The receptionist is really nice. They are professional, clean, and knowledgeable. I call them occasionally and ask questions about repairs, and they always give me good and honest feedback about what I need to do.

Luke did a great job working in very tight quarters under the kitchen sink. The work was performed very professionally and timely on a Saturday and the labor cost was the regular rate and not a weekend rate. I have some additional projects planned and definitely will call Barnes Plumbing for the work.

Mike arrived right on time and began working immediately. What appeared to be an easy fix was not as simple as we thought. The kitchen sink had been draining slowly for a while. He snaked the drain for a full hour (and 35 feet!), but couldn't find the clog. After discussing the situation (the pipe runs under the concrete slab in the basement), Mike gave me very clear options. He could go get a bigger snake and keep trying or re-route the pipe. We decided to re-route the pipe and he did a nice job. He sealed off the other pipe and you would hardly know it was even there. Then, he replaced the tub spigot. Parts & Labor were a total of $500. I was hoping for less, but the job was a much bigger one than I had thought and was very well handled and professionally completed.

Service was wonderful starting from the moment I placed the call to their offices to the moment the plumber left my home. The receptionist on the phone was giving us ideas on how to fix the garbage disposal ourselves, but those ideas, unfortunately didn't work. Our problem was much bigger (disposal rusted up). I would recommend this company to everyone, and will use them for any work that we may need in the future.

It only took 10 minutes to resolve the kitchen sink problem, so since there is a charge for the entire hour, I asked Luke if he could look at 2 other problems. He resolved a leaky bathroom sink, a plugged laundry tub and a getting plugged up bathroom tub all within one hour! I was so glad for his honest advice and he even gave me some enzymatic drain cleaner free of charge. Would definitely use again, and I got three or 4 things done in one hour!

This report covers two separate calls about a week apart. Both went very well. Scheduling was easy; the plumber, Zach, arrived in the middle of the estimated time frame in the first case and called, as requested, just before arriving the second time. The calls were unrelated, we're just having a bad run of plumbing issues. The plumber who came both times worked quickly but methodically, and even gave me a tip for avoiding the leak on the shut-off valve in the future. The "pleasantness" factor alone would be reason to use this plumber again. Quality of work and cost enable us to recommend them with no reservations.

Employee "Chris" was fast, efficient and very pleasant. We were very pleased that all estimated work and additional items came in at estimated price. Company was forthcoming regarding the mark up on water heater and toilet. Company was transparent regarding all questions. I have all ready recommended company to two other individuals.

Emailed them via the address on their website, as I had many little issues to deal with or look at, twas easier to talk about after the salesperson had a chance to digest. They replied within 1 day with a phone call. Talked to Jeff (one of the owners), was really nice, was willing to talk through each issue, afterwords suggesting a plumber come out as it should only take an hour or two. Estimated arrival was to be between 8 and 9AM, depending on drive time. Chris showed around 8:40. Was one of the nicest and most professional workers I've dealt with, looked at each issue and helped where he could. Suggested replacing the supports/clamps on the pipe coming from the hot water heater, to alleviate some recent pipe noises we think are occurring. (Pipe was originally flush up against the beams of the ceiling). Not sure if it's the 'fix' for the original reason but he recommended it as a good practice in general. Suggested completely replacing a pipe with a leaky elbow. Roughly quoted the cost (material) beforehand, making sure I was OK with it, and did the work quickly and efficiently. While flushing the valves of air, solved a water pressure issue in the sink. Otherwise he looked at the other issues, gave me an idea what was going on even though it wasn't plumbing-related. Overall I am extremely pleased. Chris was top-notch and from the initial call to the final work, everything was done quickly, efficiently and without hassle. Which is nice when dealing with workers coming into your home. Oh, and he cleaned up everything when he left. Price was spot on, I like that they do time/materials pricing. You pay $150 initially ($30 truck/drive fee + $120 for the first hour), then $120/hr labor, plus any materials of course. But as I alluded to they get the work done quickly to minimize cost. And they had an Angie's List coupon (note the cost I listed is the total cost without a coupon). Definitely using these guys again!

Zack did a great job fixing all the previous owners work on the bathroom. He also showed me what to do each year for maintenance. He also pointed out other things around my basement that would need to be fixed at some point (dryer, gas line, water heater venting). Once he got the floor dug up, he noticed I had to replace the waste line so the price was a bit more than the est.

I called to have someone come out for an estimate on new fixtures and remodeling. I was called back by Jeff? (I think he is an owner) He said he'd come out that day in the afternoon. He said he would call me first. I left work early to be home when he called. He never called. He never showed up. I haven't heard from him. It's been a week.

