Was given time a two hour time frame but received a call about 45 min before the start of that period notifying me that there was a potential of being late due to a previous call that was more complex than thought. I was glad to be notified but it actually worked out that he wa able to get there within the timeframe. Addressed the leaking toilet with a very simple solution and was willing tolook ata dripping tub faucet. was able to address it almost completely but showed me what a good long term resolution that I might want to consider and how much time and $$ it would be. Very professional and polite. Would use again.

These guys are the Greatest! I have no complaints at all. They installed a new boiler in my house, replacing a unit that's been there since the mid-1960's. They arrived on time, did the job, cleaned up after themselves and did it all for $1,000 less then the nearest competitor. I'm thoroughly impressed and can't say enough good things about these guys. I'd use them again in a heartbeat! Thank you for the outstanding work!!

I've had Barnes out multiple times and have been very please every time. They are very prompt and their work is excellent. I can't say how they compare to others in price but I've always felt like that the work performed warranted the price paid.

Needed a new dishwasher installed - on first visit could not do work because I also needed a licensed electrician. After that work was completed Barnes returned to complete work. On first visit installed new kitchen faucet. Steve took his time to explain why I could not install the sink I purchased (would require tearing out walls and cabinets to replumb) and really discouraged me from replacing with another shallow sink since this one is in good condition. Dishwasher installation was very difficult because of the old house and shallow countertops. He explained the problems as he encountered them and always talked to me about solutions before proceeding.

Brian was great. He arrived on time and accomplished the work in a timely manner - explaining as he went along. This is the second plumbing issue Brian has successfully completed for us, and we will definitely use again. Many thanks.

Dreadful..Brian was here 2 times. The first was on 9-17 and the last was 9-21-12. I emailed the company over the weekend of 9-16 about installing new bathroom fixtures for me. I called them 9-17 and they did not have my email as I had "sent it to the wrong address" ....the one I got off Angie's list. I spoke to Sheryl and she asked me about my job, meanwhile finding the email. In looking back at it now, there were so many red flags, I should have seen but didn't. They do not appear to be the least bit organized with one hand not knowing what the other hand is doing mentality. Brian promised things that he didn't follow through on, I could only get an email estimate after I phoned them several times and that wasn't a for sure thing, he came here on the final day and after breaking off the screw in my faucet, tugging on the faucet that broke it free from the wall, he stormed out of here yelling "get yourself another plumber....call the office and say whatever you want...I am so out of here." I was in shock. I followed him and locked the door and then went over and wrote down everything that just happened. And then I started to shake. I have NEVER been treated like that by anyone in my entire life. I did not call the office nor will I ever. Just in writing this review, I am reliving this week I would like to forget. I had thought that maybe Barnes Plumbing would call to apologize for his behavior. Following up with their professional behavior, they did not.

I had a leaking spout in our bathtub/shower. I tried to replace the spout myself, but came to the conclusion that I did not have the patience to do so, plus upon inspection, I did not think it was the spout after all. I called Barnes and told them I had a leaky spout. The receptionist asked me questions pertaining to the leak, such as if the shower part leaked (it did not) or if it was just the spout. The next day someone from Barnes came out and met my husband. A lot of time was spent calling the manufactuer of our old spout and handles. My husband was told that he would have to rebuild the stems but he couldn't detach them, they were stuck. If he was able to detach the stems, he would have been able to fix the whole thing today. He said they were fused on, or half water half vineger solution would losen, but that takes an hour to set. Finally the faucet spout was placed back on but it still leaks. I was charged $150 to not fix a leak. In fact, I would say that it leaks even more than it did before. There is a constant stream of dripping from the faucet not and I can hear drips within the wall. And I wasn't even given an estimate on how much it would cost to fix it. Update - I now was given a quote of $600-$800 to install a single handle tub/shower faucet with a remodeler plate, per their recommendation. With the $150 going towards the cost. A nice gesture, but at the same time they made my leak worse and now are recommending I replace it. Update - The owner came out himself to look at the leak. He had to go out for a new wrench size, but after he got it, our leak was fixed in under 15 minutes. I am disappointed at the process, but happy with the outcome. I have changed my grades accordingly.

