Brennan Heikes Professional Painting

From the time I contacted him for a estimate to the conclusion of the job, he and his crew were complete professionals. They started on time, contacted us early before the start of project for the correct paint colors and had a on-time completion. They were in the lower portion of the bids, so they were ultra competitive and his crew was large and very experienced. We have already contacted them for a inside paint job on our house this winter. A total A+++ job.

We contacted Brennan to paint two rooms and patch a sagging spot in the ceiling. We were impressed by his other reviews indicating his responsiveness, professionalism, and personality. The reviews were right - we found him to be quite responsive, very professional, and extremely pleasant. He was quite responsive to our request and quickly scheduled a visit to see the rooms. He provided a bid within 24 hours, and he structured the bid to include each element separately so we could choose the scope that worked best for us - walls, ceiling, and trim. We chose to not include most of the trim since this would have added extensive hours and expense (we have a lot of intricate trim in the two rooms). Brennan confirmed the paint choice and procured the paint himself. He originally thought his team would take two days but they finished in a single day - they were punctual, were very careful moving and covering the furniture, did a high quality job with the painting, and cleaned up thoroughly. Overall we were quite pleased and look forward to working with Brennan and his team in the future.

The preparation of the house was wonderful. The scraping and sanding resulted in a high quality finish when the paint was applied. The paint was brushed on. The crew did a thorough job cleaning up. The house looks wonderful. Brennan and his crew take pride in doing excellent work. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family.

The overall experience was great! We asked Brennan to bid on enameling our second floor. This included baseboard, window trim and 6 panel doors. He answered the phone when I called, showed up promptly for the bid and completed the work on time and on budget. He was easy to work with and cleaned up afterwards. He also was accommodating on a couple of special requests! We will definitely use him again and I have recommended him to my neighbors!

The experience was excellent. I told Brennan I wanted to paint it in early spring or late fall so they wouldn't disturb my garden plants. They came the following week. Brennan gave me the name of a person who helped me with the colors for the trim and that was extremely helpful. The whole job took about three days. Brennan and his crew showed up on time when they said they would and even came on Saturday morning. They spent a considerable time prepping the job: sanding and scraping and then swept up all the scrapings, They also caulked and fixed trim needed it.They were very neat, hard working and polite. They did an excellent job and my house and garage look brand new. Their bid was very competetive. I will definintely use them again and will refer my friends and neighbors to them.

We were on a tight timeline and the weather was a bit of an issue but Brennan was there whenever he could be weather-wise. I got 3 bids, his bid was very reasonable and I trusted him from the beginning to get it done. The yard was always cleaned up each day he worked, he left everything impeccable. I would definitely recommend him.

I called Brennan Heikes Painting on March 28th to request an estimate for painting the exterior of our home. He said he would be in our neighborhood the following Friday or Saturday, and would be able to add us to his schedule. I agreed those days worked on our end, and he said he would call back to confirm the day and time. I kept my schedule open all day those two days but he never called and never showed up. Very unprofessional, and a waste of time.

The job went great! Brennan and his helper methodically worked their way thru the job one room at a time in order to avoid the disrupting the entire house. I was impressed with Brennan's work ethic and attention to detail. The pre-painting preparation was very thorough. All of the woodwork was sanded and patched as necessary and and the walls that had wallpaper on them were skim coated and patched. The paint was applied with care. Upon completion of a room all of the furniture was moved back to where it had been and the pictures on the wall were re-hung. Every room was left in pristine condition when they finished working in it. Brennan and his helper were very easy to work with and very accommodating about changes. They always arrived on time and worked the entire time they were in the house. I am very happy with the work they did.

The crew was prompt, courteous,and very clean with no paint drips or spills. And they were done very quickly. Brennan worked with us to fit us into his schedule late in the season so that newly replaced and unfinished wood would be protected before winter set in. Our home is in south Minneapolis so the trim is nice and wide and we were concerned about the architectural integrity of the home. Brennan was helpful with suggestions for how to improve the overall appearance of the house.

