Description of Work: Very knowledgeable and professional. Showed up on time and was thoughtful of my home by removing shoes and putting floor protectors on the appliances before moving them to protect my wood floors. I would hire them again for whatever appliance repairs I need.

We went to the shop, selected a fridge, and they scheduled the delivery a couple days later and took our old one. The owner showed up several hours after the delivery window, was very rude when he delivered it and seemed to be angry with any questions I asked. The fridge seemed to work well so we bought groceries and put them away. We left for the weekend and when we came back the fridge had literally cooked the food that was in it and the freezer. There was chicken juice and ice cream everywhere. We cleaned it up and called them. They said they would send someone out to fix it which they did 4 days later. The owner came to our home with a tank of something, injected it into the fridge, it began to cool and he left. The fridge worked for 2 more days, and then heated up again. We called them again; they said they wouldn't be able to service it for a week. After they fixed it again, it stopped after a week. When we called them to ask them to replace the fridge, they said it would take them another week to have it delivered, so we took it back ourselves, selected a newer fridge which the service manager said was the most reliable one they had, and paid the difference. This newer, 2005 fridge did the same thing as the first one. It worked for a few days then stopped cooling, ruining all the food inside. We called and told them that if all they were going to do to 'repair' the fridge was re-fill it with coolant, we would like them to take it back and refund our money, which they agreed to. The technician arrived 2 hours after the service window, so I wasn't there. After several calls, I was told they had only added more coolant. At this point, we were done with them so we took the fridge out of our home and bought one from somewhere else. We called and they said they would come get the fridge which we stored in the garage, but it took them 4 more calls over 2 weeks for them to take it back. We are still waiting for the promised refund after a month of calls and waiting. They regularly say what you want to hear on the phone and do not follow through. * They will service the item for 1 year. However, the shortest response time we had for service was 4 days after calling, and the longest was 9. This is a long time to go without a fridge. They do NOT reimburse you for lost food, which cost us well over $200 in this process. These guys make their money by selling lemons in large volume. The time on the phone, the time waiting for delivery guys or repair guys to show up late, and the headache trying to get our money back make the low prices a very, very bad value. Their business practices have earned them an F rating with the Better Business Bureau.
Description of Work: - Purchased a refridgerator - Had them service the refrigerator a week later - Had them service the refrigerator again a week later - Had them replace the refrigerator a couple days after that - Had them service the replacement refrigerator after a week - Had them pick up the replacement refrigerator after it stopped working again. - Attempted for a month to get the promised refund after they picked up the replacement refrigerator, but with no luck.

I went to the store and purchased a stacked dryer unit on the floor and paid for delivery and install. They scheduled a delivery which ultiamtely got pushed back 3 times. For some of the reschedules they called me and notified me to schedule another day. For others, they just never showed up and I had to follow up. The dryer was finally delivered a week late and a different model. They never did hook it up as I promised and paid for. I called more than 5 times over a span of two weeks and either got the run around or was told they would come out. They never did. I ended up hiring a plumber to install the dryers at an extra cost to me. Funny enough, my plumber also had a negative experience with Appliance Doctors when they didn't pay him for services he provided.
Description of Work: Bought dryers from them and paid for delivery and installation.

I ordered a refrigerator. The one they sent was not the right one. I had put it on my check card. They tried to find me a new one, but couldn't. They stated that they would refund the charges. There was a problem with the wrong check number on the invoice. I spoke with the owner, Eric and he stated he would take care of it. Two days later it was posted to my account. This company is very customer service orientated and I woudl definitely use them again

The actual technicians and the delivery guys who came out for the job were great. They were really easy to work with, however the company overhead was not good. We went in and ordered a washer initially that we had to wait for a week to be delivered. That washer did not work and had a malfunction so it had to be replaced which took a few more days. They did not deliver the 2nd washer on the day promised and did not even bother to call me back to inform this. I had to call them back to find out that our washer was getting delayed by another couple of days. One of their technicians also came out to take a look at the first washer after his working hours which I think was good but he could not fix it. We had to wait for about a good 3 weeks to get a working washer which I thought was ridiculous. I was not happy in that time and I had to do the laundry in one of my sister?s house. And all times that I called them they did not have me on their records so obviously they have to re-look at their scheduling system. The technicians were really good but the whole experience was unpleasant and I don?t think I would want to do business with them again.
Description of Work: We bought a washer from them and they came out to install it and also removed the old appliance.

I have only dealt with one company worse than this one in my 18 years of home ownership. Minutes after I paid for the repair of my washing machine and started a load of laundry, I heard the tell-tale beeping that told me it was not working. I called the Appliance Doctors and told them the repair had not worked. Several days later, the service technician came back. He said he would order a new control panel. He also told me that in the meantime I could make the unit work. I simply had to unplug it when it reached the part of the wash cycle where it started beeping, wait five minutes and plug it in again. He said he would order a new control panel. I used this method to wash my laundry even though the machine did not go through every part of the wash cycle. I called Appliance Doctors about a week later to ask when the service technician would be back to install a new control panel. They had not heard that there had been a problem and the control panel had not been ordered. Eric and another technician came out and replaced a valve in the washing machine and said they would order a new panel. About ten days later, Eric came back with the new control panel and installed it. The machine stopped working minutes after he left. It no longer worked by unplugging and waiting. I called immediately and later in the day. I left voicemail messages both times. I received no return phone call. The following Monday I left another message and did not receive a reply. My husband called later in the week and left a message indicating a desire for a completed repair or other resolution. Eric returned his message on a voicemail and promised to call after 5 p.m. There was no phone call. My husband called the next day and left a message with a person. The person suggested my husband call Eric after 5 p.m. My husband called and reached Eric. He said that Fisher Paykel had been unable to tell him what might be wrong, but a district manager for the company was expected to call back that night. That's the last we heard from the Appliance Doctors. I was very unhappy because they did not return phone calls, respond promptly when they were unable to fix it on the first try or give us any type of refund or apology when they did not fix it.
Description of Work: I hired the Appliance Doctors to fix my broken Fisher Paykel washing machine. They are licensed for repair of Fisher Paykel machines. After a week's wait, they came out and diagnosed a broken water pump and a possibly broken control panel. After the parts arrived, about a week later, a technician came and installed the new parts. I paid them $300.