They did an outstanding job. They arrived right on time, we're helpful in informing about the heating system and how best to care for it, and completed the job in a high quality way. They service providers were professional, quick and did quality work.

Services were performed excellently. Great service people, professional and friendly.

It was great. I called in the morning and the receptionist told me they would be able to get someone out that afternoon. The plumber came and, as it turns out, he was actually doing a home build but they had called him to do our job after he was done with his regular job. It was actually the faucet that was leaking, not the pipe. Very happy overall.

Wonderful service - new in town so a wild guess on service - hope this is the benchmark for all future service needs.

The plumber was very efficient and pleasant. We were satisfied with the job he did. The bill seemed high, but all plumbing jobs are expensive.

The price seemed reasonable. They did a very nice job. They were very helpful and showed us how to fix the problem our selves next time. I would use them again.

Brian was the tech that came out. He explained things very clearly and answered all of my questions. While fixing the problem he noticed another small leak (that I wouldn't have noticed for awhile because the bathroom doesn't get used often) and fixed that too! I've gone through alot of plumbers and found Barnes to be the best all around. I would definitley recommend them to other people! From the amount of water coming into my basement I thought the price was going to be high, but Brian was efficient and got work done quickly!

The problems involve three bathrooms, one of which has black mold. The leaks were fixed quickly, and the way to coordinate other work was outlined clearly. Just what I wanted.

Barnes Plumbing did it again for us! They were able to schedule us in last minute and provided great service at an affordable price. The plumber knew what he was doing, and my partner did not feel like he was getting talked down to. I appreciate that they called me back to offer a time that worked better with my schedule. We've lived in this house for seven years, and have never felt compelled to call back any other plumbers who've worked for us over the years, mostly because of shoddy workmanship, messy work spaces, exorbitant prices, and some serious unprofessionalism. However, after going through Angie's list, reading the reviews, and contacting Barnes Plumbing to complete our jobs, we will definitely be calling them again in the future.

A very positive experience! Mike showed up after another company cancelled on me at the last minute. I had taken the day off of work to have the source of a serious leak from my tub to the basement floor - I was collecting quite a bit of water in a large bucket on a daily basis. Mike systematically ruled out the possibilities and located a bad pipe solder from previous work. He not only repaired the leak, he fixed the faucet that was not allowing me to adjust the water temperature. He was meticulous, courteous, careful and very professional. Kudos! I'll call him when I'm ready to install my new dishwasher and for any other necessary work

I called Barnes Plumbing and explained the problem I was having with a Mexican manufactured toilet we had in our house. The gal I spoke with on the telephone was very pleasant and she prepared me for the worst case scenario as well as hoping for the best case. She also got me on the schedule for the following day. The plumber from Barnes, a delightful and professional 14 year veteran at Barnes named Chris, showed up 3 minutes early. I explained and showed him the problem with the toilet. In under 90 seconds he explained the problem and had it fixed in less than 15 minutes without having to replace the toilet. My wife then described a problem she was having with the stopper in one of our bathtubs. Chris explained the options for fixing the problem and the costs involved. This time he had the problem fixed in 45 minutes. Aside from Chris being prompt, skilled, and professional - he was also able to banter with me and had a solid sense of humor. He was also very enthusiastic and proud about having worked at Barnes Plumbing for the past 14 years. In the future I will always call and/or refer people to Barnes Plumbing, and we will all request Chris!

Austin arrived the next morning. He installed the check valve in 15 minutes, and worked on the drain for 2 1/2 hours. Unfortunately, he couldn't clear the drain because he only carried a 25' snake. He recommended me to call another company and charged me one hour of service.

After describing the problem over the phone, I was given a ballpark estimate to replace the lawn faucet if there was not an easy fix. I booked the a few days in advance, and Brian called ahead and arrived exactly on time. After investigating and attempting to repair the faucet, we discussed that a replacement was the appropriate action. With the unfinished basement, all the pipes were easily accessible and the faucet was replaced in approximately one hour. Service was fantastic and I will absolutely use in the future.

The repairs were completed quickly and both faucets are working fine.