Called Brennan for a bid on dining room, bedroom and staining deck, Brennan came out that same day right on time. I told him what I was looking for in each of the rooms including a three color Viking's color theme in my son's room. Brennan knew exactly the colors the colors that I was looking for and could visualize how the room would turn out. The dinning room had an ugly red accent wall and I wanted the entire dining room repainted to match the color of the other walls. Unfortunately, I was unable to find the color for the other walls and decide to paint the room a different color. I later discovered that the entry had been painted to match the dining room, so that too had to be repainted. Brennan was flexible and secured the paint color that I had decided on. The day of the painting Brennan arrived on time, however, the battery for the garage door opener remote was dead. He offered to pick up one up for me, which was very considerate. Brennan ended up staying until 7 that evening to ensure that the job was completed. The paint job turned out great and all the imperfections were taken care of better than expected. I plan to have Brennan come back this spring/summer to stain the deck.

Great! Brennen and his helpers always do a great job. We have had them out to our house on several occasions for different projects. We have plans for future projects in our home as well, and we will have Brennen back then too. He is very trustworthy, he does great work, is timely and efficient.

Excellent. Brennan was great to work with. He came highly recommended by a good friend and did not disappoint. I called him and he was able to give me an estimate the very next day. The estimate was very reasonable and he took care of everything. The end result was better than I had hoped for and I am very, very glad I had him do the job.

Brennan and his employee painted my daughter's bedroom and bathroom. I contacted Brennan the week prior to him doing the work to get an estimate on cost and to find out how soon he could get the work done. The paint job was a gift for my daughter's birthday so I was on a pretty tight timeline. Brennan was very responsive. I contacted him and he called me back within 5 minutes. We discussed my need and he set an appointement to come out within the next day to take a look at the space. He was on time when he came to give the estimate, and promptly sent me an e-mail within 48 hours with a detailed estimate. I decided to use him and confirmed through e-mail the date and time that would work for me. Brennan e-mailed me back promptly and we were all set. On the day of the work I was going to be away from home so we arranged that he would get the key and start working without me being there. I felt comfortable with Brennan being in my home without my supervision, and he didn't let me down. Once I returned home and reviewed the work it was extremely well done. My daughter's room had been through a lot----he had to remove stickers, cover grafitti and fill in holes. He made the room look beautiful. Brennan's work is great! On top of his great work ethic Brennan is a really nice man, very friendly, personable and really professional. I highly recommend Brennan and would use him again.

I made the appointment on a Sunday because of my busy schedule. He was punctual and caught problems in my living room that I had not even noticed yet. I wanted 3 rooms painted in my condomium before I moved in and he was able to do the job the same week I made the appointment. I did have another bid but his was the cheaper of the two. He gave great feedback when I was undecided between colors to use for the bedroom and living room and that helped me make choices that I was happy with. The rooms look great and I was happy that he was able to work around my schedule.

Brennan was prompt to bid the job. His price was very fair. My regular painter was slow to respond to the invitation, slow to return calls and left me thinking that Brennan was the more professional painter. Each step of the process was highly professional. I had observed Brennan's team paint a neighbor's home and garage last year.This place had gone a long time since it was last painted, and there was much flaking and deterioration of the previous paint job. I was so impressed with the thorough preparation of surfaces. Everyone knows that a good paint job requires meticulous preparation of the surface. Here Brennan's team sanded off all loose paint and optimized the surface to accept and hold fresh paint. They did the same excellent job for us. Breenan is very easy to work with. He is responsive, returns calls promptly, answers his e-mails and keeps his promises. The paint job is beautiful. I am confident due to the quality of surface prep that it will last a long time. Also, the clean-up was flawless. All in all, a satisfying experience.

Brennan's crew did a great job! My house had a pretty rough, peeling paint problem. They did an excellent job in surface prep which is critical to a good paint job. They were pretty busy and started a week or so later than scheduled, but once they started, they stayed on it until done.

Brennan and his crew did an excellent job and I would absolutely hire him again. Our house looks beautiful. From the time of the bid to the end of the job I was pleased. Brennan matched the color of the existing paint perfectly, which was important as there were a couple of areas that didn't need painting (under front and back porch overhangs). There was a lot of sanding and scraping work that needed to be done on the trim and windows and they did a very thorough job. They worked long days and a Saturday to get the job done in a timely manner. Brennan and his crew were extremely professional and personable -- they were even patient and friendly with my three year old daughter when she wanted to chat every time we went in or out of the house. But most imporantly -- my house looks great!

