contact was swift, he was very flexible in scheduling even though i had time constraints and he helped me get it done before the deadline. he worked so fast, got the job done in under an hour, and the wall looks fantastic. will call again if i need anything.

The wall looks great. You can't even tell the new wall to the other original walls--the pattern is that close. Garth took the time to practice and figure out how the original plasterer did the walls. Garth came out himself and worked alone. While talking to him, you could tell he is so passionate about his work. I would definitely recommend him!!

We had someone else scheduled to do the work who was referred to us by a paint store.. When the day came he didn't show up. My husband called him on his cell, and he was still in Florida. He said he'd be here the next day after a morning Dr appt. We fired him and joined Angies List. Best Plaster had several positive recommendations and we were very glad we chose him. Also, his bid was $300 less than the original person.

From the estimate process to the final clean up this was an outstanding experience. Garth is very knowledgeable and asks the right kinds of questions and presents intelligent alternatives. Although I did not seek bids from other contractors, I have had similar work done in the past and am confident that Best Plaster & Drywall is competitive -- especially given the quality and service they provide. They arrived as promised, worked incredibly quickly and with great results, cleaned up every day and were nice to my dogs. I would have Garth and his crew back anytime in future.

Garth and Seth were friendly and professional, and did a fantastic job. There were some larger holes and some smaller in the boxed ceiling in the living room and the ceiling in the upstairs hall. There was a mistake with the placement of the new light fixture in the stairwell, so we had a large hole in that ceiling too, about 8 inches from the new fixture. There were two holes in the living room walls where the switches for the track lights had been removed. Garth did a beautiful job making the repairs and matching the texture to our less-than-smooth old walls and ceilings. We had the walls and ceilings painted a year ago, and Garth made sure to match the paint exactly. Seth did most of the painting and did a fantastic job. We were especially pleased that he was able to touch up the paint on the walls instead of having to paint the entire wall, which saved us a bit of money. The texture and sheen are perfect. We had been told by other contractors that it would be hard to touch up the satin finish, but Seth did it. One of the best things about the experience was Garth and Seth's respect for us and our home. We have had difficulties in the past getting contractors to take our concerns about dust seriously and to clean up after themselves properly. Garth discussed the repair/painting process with us, including how they would prep the area and clean up afterwards, and addressed all of our concerns about minimizing the dust created from sanding the plaster repairs. We moved our furniture out of their way, and they used plastic and tape to keep as much of the dust as possible off of the floors, walls, radiators and woodwork. They covered our smoke detectors and light fixture. They did a great job cleaning up too! I couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience.

Garth did a great job on the plaster work and painting. He was very efficient and completed all of the work within only a few days.

Water from a leaking roof damaged the plaster wall and ceiling, I called Garth thru Angies List and hired him to do the work, He was punctual, efficient and a true professional. You cant tell that the wall was ever damaged when he finished. I also had him paint the room ceiling, it was in pretty rough shape because the textured ceiling had never been painted. Instead of slapping on a couple of coats of paint, Garth kept at it until he was satisifed with his work, a real perfectionist I can relate too. I would recommend him to anyone. He will be the only person I'll hire for this type of work should the need arise.

The former owners of my home painted the exterior with the incorrect type of paint. This caused the paint to peel off in large layers. Garth and his crew scraped, sanded, and repainted the entire exterior of the the house. The work was excellent and completed in the estimated time. They also fixed some additional cracks in the stucco near the foundation at no charge and and returned a week later to paint the patched areas. I would definately use this company again.

Wonderful. Garth was everything you'd expect - prompt, courteous, professional and, yes, clean! The room looks amazing. Over the years the room had been wallpaper 4 times, wainscoting had been applied and riped off, final the entire room had been covered in a plywood to give the effect of wood paneling. When we ripped off that there were glue globs, nail holes, loose plaster, etc. What a mess. We'd been putting off tackling the room because we didn't know how to fix it. Another friend had had "shim coating" done to their kitchen and the light bulb went on. I didn't know you could do that. Great. I got one other bid besides Garth's and he was twice as much. We definitely had a budget and Garth's price fit that. Garth is a sole proprietor and I like that. I like to know who owns the company and who's going to do the work. I do use larger companies, don't get me wrong. But, small companies are good to support too. I hired Garth with only one online posting so I knew I was taking a chance. I loved the fact that the other person had used Garth over several years. NOW, I plan to do the same. We purchased a semi-fixer upper and there are several rooms left to do. Garth has already given us a bid for some work in one of our bathrooms (plaster work and framing in a faux ceiling since we are installing a ceiling fan and the house joists run the wrong direction and we can't vent up). We hoped to get started on that this August/September. Garth really is an outstanding person and does superb work. You can not tell looking at the walls that they weren't original to the house.

I have utilized Best Plaster & Drywall for 7 repair and remodeling jobs at my home over the past 20 years. Garth is dependable, reasonable in cost, and his finished product has always pleased my wife and I.
