Bloomington Carpet One

This is the third time I've purchased flooring from Lyn Redding at Bloomington Carpet One. I was so happy with the work done on my townhouse laundry room 5 years ago and my tiny condo laundry room in 2013 that I went back to Lyn when I was ready to purchase hardwood flooring. I talked with Lyn about what I was looking for and took home a couple of samples to see if I could match the existing red oak in my kitchen. I found a very close match and Lyn came out to measure. As soon as the wood and soundproofing pad arrived, we scheduled an installation date. On the first day of installation, Duane and his crew, Josh and Tyler arrived on time and unloaded the products and equipment. Because I live in a condo, it required many trips through the garage and up the elevator. Never a complaint. The 8 ft. boards were too long to cut on the balcony so they had to cover my furniture with plastic and seal off the kitchen to contain the dust. They also had to use a jackhammer to get up the ceramic tile, no small job. At the end of the day, the cleaned up my living area, the condo hallway, elevator and garage. Our maintenance man loved them! They originally thought the job would take at least two full days but they were done by 1:00 on the second day. They swept up all the dust and dirt on the floors and even dusted the furniture as they put it back in place. After they took out all their equipment, they again cleaned after themselves in the condo common areas. The floors looked even better than I imagined. In addition, Duane was very outgoing and upbeat even when things didn't go quite as planned. He was very accommodating to me and the needs of condo living. I couldn't have been happier with the process and the outcome. After the crew left, I noticed that there were two small gaps in the threshold area between the kitchen and the entry. I didn't like the way it looked and took photos the next day to Lyn at Carpet One. He showed them to the Installation Manager, who then called me to schedule a time for the crew to fix it. Duane and one of his men came back, cheerful as ever, and repaired it to my satisfaction. I cannot say enough about how happy I am with Lyn's assistance through the entire process and with Duane and his crew. It's hard to have someone working in your home for two days, but Duane made it as easy as possible. If you need flooring, give Lyn a call and ask to have Duane do the installation. I plan to recarpet the bedrooms within the next year and I wouldn't have anyone else do the job.

Top quality carpet installed on the day that I wanted it done in less than a day.? Salesman and installers were great to work with.? We have used them before and will use them again.

This is our second time using the Bloomington Carpet one.? They have been great working with us and great at helping us get the most for our budget, spending time going through the different options we could afford.? Since it is hard to coordinate my husbands and my schedule together I made a couple of trips to go through the different options we could afford.? Then I brought my husband in, each time we had different sales associates but they had kept notes on my visits of what I liked and what I was looking at, so when I went in with my husband it was easy to narrow down to a few choices. I think we even ended up going with something completely different but they were so patient and excited about getting our needs met.? It was a wonderful experience from working with the store manager, the sales associates, to the installers.? All did great work!

I will definitely hire them again – this is the second time we have used them.

The workmen arrived on time and got busy immediately. We have a group home, so they had to work around 16 people coming and going, which they did with no complaints. When they finished, they cleaned everything up so there was no trace of work having been done, except for the clean new carpet.

They were recommended to me by my broker. They were very professional. The guy who came out and provided the estimate for me was top rate! We were able to do everything through email because I was out of state. He completed the work just as promised and took the payment after so that I didn’t have to pay anything up front. I had shopped around and their price was good. They did exactly what they said they were going to do at a good price and on time.

We chose them as they were recommended to us. Scott was the salesperson that we dealt with. He and the installers were amazing! The job took two days and they completed the work quickly. We liked their price and their efficiency. The work was fantastic!

We stopped in Carpet One Bloomington and was greeted by Matt. He was very helpful in our selection of carpet. Carpet One came out and measured the entire house for new carpet. We paid for the added service for furniture to be moved and old carpet disposal. The installers showed up at time agreed on and did and excellent job. They worked non-stop and were very professional. At end of day the carpet was vacuumed and everything cleaned up and furniture put back in place. We were very happy with the service from Matt in sales to the final installation and clean up. I definitely recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again but since we carpeted the whole house it will be awhile before we need new carpet.

The whole experience was great. We visited the show room in Bloomington and we looked at several carpets. Matt showed us carpets on special once he understood what we were looking for and we found a much higher-quality carpet on sale in the same price range we wanted. We took home a carpet sample board to pick the colors that looked good. The measurements were scheduled 2 days later which was quick and simple. About 2 days later we were given a quote and placed our order. Carpet was in about 10 days later and we were able to schedule the install for the following week. It was a big job, but they were able to do it all in a very long day. The team was very professional and really took great care of our belongings. They moved all of the furniture and put it all right back where it belonged. Carpet looks great and we have had no quality issues so far. I would definitely call Carpet One again if I had a need though I don't see replacing this carpet any time soon!

We have been using their services for about 8 years and every time it has been terrific. The work was perfect! Their seams were perfect and you couldn’t tell where they joined. They were very tidy and vacuumed when were done.

