Description of Work: We have used Brack’s Handyman Service. He did minor household repairs. He had to do the sump pump in terms of the hosing that got bad; he had to replace that. He had to level the post floor of the sun porch, and hanged some pictures. Some of the rooms have very high ceiling. He did a number of things.

Description of Work: Rick recently completed two tasks in my home. He fixed the leak in my downstairs bathroom sink by changing out that u-shaped drain pipe. He also saw a problem that I had not even asked about and volunteered to fix that, too. It appears that the actual sink was not attached to the bathroom counter; rather, it was simply held up by balancing it on the pipes below the sink. Rick told me that he would fix the sink so that it was attached to the countertop thus taking stress off the pipes. On that visit, I also had him to unclogged my laundry drain tubs. Both jobs were completed with skill and expertise. I called him to see whether he could handle the jobs on a Monday when he was booked up, but he was able to come out early Tuesday morning. He was able to handle both jobs professionally and he cleaned up after himself, too. I hire Rick whenever I need work done in the house that I am not able or unwilling to do myself. I call him back because he is a very smart problem solver and his work is meticulous and is high quality work of which he should be proud. If he is not able to do a specific type of work, he will refer you to other contractors with expertise in the area. I have accepted two of his recommendations and have been extremely pleased with the jobs. Rick has done a variety of work for me and for another family member of mine, who originally recommended him to me. Examples of the work is cleaning gutters, installing a light fixture, and the carpentry work he did in my kitchen. My home is 50 years old with beautiful hard woodwork throughout. When I was updating the kitchen, I wanted to keep the original cabinetry, but my new build-in (set-in) stove was too tall to fit into the space that the old stove occupied. This presented a problem because I needed to have the box that the stove sat on cut down so that the stove could drop down and the cooking surface could be flush with the new kitchen counter. But I needed the integrity of the cabinetry maintained. Rick's work was perfectly measured and was completed so neatly that when he finished, the cabinet work looked like the original. The new stove fit perfectly in the space.

Description of Work: Bathroom sink drain not draining correctly. Rick explained what he thought when I explained my problem. Before he started the work he told me what needs to be done. He did the work. It was a part under sink that needed adjusting.. Checked drain and found hair and couple of screws in there..(probably from the apt conversion 7 yrs ago). Rick was very professional on every step of his work. .
