The electricians were excellent. Two of the three fixtures were pretty easy to hang, but the third was above a staircase. They did a great job in putting up the new fixtures.

We have used them many years ago and we were happy with them. Due to the tornado, the trees came down and the power lines were damaged. They had to work with the electrical backup. They had to update the meter box because now I guess they had to have some kind of bypass system. They hooked up the electric. Most of the work was covered by insurance. They took out the old meter box and then they re-routed the electric. They put in the new meter box, re-installed the meter and they hooked up the electric temporarily. The power company came by that same day and did real connection for us. We were without power close to a week. The workers that came out were very good. They cleaned up after themselves. They are reliable. Their price of $1000 included a lot in parts. We would recommend them to others and would use them again in the future if needed; in fact, they are the first ones that I would personally call.

I called to have two lights fixed. I thought I had mentioned both lights to my husband. When I called him to remind him about the electrician coming out, my husband said that Brothers Electric had already come and fixed the light. I said that there were two lights that needed fixing. My husband said that he didn't remember me mentioning the second one. I thought I'd call Brothers Electric to see if they could come out again and fix the second light. The person I talked to on the phone was very nice and understanding, said that he noted when I first called for service that I wanted two lights fixed, and that an electrician would be out later. I called my husband a short time after that and said they would be coming out a second time. My husband said that they had already come out again and fixed the light. Wow! I was surprised at how fast Brother Electric works. They provided excellent service, came out twice, and didn't charge me for a second trip.

I have used Brothers Electric several times now for various jobs. As always, they are prompt, efficient, and do a very good job.

This could have been a much more expensive process, but the technician did a great job helping with what ended up being three minor fixes. We would definitely use them again.

Bob came out exactly at 8:30 a.m. and performed the work. Very personable and professional and was helpful in recommending how the light should be positioned.

Excellent experience. This was our second call made to Brothers within the year. Last summer, they changed out a dining room chandelier for us, and the electricians kindly stayed an additional, unscheduled half hour to fix our doorbell. That job (chandelier) required two workers. The sconce install required only one electrician for the job, and he was one of the same men who had come to the house on the initial job. In both instances, arrival was prompt, work was done efficiently and with great professionalism. We won't hesitate to hire again. They offer and honored an Angie's list discount.

I called Brothers Electric to get an estimate of the job and was told it sounded like a simple job--should take an hour and that their hourly rate was $85/hour. I was called when they arrived at my townhome and told it was a pretty straight forward job and was not told of any additional time or equipment needed. However, when I got the bill the hourly rate was NOT $85/hour but $110/hournd and was charged 1.5 hours at $110/hour = $180. In addition I was charged $14.97 for materials without any detail. I was charged $194.97 for a job I was led to believe would be $85!! Would you hire them again??!!

I am doing a minor remodeling project in my upstairs bathroom. I am doing most of the work, but still need the occasional assistance from electrician and plumbing professionals. For instance and in this case, as I remodel different rooms, I try to update the electrical switches and outlets where needed and possible. I can only afford small jobs, so when I take the plunge to call a professional, I want to ensure I am getting the best service possible at a reasonable rate. So, I joined Angie's List and found Brother's Electric. They were top-rated. I called them, they answered the phone, and I was able to set up an appointment for a day and time that suited me nicely. Jeff arrived promptly at the time set. He removed his shoes. I showed him to the bathroom where the work was to be done. He listened as I described what I wanted, asked a few pertinent questions, and got right to work. Jeff did exactly what I needed him to do and he did a superb job! He even tidied up the two non-functional outlet openings to make it easier for me to patch! Very helpful! And, he was able to use the materials I purchased at the hardware store, saving me money! Additionally, I asked Jeff about some electrical issues in my kitchen. He patiently answered questions to my satisfaction and understanding. I asked if he had any ideas for what to do with the conduit and wires sticking out of the wall from an old light fixture I had removed from over the kitchen sink years ago. Very unsightly! Jeff suggested installing another light. He had a light of the sort I needed in his truck and offered to show it to me. It was sleek and just what I was looking for. He told me the cost and that if I wanted it installed, he had enough time to do it without going over one hour of total labor. So, I asked him to go ahead. He did and it looks great. To top it all off, I happened to mention that I chose Brother's Electric from Angie's List and Jeff reminded me that I could use the coupon they offered! He reminded me!! Super nice and extremely professional. I am giddy because everything worked out so perfectly! Thanks so much, Jeff!

They arrived early, fixed the problems (two lights quit working - circuit issue) faster than expected, & much less expensively than expected! I will definitely recommend Brothers to friends/family.

Extremely fast and professional service.

When I initially made the appointment, it was for the outlet work plus reinstalling a ceiling fixture that had fallen out of the ceiling. Bob came out on Friday and after looking at the outlet in the kitchen, determined that it was a two man job, as they'd have to fish wires. He fixed the ceiling light for me and didn't charge me for the appointment at all! Jeff & Joe came out the following Monday morning right on time (8:30am) and did the outlet work in the kitchen. They were friendly and professional, and did a great job.