I am enjoying my carpeting. However, I was disappointed in how it went down. Thankfully, I was standing there watching them. When the installers came over to remove the existing carpeting and padding, there were no problems. Then, they started to do the cleanup and swept the new floor. When they started to lay the padding, I saw that it was the cheap pad and not the premium one I ordered and paid for. I had to wait four hours for them to figure out what the problem was and pick up the correct padding. Because of this issue, I missed a family event and I was very upset. I never received any apology for the troubles. The carpet I ordered was very premium and feels wonderful. However, what they failed to do was explain all of the details about the carpeting. It is a frieze type which is a longer yarn and there is really no vacuum that works with this type of carpet. When I was in their showroom choosing out the carpet, they didn?t explain any of this information to me. The gentleman I worked with had been in the business for over twenty years and he didn?t provide the type of counseling and information for me to choose the best carpeting. I will not be going back to Carpet One for my next carpeting purchase.

The carpet was initially installed late Oct., however we noticed a small area where the carpet fibers were coming out of the carpet. The installation manager came to look and felt that perhaps there had been moisture in that area during shipment from the factory, and that moisture had a negative effect on the glue that was used in making the carpet.. He offered a patch or replacement of the carpet.. We chose the patch as the area was out of the traffic area and somewhat close to a wall. The carpet layers returned Nov. 6th and patched the area, but again it didn't seem quite right to us so we called again and the installation manager came again, He spent time working with the area, and determined that the area in question was larger than previously thought, perhaps a bad roll. He offered to have the carpet layers come again ;in a day or two but our schedule was busy and we needed that room over Thanksgiving for out of town guests so decided on Mon. Nov. 26 for the new install. The new carpet was installed, no problems, the installers asked about anything specific we may want/need which we pointed out. All work was very well done, clean and appropriate. the Carpet is great. Very pleased with the quality of carpet, installation, attention to detail and willingness to work with us, the customer. I'd use them anytime.

The entire process from waling in the showroom, through carpet selection and installation was an exceptionally good experience. I did alot of comparison shopping between a few local vendors and settled on Bloomington Carpet One. The sales rep, Shelly Brown, was excellent (and I am very picky!). She was not pushy and answered my many and frequent questions. She assisted in selecting a fabric and range of color schemes that would work well for a high traffic area. We wanted cost effective but good carpeting that would last a good 20+ years. Shelly came over several times. She measured and sketched the area then revised it in order to minimize seams and save on carpeting costs. At my request she emailed a picture of the layout with all the dimensions and locations of where the seams would be. The installation went great. The two men were very efficient and friendly. Sorry I cannot remember their names because I would recommend them in a heartbeat. The man in charge explained their process. After the installation Shelly arranged to stop by and see the finished product. I told her I felt there were a few uneven spots in 2 bedrooms. She arranged to have the installers return and re-do those areas, which they did quickly, efficiently and with the same positive and friendly attitude. The installer indicated several times that our satisfaction was very important and if anything was amiss to let them know immediately as they would be happy to correct it. In my 30+ years as a homeowner this company stands out. They talked about wanting customers to be satisfied and backed up their claim. I was extremely impressed and very satisfied. I would definitely go with them again.

Upon the first time I walked into Carpet One in Bloomington, the salesperson was on the phone and did not even acknowledge me. After about 10 min, another person came over to help me. He was not a salesperson and was actually very informative. When the salesperson finally got off the phone, I picked out what needed and took my samples. He did not seem his products very well. When I called back to schedule a time to come out and measure, he never returned my call twice. Then when I scheduled the appt the first time, I called to confirm and they had nothing on their books? When I re-scheduled they never showed. When I called to talk to the salesperson, he was not in again and did not return my calls. I finally reached someone who said they would be there in 10 min, after 30 min called back and was told it was going to be an hour. I refused to do business any further at that point with all the time I had wasted and the terrible customer service.

Great experience from the time I visited the showroom to the installation. I worked with Shellie, and she gave me lots of different options and helped me pick out the best carpet for my family's needs. She came out for an estimate as well as two additional visits to assist with color selection. I felt that she really cared about making sure I made the best choice. They were very flexible with install dates, as I needed to reschedule two times. Installation was thorough, and someone came out to check the quality a week later. Shellie was very responsive and exceeded my expectations. We will use them again for future re-carpeting needs.

The overall experience was great from start to finish.? We originally met with Shelly and she took the time to review the various types of carpet they sell as well as explain the various price points.? She was extremely helpful and very patient with us as we looked at so many samples.? Once we decided on a few styles, she arranged to have samples sent directly to our home.? After having seen the samples, Shelly came to our home to take measurements and help guide us in terms of color choices. We ordered the carpet and it was ready for install within?a week.? We decided to save some money by removing the old carpet and pad ourselves but the installers took care of disposing of it.? We actually had the carpet installed on two different occasions due to the availability of the second piece of carpet.? Both sets of installers arrived on time and completed the installation within the expected time frame.? They were very professional, did a great install job, and left everything very clean afterwards. Following the installation, Shelly called us to ensure that everything went well and that we were happy with the new carpet.? We are happy to say that the new carpet looks great and are very glad that we decided to purchase it from Carpet One.? We would gladly use Carpet One again in the future!
