Power was out in my garage. It turned out I just had a blown fuse. The guy was nice and fixed it very quickly, my only complaint is I was billed for a whole hour for only 10-15 minutes of work. Other than that it was fine.

Very prompt, showed up early in 2 hour window. Gave fair estimate prior to doing all work. Did not perform clean up however that may have been to avoid going over 1 hour time limit as not to charge us for an extra hour. Installed new GFI outlet, prior one had been tripping without explanation. Also installed dedicated outlet on it's own circuit for treadmill that would also trip GFI due to overload.

Went great. Jeff and Joe were a little late but communicated the delay so no problems. Very professional, efficient. Analyzed the project quickly, we discussed the plan and they quickly performed the work to my satisfaction. Pretty simple project but the old house gave them some obstacles. Money well-spent.

We had an outlet in our bedroom blow out (loud pop and black marks on the outlet cover) and trip the circuit. We didn't want to turn the circuit back on until we could get an electrician to look at it. Brothers Electic got someone out the same day we called and they fixed that outlet along with the pot light (which wasn't on the original "to do" list) and replaced the standard outlet in our garage with a GFI outlet (this had been on my "to do" list for a long time). The electrician was professional and very helpful in providing information. We would use Brothers Electric for electrical work in the future.

All the work was done promptly and professionally - very high quality. not the cheapest though. you pay for what you get!!!

Before Christmas it became apparent that we needed a new bath exhaust fan. I got on Angie's List and contacted 4 electricians that had very good revues. Brothers was the only one who would actually come to our house to give us an estimate. The others would only give me a quote on the phone (?). Kevin was on time & even gave me the option of repairing the old fan (it would have saved me hundreds!). I opted for a quality replacement. As there was some questions about the duct work Kevin wanted to do some online research before giving me a final quote. He promptly emailed me with answers & a quote. I gave the go ahead & a date was set. On that date, at exactly the right time, a young man was at the door. His name is Zach. He impressed me immediately by recognizing a low voltage switch by the front door. ( A small part of our house is on a low voltage system; when I had a past problem several electricians I called had no idea what I was talking about. It's an old system & it's been my experience that only very knowledgeable electricians know how to work with it.) He started right away & ran into a problem with the duct work. He called Kevin & it was determined that the duct needed to be replaced. It didn't surprise me as what was there was a 20yr old piece of flexible junk! I knew the fan & labor was going to be $450, & I expected the duct to be up to $300, in line with other quotes. Zach took care of contacting their duct man who promised to be here shortly. Zach finished his install, cleaned up as best he could & left. Shortly, a man by the name of Joe showed up & got right to work on the duct. He took a good look & told me $170 to do it. How could I turn that down? The other 3 places told me I was pretty much on my own to find a duct person & to count on about $300. Joe got the job done in short order and has it up to code. Worth every penny!! Any time I ever need any electrical work done I'll be calling Brothers. Why call anyone else whenyou already have an honest, friendly knowledgeable group to help you? The price was right, the work was done right, & on time. Thank you Brothers Electric! By the way, my wife loves how quiet the fan is now!

2 electricians arrived and promptly completed all the work. Very tidy....very pleasant experience.

Last night we lost power to part of the basement apartment. We have had problems in the past but none of typical solutions worked (tripped breaker, reset GFI). I called Brother's this morning and they fit me first thing in the morning before their other jobs. Al came over right away, researched the problem and found a breaker that appeared to be on but actually was not. He replaced that breaker and restored power. I asked for some ideas to add power to the basement since we trip the breakers frequently. He researched options and discussed them with me. The whole job took less than an hour. The total cost was $114, which I thought was very reasonable.

They came when they said they would and repaired the outlets but I never got a written estimate for the lighting projects. I had to call to get an estimate and it took another day or two to get a call back with the numbers. They had computer problems (they told us) but it seemed like they weren't very organized.

I was very pleased and impressed with their work from the moment I asked for an estimate to the moment they were done. They were always on time, had all the tools to install (not a given on small house improvment projects), were neat, polite, knowldedgeble and helpful and were done with what could have taken up to a day in just two hours. They had to cut a new hole in the bathroom wall for the new outlet installation and I was a bit concerned that some of the tile may be damaged: my concerns were completely not justified, the new outlet looks perfect. I wanted a certain specific color of the outlet and ended up buying myself, Brothers were very helpful, told me what the specifications were and I was able to get exactly the look I needed with the technical requirements needed. Overall my bathroom looks so much better and I was extremely pleased with their work and pricing. I would hire them again in a heartbeat for any future electrical work and recommend to anyone thinking about doing any work in their home.

The power went out on a series of outlets in the house. Called up Brothers Electric and they were able to come out that same day. They showed up on time and were very friendly. They diagnosed the problem right away. Turned out to be a short in one of the circuit breakers. They fixed it at a very reasonable cost.

We used the Big Deal to install a light fixture. Showed up on time and got to work right away. Kept me informed of what he was doing, worked quickly and efficiently. Light works great. Was very pleasant, professional, punctual and cleaned up. Strongly recommend.