Found vendor thru Angie's List based on rating, number of A reports and proximity to home. Received immediate reponse to schedule an estimate. Estimator was punctual and friendly and estimate seemed fair. Project was scheduled within a week. Electricians arrive on time. Work was estimated to take 1 full day and possibly part of a second day. Work was completed in 1 day with the exception of the bathroom exhaust fan which was taken to their shop for repair. The electrician also repaired an old outlet and light switch in a storage room in the back of the garage that I asked to add after the bid and he did not charge extra. Inspector was scheduled the following morning and the work passed with flying colors with a good word from the inspector that Brother's does good work. The only disappointment I have is the installation of a white switch plate on a tan wall with a tan door adjacent so I will need to buy a tan plate to replace it, and I was advised by the estimator that an old board the old fuse panel was mounted on would be removed and replaced with a new board for the new breaker panel and this was not done. The old board looks terrible with the new panel but I guess I can try painting over it. Overall I am very happy with the results.

I called for a ballpark estimate on these two projects. Denny asked pertinent questions with regard to the current recessed can, trying to determine brand name or part number or something to help him understand the job better. Although his estimate was higher than another I had obtained from a competitor, I felt that it was probably more realistic and that I would be more satisfied with the process and results. Mike actually scheduled the work. It was nice that he could schedule it for the next day. He was very clear that Bob would be coming after finishing another job so the time was approximate. Bob called to let me know he was on his way, as I had been told he would do. He investigated the recessed light situation and came up with a couple possible solutions. He was careful to check all the pieces -- whether there was power to the wires, to the switch, etc., before leaving to get parts. He had come with a replacement can but was hoping to find a socket that would work in the existing can. Unable to locate a socket that would work, he ended up modifying the replacement can to function in the hole and framework that already existed. He had picked up a trim piece and installed it, but it wasn't quite wide enough to fully cover the hole. I will be looking for a better trim piece to install myself in the near future. The 3-way switch was more challenging than he expected (which I knew -- I had already tried to fix it myself and figured there was something else going on). He ended up taking the ceiling fixture down and found extra wires tucked up inside that were improperly connected. It took patience and persistance since it had been wired in a seldom-used way.

We are in the process of replacing the ceiling in our kitchen and my wife and I decided last week to put in recessed lights. We called a few places and Brothers had the best pricing and were available immediately. We even moved it up one day on a day's notice with no problem. Electricians arrived and consulted me about placement of the cans. Took them an hour or so to go back and get a few parts, but once they were back, the job only took them a couple of hours and they did great work. I really appreciate their flexibility and excellent service. Additionally, their office was very helpful with the permitting process and that went very smoothly as well (Minneapolis). We will likely have some other electrical jobs down the road and won't hesitate to call this company again.

I called and asked if they had an idea of what it could be and their quote. The gentleman I spoke with was very nice and told me to call back with the model number so they could make sure they had one in stock if need be. I called back on a Friday and the lady that answered told me that he was out, but would call back on Monday. Well, about two to three weeks went by and I did not get a return phone call. In the meantime I had researched other companies and since Brother's had the best quote, I figured I would give them another call. I was told that the girl on the phones was new so she had probably misplaced the message. I was then told they could come out on Friday to fix the fan. (I had called on a Wednesday and was very happy with this time frame) We were told they would be there at 9am, but it was not until my husband called at 10:15am did we find out he was on another call and had lost track of time. He arrived about an hour later and apologized for the delay and was very quick at finding the issue and fixing the fan. We were very happy with the quick work and the coupon we were able to use from Angie's List. I would use them again, but would be happier to do so had the communication been better in our first experience.

In the middle of the winter I had the electric heating system fail in my electrically heated studio. I had work that needed to be finished, and it was too cold to work comfortably. After some quick investigation of the system I determined it was likely a relay in one of the baseboards. I decided I needed an electrician, learned about Brothers Electric on Angie's list, and called. The fellow I talked to spent a lot of time with me on the phone, advised me as to the parts I might need, and agreed to meet me at my studio after I'd picked up the parts. He also took time to call me as I was on the way to pick up the parts with some more information and suggestions. He was waiting for me when I got back to the studio, determined that it was not the relay but that there was a mechanical failure with an electric connection, and fixed it. I watched as he fixed it and was pleased with the craftsmanship he exhibited in the repair. He was a really nice fellow, and I couldn't have been more pleased with him, his work, and the service he provided. Absolutely outstanding! Next time I need an electrician there is no doubt who I'll call.

I called near the end of the day and was told they could be there the next day. They were on time and found the problem quickly. Very nice people to work with.

Would definitely use them again. Scheduler advised that 2-men crew would be cheaper than 1 person at a time. Both were scheduled for next day. Arrived early, and waited in van until time of appointment. I ended up asking them to do more than I had scheduled for. They were very pleasant about it, and efficient.

Called up for appointment. Bob called when he was on his way. He did the dis-connect of garbage disposal and put a new covered switchplate on the wall to replace the on/off switch for disposal. Very punctual and professional. I used the $15.00 off coupon from the Angie's List booklet I got in the mail this month.