I found Barnes plumbing through Angie's and I am glad that I did. I had forgotten to tell them about the two faucets until the morning of the day that they were coming, but they were very accommodating. Arrived a little later than I was expecting, but from there on everything was terrific. Very efficient, competent, polite and cleaned up everything too. It was a very good experience. I would definitely use them again.

Jeff Barnes came out to estimate the work. While he was here, I also showed him that my laundry tube was vented by an air admittance valve (a code violation in MN), and asked him for a quote for that as well. Jeff encouraged me to have that work done as it would be relatively cheap while my kitchen walls were open. His quote came in significantly lower than the other two plumbers I contacted, and while that made me nervous, I went with them based on reports from Angie's list. Zach came out and did all the work very professionally. He answered all of my questions and worked very efficiently. I discovered while Zach was here that they do gas piping as well, so I asked him to move a pipe for my gas range with his assurance that it was cheap to do. Zach made sure the fridge and dishwasher hookup would be easy to work with while I installed the cabinets. He made sure to clean up after himself; he left my home as clean as when he showed up. Jeff followed up with a phone call, and he asked if Zach replaced my kitchen sink drain. I said no, and he suggested that Zach come back to do that. That took very little time, and again Zach left the place like he found it.

Jeff was supposed to arrive early morning, he called at noon to see if 2:00 would work. He ended up coming after 4:30. It wasn't a problem since we were home anyway. I told him what I need done to pass inspection and listed out additional work, but said it's OK to only do what I need now and do the rest when funds are available. I scheduled the work to be done 10/9.

They were great to work with. I was very impressed with the quality of work they performed and how friendly they were to the residents. I would recommend them to anyone.

Joel was professional, prompt & courteous! After coming over for the estimate he was back 2 days later to do the work, it was nice not having to wait weeks before work could be started. His work went over his estimated time and cost but was very fair with pricing and helpful when we discovered the faucet we bought was defective. He did excellent work and was a pleasure to work with, would definitely hire again!

Work was done within expected timeframe. Total came in above estimate but was due to extra labor not anticipated. Workers were professional and very clean. A few minor issues due to unclear communication between the guy who did the estimate and the on site workers were resolved.

it was a good experience. I like that they were quick to call back and come out. I basically liked everything about their work. The guy was helpful, knowledgeable and had suggestions for future. He could have tried to sell more services but didn't. He was very honest.

EXCELLENT. "Joe" was very clear about pricing, also provided an estimate for potential unknowns for time to complete the work and possibly extra parts costs that could come up. Even though it was 2:00 in the afternoon on a Friday, he adjusted his schedule to meet mine and completed the 8 hours of work required. His focus was on quality and completeness and I trusted him with my needs. Again, an excellent job done. Also, the customer service person when making the initial call was so friendly and trustworthy. She even provided a good estimate over the phone as the probable job cost, which was very close to the actual cost!! She was wonderful! Overall, BEST experience with a contractor of any kind I have used in the past 20 years!! High integrity, quality performance, at a great price.

We needed an emergency after hours fix as our main shut-off valve was leaking. Joe responded immediately and asked us about it over the phone. After listening to the issue, he clearly out our options before making the trip, trying to help us make the best decision possible. Once here, he resolved the situation with the main shut off. He also was willing to take a look at a leaky faucet and make recommendations on what to do about a faulty outside spigot. I can't say enough about Joe and the service he provided. He could have just come over when we called him, but before coming he laid out our options to possibly help us avoid another trip. He was very patient and willing to explain what he did and why it was done. He is clearly trustworthy and will definitely be calling Barnes again; hopefully we can request Joe in the future.

They came on time. They were very nice and cleaned up after themselves. They were very professional and polite. It was great. They did their job. Their estimate was very accurate.

From start to finish, they did what they promised. Zack arrived on time; was very professional and courteous. I was surprised that he did everything himself. The water heater was delivered and Zack was finished within 3.5 hours! He was very vigilant about making sure he was tidy and left the area he was working in clean - wouldn't have known he was there except he left a shiny new water heater in place of my 19 year old one! He also explained the paperwork and scheduled for the city inspector to arrive the next day.

Called before coming. Arrived on time, pleasant and courteous, did the work, was exceptionally neat and cleaned up thoroughly.

The house was completely redone in a day and a half. After the first day, the bathroom was entirely finished and in working order. Warren returned on time the second day and finished the rest of the house by 11:30. He had even rerouted the ice maker correctly (my father had jerry rigged it when visiting without the proper tools) without my asking for it. In addition, Warren was very polite, very respectful of me and left my house clean and free of debris. All my appliances work perfectly; I couldn't be more delighted. I would definitely use this company again.
