+ -1 moreThey arrived when they stated they would and got the job done quickly and efficiently. The only concern I would have if I use them regularly is that they used equipment that was overkill for the size of my yard which left parts of the grass torn. I was relieved to get the job done so quickly and hassle-free.
Description of Work: I moved into a new home, didn't own a lawn mower, the grass had been left unmoved for several weeks. I called Big Back Yard to ask for a one time service.

+ -1 moreWe started using Big Back Yard last year for weed control and fertilization. The difference in our lawn is remarkable. The previous owners had neglected it and the grass was being taken over by weeds. Since Big Back Yard started treating it the grass has made a terrific comeback and the lawn looks 100% better. And the price is reasonable.
Description of Work: We are using them for on-going lawn maintenance - fertilization and weed control.

Description of Work: We have Mark do a Fall clean up for us almost every year. I really like Mark and trust him. He is very dependable and I believe is honest and professional. He also manages to wait till the last day or two before the snow flies - which I really appreciate - and don't know how we manages to service all his clients in those last few days! We've had him do additional jobs over the years and he has been on the pricey end for some things - but I don't mind paying for quality and professionalism.

+ -1 morePretty good overall - works quickly, a little pricey but he's there himself getting his hands dirty!
Description of Work: We've had Mark and his crew perform Spring and Fall clean ups the past several years plus 2 years worth of mowing our yard weekly. I like Mark alot - he seems straight, consciencious and reliable. We had a problem when he hired some kids to do the work one time and they pullled up plants instead of weeds! We've had him do various jobs over the years and I think his prices are slightly on the high end but it's important to be able to trust someone - so there is a pricetag on that.

+ -1 moreThe service has always been reliable in years past and they have always gotten the snow plowed before people have to get to work or come home. With the sharp increase in price this year our neighborhood has opted for the lesser service, so I hope that we will have the same reliable service as in years past.
Description of Work: The 20 neighbors that share our alley have used Big Backyard for a number of years to have the alley plowed. In years past the service agreement has been to plow before 7:00 a.m. and before 4:00 p.m. after 2" snowfalls. Last year that service was $360 (approximately $20 per household), but this year the cost has increased to $700.00 (which would be $35 per household) for that same level of service which works out to almost a 60% increase. They are offering an alternative service this year at $405 to plow after the snow ends for accumulations of 2" of snow (although they will plow halfway through if more than 6" of snow falls).
