Description of Work: My garage light switch wires had shorted out and burned and I was in dire need to get it fixed. I contacted Brothers Electric Co. and was able to actually set up an service appointment on the "same day"! Robert came out and put in 2 hard hours in locating and solving my wiring issues. He tried many ways to fix the root of the problem and believe me it wasn't easy. After the project was completed, he explained what had happened and how it occured. I am very happy with the quality and the professionalism I received from Robert and I would be very happy to recommend him and Brothers Electric Co.

Description of Work: I called in the morning and Bothers arranged to have someone by late afternoon. They called me when their rep was 20 minutes out. I met with him at 3;00 pm exactly. The Brothers representative fixed the problem within an hour. He was very professional.and explained what had gone wrong. I was charged for a simple sevice call fee minus an "Angies List" discount. I love these guys!

Description of Work: Electrical service to the house had come loose, and was about to rip service mast from the house. Called Brothers Electrical at 10:00 AM. They had a service crew on site in less than two hours. Job was done in 30 minutes. Great crew. This is the way all company's should run. You will not go wrong by calling Brothers Electrical for all your electrical needs.

Description of Work: Installed a CAT wire for tv mounting in the basement. Seemed like something one person could do but had two people here. I thought cost was a little high - maybe just not aware how much things cost. Kay

Description of Work: They installed a bath fan in a 1920's house, a new exterior GFI outlet and some lighting and additional outlets for a small remodeling project. They originally gave me an estimate, but I decided to reduce and change the scope of work, so they agreed to perform the work on a time and material basis, with a pre-agreed upon hourly rate for 2 electricians. They showed up on time and worked diligently until finished, doing a very professional job. Three years ago they also did the electrical work for my kitchen remodeling, which I was very pleased with.

Description of Work: We called for service about 10am. They could have two people arrive between 2 and 4pm. At 1pm we received a call that two of their men were coming back in and they could be at our house in 10 minutes. They were here in about 5 minutes! Very Timely. They offered to take off their shoes and leave them at the door. Very Neat. when they arrivedWe told them what was going on, they asked a few questions and went to the power supply. Within 5 minutes, they had diagnosed that the problem was outside with the power line. One of the guys took their ladder and checked something at the power pole. They told us we should call Xcel now so they could work on getting someone out. The electricians explained what was going on with our power supply and how things worked. They switched a few of our breakers (?) around so we could have heat and told us what we could and could not use in our house until Xcel had done their work. Very Informative. I asked if they prefer check or credit card payment. They said we could write a check or we could be billed. They also mentioned the $15 Angie's List coupon. The person who scheduled our work had also mentioned the $15 coupon. Overall - Very Good - We would call them again.

Description of Work: I used Angies List to find a "reliable" provider of electrical contractor service. I called and made an appointment to have someone come and give me an estimate on a few repairs that I needed at our home. I explained to the person scheduling the appointment what I needed the estimate for and where I lived. She scheduled the appointment for about 10 days later. On the morning of the scheduled appointment, a repairman called my home and asked what exactly I needed done. I told him and his reply was "We are at least 40 minutes from your home - I think it makes more sense for you to call someone closer to where you live!" I explained to him that I told the scheduler what I needed and where I lived and he said "Well, I still think you should call someone closer to where you live". I said "Fine, I certainly will!" and hung up. This was 2 hours prior to our scheduled appointment. I felt this was very unprofessional and rude and will never call this provider again.

Description of Work: In a time when you get nothing for free, I was very impressed and appreciative of the basic advice I was given by an (older I think) man who answered the phone and recommended I try some things before requesting an actual appointment. As it turns out he was right and I did not need to pay anyone to come to our home. I was also impressed that the charges were $85 per hour without any basic travel or trip charges. Other providers who are highly rated on Angies list had advised me just visiting would be $145 in one case or $200 to do a 'diagnostics' in the other case. Really appreciate the old school approach.
