Description of Work: i have used Aura in the past so i called them when my folks wanted a bid on replacing their carpeted great room with a wood floor. they are still in the "talking" stage but things look to be going well. Aura is punctual and professional and i have heard a number of times how nice they are to work with. They go the extra step to try to please the customer.

Description of Work: He said he would come to my house at about 12 noon on 27 june 2013 to give me an estimate. At 11:30 am on the 27th of june he called and said he could not make it. He never followed up.

Description of Work: Gary installed a new hardwood Mirage floor in select Maple. I had damage to an older wood floor in my den. He took out the old floor and did a beautiful job of installing the new floor. The floor is perfect and Gary refinished some existing woodwork to match the new floor. His price was markedly less than the other bids and he does Wonderful work

Description of Work: My 8' x 10' kitchen was carpeted when I moved in. After trying to destroy it slowly over 5 years, I decided to have Gary come and give me an estimate to finish off the original floor under the subfloor of the carpet. I had exposed a corner to the original floor and he was honest and said that until the carpet subfloor was pulled up, we didn't really know what we had to work with. Because of his ridiculous estimate of $200 and the state of the carpet, I decided to go forward and take a chance on the original floor. It turned out to be a rustic looking fir floor with 3 1/2 inch planks. It turned out great and I have received comments that it looks like a farmhouse floor. Gary and his assistant, Matt, were great, worked fast, and were as clean as possible for the job they were doing. Gary was very responsive to my calls and is a really genuine guy. He ended up only charging me $50 to pull up the old carpeting and subfloor and helped me cut up the pieces for the trash. Please hire Gary -- he's great!

Description of Work: Refinished maple floors in four rooms, two of which have intricate inlay. Also replaced several square yards of floor.

Description of Work: Refinished wood floors in 6 rooms, stairs and hallway. Also, installed new floor in entryway and hallway.

Description of Work: Sanded and refinished the upstairs maple floor. Used oil-based initial, then water-based final coats. Cleaned up area. 2 days total.