From the first contact with Brennan for the estimate, to the completion of the job, it was an exceptionally positive experience. Brennan is very personable and easy to communicate with, honest, hardworking, caring, and professional. So is his fantastic crew. Brennan was present and working along side them most times, and they all seemed to like one another and have a happy, good energy while working. The entire crew was very thoughtful, courteous, and pleasant, along with being punctual and hardworking. I can't say enough good things about them. The work was well done, with attention to detail, and no corners cut. Brennan went above and beyond our expectations paying special attention to some sun and water damaged shakes, making several trips to find the perfect color match and product, and then taking it upon himself to hand paint the damaged ones with a special stain to match the others. He cared very much about our satisfaction and came back (again, on his own) to fix a small detail. We have already recommended him to several people, and will continue to do so. We plan to use his excellent services again in the Spring with another project. Simply put, Brennan, his crew, and their work is GREAT!

Brennan and his crew were very efficient, friendly, and courteous. Brennan also did little extras such as helping me to carry in a box of groceries. This crew is among the best that I've experienced. And, the house looks great!

Everything went great. I was especially pleased that I didn't have to do any clean up. They left the grounds just as they found them without being asked to do so. The house looks better than when we purchased it 6 years ago and my neighbors have made comments about Brennan was very personal and easy to work with. And even though he owns the business and directs the crew, he was here working alongside his guys pretty much the entire day. Also, everyone seemed to enjoy doing what they were doing. So, that was refreshing as well. I can highly recommend Brennan with the confidence that he always does a good a job. Because he really did seem concerned that I was completely satisfied. He has since followed twice to make sure I didn't have any issues. I will hire him for my future painting projects because of this.

The exterior of our house needed to be dealt with after a few years of neglect. First my husband and I looked into siding, but eventually found that painting would give us more bang for the buck (and we got to keep the wood). As all the searching fell to me, I called Brennan Heike's company early one Friday morning after deciding to paint. The owner answered the phone, which was refreshing....no runaround. Brennan was able to come out that very day and look our house over for an estimate. It was funny, after having many nicely attired salespeople out trying to sell us on siding, here was someone who just stepped off a job site in his paint clothes. I could tell he was a painter and not a salesperson. I mean that in a good way. I was a bit embarrassed how bad the wood looked in some areas, but he gave me hope that he could do wonders for our house. The bid came in at a reasonable price and Mr. Heike even stated that we would not have to pay anything until he was done and we were satisfied. We then decided to go ahead with his company. Communication was mostly by email and that worked fine for me. The job was scheduled very promptly considering how I had wasted most of the summer looking at siding. Now, the task of finding a color was upon me. That was quite difficult and I was still stressing about it the day Brennan came out to start the job! He patiently looked at the colors I had it narrowed down to and helped me to see that I needed to go with the one I felt most excited about. He was kind enough to get a trial gallon and when he painted it on, I knew it was just what I had envisioned. I was in my home the entire time time so was able to see how the job proceeded. As for the crew, everyone was efficient, polite, hard working, and cleaned up every day so the only thing you saw was the paint trailer out front. I never heard any grumbling and especially liked to hear one of the men laughing. Not sure who that was, but it always made me smile to hear him. I did not expect so much from just an exterior paint job. They scraped and sanded for a good long time! Our house had more bare wood in some areas than old paint and all that was primed first before the paint was applied. They all worked so hard, especially that last day when it was so hot. And Brennan was always there giving direction, but he also painted too. He's definitely a hands-on kind of boss. As for how the job went specifically, at one point I asked Brennan about impending rain and how that would affect the painting. He assured me that they would not rush through the job, but do it right (it ended up taking part of a day for power washing, part of a day because of rain, and then 2 long solid days). In addition, I wanted to change the color of the eaves (or soffit), but didn't decide on that until after the paint was bought! He was very adaptable and gave me no trouble at all about doing this. I also really liked that they did some spot fixing of the wood that was rotted; that made a huge difference in how it all turned out. Our house now looks amazing and I feel the paint will last for some time to come. I also know that if I see something that I would like attended to, Brennan would be out here in a flash (and has offered to do just that). When it does come time to paint our house again, I won't need to look for a painter, I will just call Mr. Heike and his crew. I've already spoken with him about some nasty interior paint that I would love to change. Might be a good spring project. :-)

I didn't have any services from him. The price included all paints, equipment, materials and labor. He quoted $5,200 and subtracted $500 for being an Angie's List member. He broke everything down with bullet points. He seemed very detailed and he was very punctual. He definitely followed up numerous times to get the work.

Overall, it was an excellent and positive experience. We highly recommend Brennan Heikes Professional Painting.