Little late arriving to the job and work areas weren't cleaned up afterward.

I was moving a ceiling fixture and was unable to reconnect due to corroded wiring. The service repair person was prompt and provided me with a good, cost-effective solution to my problem.

I called Brothers Electric to schedule a time for a representative to come out and give me a quote on the installation of two outdoor electrical boxes. The original quote included installation of a new circuit, but I decided to use the existing circuits. They accommodated my request and provided me with an adjusted quote. Their service was professional from the front desk, to the installer. The work was done by Brian and he was pleasant and proficient from start to finish. He kept me informed of the work as it progressed and he cleaned up the areas upon completion. I would not hesitate to hire the services of Brothers Electric again or to recommend them to family and friends.

The electrician showed us how to modify what we had rather than have an expensive re-wire. This saved us lots of $ and we very much appreciated his willingness to share alternative options vs. just offering an expensive wiring option.

The men called ahead of time to give me an approximate time they would arrive. They arrived on time and we discussed the work to be performed. One worked on the bathroom light while the other worked on the outside light. The kitchen dimmer switch needed a few wired switched. In no time, they had all three fixtures working perfectly. They were very polite, very knowledgeable. They didn't waste time, but finished the projects efficiently. I will call them again in the future.

This was the best electrician I have ever hired. He was outstanding. We were so lucky to have had him do this job. Thank you so very much Mike!!!

The electricians arrived on time and spent the day doing this tricky job. Old wiring had to be removed and re-done to an outbuilding. The breaker box was re-arranged to get the correct circuits. New GFI outlet and overhead lamp were installed, and a switch was also installed from the building to the kitchen of the house. New junction boxes were installed. They spent the time to do it right. They replaced all of our outside lamps and floodlights. Everything was cleaned up after they had finished.

Bob fixed both problems although a part needed to be ordered for the exterior light so there was a week wait for that. The electrical in my home is not the best, and I could tell he was frustrated a bit by the prior owner's strange do it yourself electrical. Overall, Bob did a great job in spite of the difficulties and was even nice enough to screw my exterior light fixture on where it was loose. I would definately hire this company again.Bob was professional, even in spite of a difficult job that was not set up easily. When he left my house, I was happy with the results.

As requested, the electrician (Zach) called 20 minutes before arriving. I explained the outdoor light was not working and suspected a faulty electronic sensor. (There are several other sensors for various lights on the outside of the house.) Zach determined that the previously named sensor was bad. He also determined that it could be disconnected as a second sensor was also connected to the light. He disconnected the inoperative sensor (which we decided to leave in place for cosmetic reasons). He double-tested the light to make sure it would come on with the second sensor, which it did. For future reference, he also helped me figure out which of the additional sensors control which lights.

My daughter asked if I knew an electrician that could do a variety of small jobs around her house. Former owners apparantly made a mess of several DIY electrical projects. I looked up several electricians on Angie's list and sent her two names. She called both and Brothers Electric called her back right away. The following day Bob (I think that was his name), came out to the house and within 20 minutes had fixed the main problem. The previous owner had wired three different rooms behind one light switch in the wall of a spare bedroom. The light in the bedroom didn't work or frequently caused the breaker to flip and power in the bathroom to go out. Since he had to charge them for the full hour he asked to see other problems. Within the hour he had fixed the main job, the bathroom fan, bathroom heated tile and fountain in the backyard. They were incredibly happy with the work and service, and felt they got so much more than they paid for, This is the kind of stuff that drives homeowners crazy because the work is so small that it is hard to get anyone to come by. Brothers was punctual, professional, fast and affordable. Would use them anytime.

We should've done this much earlier this summer when it was so hot!! Brothers sent out an estimator that did a very thorough and professional job giving us two options to choose from. Jeff and Joe called before arriving and performed the installation which required moving wires from the breaker box in the basement to the outside wall, then running the power outside the house to the area below the window where we install the air conditioner. Both Jeff and Joe worked quickly and neatly. A very professional job done at a reasonable price. I would definitely hire Brothers Electric again in the future.

The person who answered the phone said they may be able to to send someone out in the afternoon and that they would call before they came. I called them back at 3:00 asking if someone would be coming as I had not heard from them. I was told no one was able to come but no one had contacted me regarding this. Thank goodness I called or else we would still be waiting. I upgraded my review slightly because someone called me the following Monday asking if I had called on Friday and if someone had come out. That was nice although it speaks to some disorganization of their schedulers. Didn't matter either as I already had someone coming out that day.

Both times I was very pleased with the way the electricians conducted themselves, their explanations of what was to be done and why, and the work that was performed. Today, the electrician didn't have the right color GFCI outlet with him (Ivory), so he suggested I get one from the nearest hardware store, which I did, and he then installed it. It's funny because with another service provider I might have found it quite irritating, but as there's a hardware store about three minutes from my house, it wasn't a big deal. And I certainly preferred getting the GFCI outlet myself to having to have him come back another time or having a different colored GFCI installed.
