Paul and his team were GREAT! I truly enjoyed my experience. Paul worked with me as I traveled abroad and was very understanding of my schedule. He truly partnered with me as I asked his expert opinion on the project and he gave it to me without trying to take advantage of someone without a green thumb. He suggested cost efficient methods to achieve what I wanted. His advice was spot on!!! My yard was certainly transformed by the work performed and I still get compliments on how my yard looks. When I had questions or concerns, Paul contacted me right away which I greatly appreciated.

They installed 2 rows of plants in the front, and 1 row of plants on the side. It was an extensive project and they were able to do the job in one dau.

The experience was pleasant, polite and done exactly to plan. Paul had great suggestions and they all turned out wonderful. The crew was punctual and cleaned up after the work was done. The company was responsive and did work as promised. We had a great experience. I know I got a great value because another landscaper bid over $1,000 more for practically the same plan. I felt I could trust Paul more than the other bidder, which was totally right. I made the better choice to go with Better Yards and Gardens. Even though they are located in Elk River, where the nursery is, they work here in the Twin Cities - not an issue at all. I will use this company again in the future.

Paul was prompt in quoting the job and was much lower than the other two companies. Because it was a relatively small job, I had to wait for him to fit it into his schedule, and that was OK with me. His crew pulled out the bushes with a tractor, broke up the cement in the ponds and the kennel floor, and sodded in the pond and kennel areas. He hauled everything away, including an old split rail fence that we had dismantled.

Paul listened to our needs. We were looking for a cost effective solution to encourage water to drain away from our home. Paul made use of an older timber retaining wall. Although the wall was older, it was in good shape. Paul provided an estimate that including keeping the wall and another estimate for replacing the wall. Paul was patient as I took 2 months to finalize the project and actually hire him. He returned multiple calls for me to clarify and adjust the scope of the work. Paul did provide the lowest priced bid and most flexible. I liked the fact that they own a store so you know where to find them in the future if you need warranty work. I also liked that Paul (the owner) is part of the crew that does the work.

Very nice, though I am a picky client and was not able to hire. Not a good fit due to differing ideas on procedures and plant knowledge.

While they were here, I asked Paul if they could do a couple more things (that weren't on the original work plan), and he generously agreed to. The guys did a great job and my yard looked 100% better when they were done. A little while after they left, I noticed that the sod that was put down had an angle to it so that my lawn mower would tip into the chain-link fence at the edge of it. I also noticed a couple of the front steps were "tippy". I called Paul and told him about the issues, and told him I was moving in a week. He got someone out to fix both problems before I left. Paul was helpful in giving me suggestions regarding options. His plan was not over done which provided a neat, well manicured looking yard. It should be easy to maintain.

It went wonderfully. They were excellent to work with. They had the work done in three days. They were always on time and very helpful. They were able to use my existing perennials in the landscaping.

They were able to do the work very soon after giving us an estimate. Paul called to let us know they would be coming, and also followed up to make sure we were satisfied with the work. Everything looks wonderful, they did a great job! This is our second time using this company, we were very satisfied with the work they did for us last spring also.

Paul came out to review the area & talk about what we wanted to do & then wrote up the estimate within a few days; then we met with Jessica to review the estimate & plan. They were very understanding when I wanted to make changes to reduce our cost. We were told the job would be completed in approximately 2 weeks; it took a few days longer than that & there was a miscommunication as to what number to call when they were ready to start. The first day they could have done the job they apparently called the house & wanted me to call back; I was at work & didn't find out until hours later so they went to a different job site that day. Rain also dictated when the work could be done. The job was completed in less than a day, we came home from work & found a newly landscaped area in place. The crew left a couple of tools next to our driveway, which I returned when I dropped off the payment a few days after completion of the work.

Not well. They did not honor a phone commitment to return our call.

I was very impressed with the work Paul and his crew did. Paul called me right back and came out a couple of days later and we discussed what I was looking to do. He had a couple of very good suggestions, such as putting the patio out front. He came back about a week later with a well detailed plan showing everything they would do, including the types of plants with the prices. They came out to start the work 3 weeks later on a Wednesday and were done with everything in three days. The crew was very professional and polite to me and my family and answered any questions I had. They cleaned up every night and warned me of areas to be careful of so no one got hurt. They installed a circle within the paver patio that looks great and everyone is very impressed by it. They know what they are doing!

I called and ordered dirt to be delivered one week prior to when we would be ready for it. The dirt was delivered on the day we requested earlier than we expected, which worked out great. It was used to fill in areas of our yard that needed to be repaired from having a sprinkler system installed by another company. We were happy with the quality of the dirt.

I started in the yellow pages-a couple people never called back. Finally I talked to Jessica at Better Yards & Gardens. She came out with in days and gave us an estimate on a couple different ideas. She was very patient with the changes and always was happy to adjust as I changed my mind. I explained to her the idea I had with the fence/tree sections and I could tell she knew what i was talking about. I explained that I needed this job done before June 9th since we were having a grad party. She said that they could fit it in. Just as scheduled the posts were dug and set-then the next day everything was completed right on schedule. Everyone at the party loved it!!
