couple days and work was completed perfectly 5 days after that.

I had used and been very happy with this company before so felt comfortable in calling them again. I spoke to Jim and gave him the information he needed, he came out, gave me an estimate and we set up a day for the following week. He called the day before to let me know they would be at my home around 1:00 p.m. Mid-morning on that day, we had a heavy downpour in which his workers were drenched and he called to ask if they could come the next day at the same time instead. Since I am retired and had no plans, that was fine. The next day, the trucks and workers arrived 2 hours earlier than expected, in 2-1/2 hours, both trees were gone, all debris hauled away, stumps removed and the yard completely cleaned up. No one would ever have known anything happened here that day. The workers went to work, never looked up from their work, and did an excellent job. I couldn't have been happier. This is a great company to work with.

I had requested several estimates from different companies. They were all within the $2,000 range. Central Minnesota Tree Service was the only company that told me that they would have to wait for road restrictions to be lifted due to the trucks that needed to be used for the removal. All the other companies were ready to remove the tree the next day. I appreciated the honesty of Central Minnesota Tree Service so I decided to have them remove my tree. They arrived at the scheduled time and were very professional. They cleaned up everything very nicely.

He came and gave me a minimum quote for a trip. Mentioned he would take off lower dead branches because he could take care of those and stay under the minimum cost. He came out the next day and completed the job. Clean-up was excellent, hardly knew they were there except for the tree was gone and branches trimmed.

Called Jim at Central MN Tree Service since he did such a good job of removing unwanted trees this past fall. This time I stopped looking "up" and was focused on the ratty old shrubs that were on the property. I called him on a Wednesday and he came out on Saturday at 8 a.m. to walk the grounds and look at the job. He made recommendations about what to keep (not much) and told me that there was a $250 minimum but that they would be happy to do the job for $250. It seemed more than fair given the amount of back breaking labor it would have been to hand-dig those root systems out and/or rent a stump grinder to risk life and limb to do it myself (we're talking about both types of shrubs - evergreen and the other kind). Jim said he'd maybe be able to actually perform the work in about 10 days. Lo and behold, however, they got to the job in a much shorter time frame and actually called me today (about a week after our first phone contact) to see if it was okay for him to come out today to do the work (of course!). Jim called after the work was accomplished and advised me how it went, and even said that they had replanted one of the nicer/newer looking shrubs in a new spot - and to tell him if I didn't like it because they'd come back to remove it if I didn't. Ya gotta love that attention to detail - I told him that I'd be happy if he'd like to take over the interior decorating as well. Maybe that is too much personality for this review space, but he is seriously a good person to work with and I am very, very pleased to give him the business - especially since I encountered the company through Angie's List. Jim and his wife will send you a bill that includes a self-addressed stamped envelope for your return mail. I really mean it when I say they have this whole customer service thing running like a well-oiled machine. Very impressive and I am quite happy with the results.

Excellent. The crew finished on-time and cleaned up very nicely. In addition, they removed a stump of a tree that our utility company had cut down last fall- they did this without me asking & did not charge anything extra for the additional service.

Very good job at a great price. Job was not easy, as one tree (removal) was rubbing against power line (from main line to house) and a second was a canopy pruning to get limbs away from power line and roof. Jim S. went out of the way to work with next-door neighbor to split-cost removal of limb covering both our yards. Job was done quickly and efficiently. Cleanup was acceptably good, with some twigs and small branches left. Price (which incl. a mail-advertised discount this time), value, and service have made me a repeat customer since 2001.

We ended up going with another company because Central Minnesota Tree Service was unresponsive.

Jim had his truck by the curb and he used his cherry picker to move around the tree - he didn't have to drive the truck onto my front lawn. Limbs were lowered by rope, no crashing to the ground events. Jim took great care not to damage my new plants and landscaping that was installed after the original estimate. They did a good cleanup job. Honest. He and his crew do careful work not to damage my property. Very pleasant personality. Fair pricing. The crew works safely and they coordinate their efforts. Hire him & his crew. You'll be happy with the work and you won't regret it. He and his crew are truly professionals.

I called a week ago for an estimate and Jim agreed to stop at our house the following Saturday at 9am. Shortly after 9, he called; we were outside and didn't get the call, so he left a message saying that after looking at a map, he thinks my house is too far away. He said they are real busy right now and he couldn't justify making the trip from Fridley to Saint Paul. He added that I was more than welcome to call him in a month to see if they would have time. I immediately called him back but got no answer. We are very irrated because he should have been organized enough to check the distance when I first called, so we could arrange another estimate. Not very profession to cancel on someone at the time they expect you! He needs to post something on his website about travel. I told him at the time I was desperate to have the tree serviced as a branch appears to be on the verge of breaking on its own, and presents a danger to small children. Will not be calling him back in a month!!

I called Jim on a Wednesday to see about an estimate. He said he'd be out Friday or Saturday. Friday morning he called to see if he could stop by late that afternoon. He walked the property, checking for access, etc. He gave me the estimate within 10 minutes, but warned me the work would not be done for 2-3 weeks. 13 days later he called to see if they could do the job the following day, and gave me an hour window of arrival time. They arrived promptly at the time they said they'd be there, and immediately got busy. One gentleman worked on the tree removal in the back yard, another on the tree removal in the front yard. Those same men also trimmed the remaining trees in the area they were working. Jim was hauling brush and limbs to the chipper, then ground the stumps. These guys were professional, friendly, and left my yard spotless!

It was so impressive that my neighbors called them to use them after they were finished. They put ply wood on the ground, so they didn't damage the lawn when they brought their equipment in. They were very cautious and considerate. Not only did they do a great job, but they were fast and very efficient and the clean up was just as good. They even took some extra limbs from around the yard as well. They were very pleasant to have around.

Jim scheduled the work within three weeks after my call, but due to circumstances beyond his control, the date was moved out several more weeks. Jim and his crew arrived on time on the rescheduled day, worked steadily through-out the day but had to return another day to remove the stump and large root. (It was a very large tree!) They left the job site as clean as possible after downing a large tree. Before I chose Central Minnesota Tree Service, Jim advised me there would be some damage to near-by shrubs, so I was prepared and appreciated his honesty. While I'm saddened to lose my tree, I recommend Central Minnesota Tree Service to anyone who needs this kind of work done.

They were prompt. They did the job for the amount they said they would. I was happy with them.

Was a slight challenge to get them out for the estimate, they missed an appointment, but they called and explained about an equipment failure, then rescheduled and completed the job. Contact (in person and on phone) was pleasant and professional. Tree looks great, they cleaned up the yard and shrubbery around the tree from debris and we didn't notice any issues in the yard from the equipment.

I got bids from two other companies which were high. I looked at Angie's List one more time and called James at Central Minnesota Tree Service. He was right out that very weekend and was early for the bid appointment. He carefully walked the property. Apart from the obvious removal of the tree on the garage and power line, he gave some advice on what to keep and what to remove. His bid was very welcome indeed! It was less than half of what the other bids were (from Rainbow and S & S), even though he was actually performing more work and and his time-frame for completing the work was sooner than the other companies. I really liked his "can do" attitude and the price cannot be beat. The work was performed without any hitch. It is like those troublesome trees never existed - what a load off my mind to have this taken care of by such a good crew. Give James a call, you won't be disappointed.

The second time they came I was not happy with the clean up. They left many large branches.

Excellent! Was not able to get to tree immediately due to large workload, but did excellent job! Took tree down, stump grinding, and cleaned up mess with little damage to the grass. Cost significantly less than competitors I received quotes from.
