Badger Boiler Service

Even though it is not a work day for him, he took the time to trouble shoot our problem over the phone and to recommend based on the conversation that we had a leak in the concrete and perhaps should start with a leak detection service. I was so impressed that he took the time to talk with us and to try and steer us in the right direction even if it didn't mean any work for him. A+++

I've worked with the before numerous times. I continue to go back to them for the reliability and guts. It took 2 hours for them to complete the service. Just one person came to perform the service.

They gave me the impression that they were moving out of the repair service.

The contact and visit never happened so we did not do business with this company.We wasted nearly 2 months for nothing!

I have a Baxi Luna wall hung boiler and hot water heater. It has been a terrible problem finding someone to service my boiler. Its an unusual type not typically seen around here. I happened to see a Badger Boiler work van in my neighborhood and called the number on the side of the van. Morgan, one of the principles of Badger, and one of his techs came out a few days later, gave my boiler a much needed cleaning and diagnosed the error code I'd been getting. Most heating and cooling companies have never heard of a Baxi boiler much less how to repair one. It was great to find someone who knew exactly what I was talking about when I started describing my problem. Super professional and knowledgeable, I would use Badger Boiler again in a second. Erik

Great! I contacted Morgan Audetat (Badger Radiant) about previous system performance issues ( he's an expert in this area ), this led to talk about a master plan to redo our scary basement (100 year old house), which involved putting in heat. It was obvious at the outset that he was a no-nonsense experienced old house guru, specializing in radiant heating (but with extensive overall knowledge about plumbing, insulation and remodling). As such I worked with him to scope the project and figured out what made sense to have him do (vs. others). As detailed above he took responsibility for all the work required to get my basement radiant slab installed and working to provision for a future basement finishing/remodling project. This involved coordinating asbestos removal, plumbing, & concrete contractors. Everything went well and while the floor was out (a challenging task in itself) we took the time to do things that could only be done when the floor was out like move the incoming water supply line against the wall, rerouting the waste piping to accomodate a future 1/2 bath, installing drain tile to accomodate radon removal, etc. The entire project took about two months (which was fine) as the various stages took place. The stages included: 1) asbestos & pipe removal, floor removal, floor excavation, supply and waste piping, insulation installation, radiant tubing install, concrete pour, plumbing completion, radiator and radiant slap hookup, start up and commissioning. This fall a couple of follow up trips were required to get things right and Morgan was always quick to respond with a careful attention to detail.

Badger (Morgan Audetat) and I discussed by e-mail an issue I was having with my recently installed (by another mostly highly rated Angie's list provider) boiler fed below floor heating retrofit in a 100 year old house. He then visited my home to inspect and made a recommedation which I leveraged to get the original provider to invest time and materials to improve the situation to my satisfaction. So, I consider this a success. Badger (Morgan) had the background and experience to give credible advice in this situation.

This was the second time in 1 1/2 years that Badger has replaced our water heater. First time was because our 10 year old unit started leaking. This time it was due to a minor flood in the house, from a busted washing machine hose (hot water line). This time, Morgan answered the phone at 6:30 in the morning (I was expecting to leave a message on a machine) and was out at our house by 8:30am. It wasn't obvious that the unit had been flooded, since it was at the other end of the basement and so close to the floor drain, but after troubleshooting the controller for some time, he discovered water in the bottom of the unit and declared it flooded and totaled. He was able to replace the unit next day. He has more experience and education than your average plumber! We will definitely call him again when needed.

The job wasn't really in their line of work. It was a small job, but they were responsive, which was the important thing. I was satisfied with their service.

It was a great experience. Their price was pretty good. He was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to explained a few things for me that I was unfamiliar with, as far as the way my heating system works. He was helpful and very informative. To be honest, the name stood out to me and they had a couple positive reviews. I was kind of in a pinch because the other company I had called that were referred to me by a friend, didn't actually work on the type of heating system that I had, so I just kind of grabbed the first company that did work on my type of heater. He arrived at the end of the time frame that he gave me. I already have him scheduled to come back next year.

They were just good overall. I would recommend them.

Incredible! Morgan was able to diagnose and repair everything our home inspector did (and didn't) find, as well as, what we were told by a 'bigger' company was OK and/or would require us to purchase much more than we needed. As a matter of fact, Morgan fixed a major issue with our system while drawing up his estimate, something we were told (from the other guys) was ruined! He also spent a considerable amount of time explaining how our water/heating systems worked, how they were manufactured, possible problems with different types of systems, and how to check and maintain our system. He also inspected our water softening and filtration systems. He also added about 8 square feet of open floor in our utility room, and as an added bonus, cleaned up all the plumbing to make the repair/removal of a water heater easier in the future. And if all that wasn't enough, he was also able to locate a toilet tank top for a mismatch that we had resigned ourselves to live with!
