Had a mix up on when he was coming as I thought he said Tuesday at 10 AM. I called and was told it was Wednesday at 10 so I might not have heard right but they apologized for the miscommunication. When he came on time on Wednesday, he apologize and took $50 off the agreed price. He did a good job explaining everything and sent the information the next day as promised. Would recommend them to anyone.

I needed my ceiling texture tested for asbestos before work could be done at my home. I found Angstrom Analytical Inc. on Angie's List and called them for more information. I mailed in a sample of my ceiling texture on Tuesday and received a report via email on Friday a.m. I would not hesitate to refer or use Angstrom Analytical again.

I brought a couple samples of the popcorn ceiling texture at my new house to the Angstrom office so they could be tested for asbestos. I dropped the samples off and paid for the analysis around 1pm. The results were emailed to me the next afternoon. Good turnaround time, not a bad price, I'd certainly use them again.

It was the easiest thing I have done during my remodeling project yet. Our realtor actually suggested them (and handled all of the busy work for us - LOVE a good realtor!). We basically VERY carefully put a small sample in a bag and dropped it off after hours as they have an after hours box (amazing for any busy family!). The test came back very quickly and I learned there was, indeed, asbestos in our tile. We have some paint that may have lead in it as well - so we will be using them in the future to test for that! Can't beat the quick turnaround time and cost. They have my business!

Angstrom is used by several Asbestos Abatement Services and they always do very timely turnaround. In Steve we trust.

I cut out a 1 inch square and put it in a zip-lock bag and dropped it off in the after hours drop box along with a note with my contact information. The following day I received a call, made my payment and had it tested. Dave (I believe) told me my ceiling material did not contain asbestos and also e-mailed me a report based on using polarized light microscopy with optional dispersion staining to test for asbestos. They were very quick to respond and very reasonable. It's better to be safe and have things tested.

Kevin arrived on time, explained his equipment and methodology very clearly and carefully, involved us in every aspect of his testing procedure, listened to and answered our numerous questions as he tested every room of our house for lead paint. His expertise and professional conduct reassured us about the places where lead was discovered, and gave us confidence to better deal with what we did find. He took his time, and gave us very helpful advice on lead paint abatement, potential risks, and options for addressing the problem. He was clean and organized, and left every work area just as he found it. The testing of 25+ surfaces in our 1,000 sq ft home took roughly 1 hour, and Kevin impressed us by writing up his thorough and easy-to-read report that same evening and delivering his detailed results to us via email within 24 hours. He also urged us to contact him with any additional questions that might arise after reading his report. We were very satisfied with Angstrom's work, and would recommend them to anyone.

They were great and very nice. They were timely. They kept me informed about all the details relating to the tests and surveys. They had neatly numbered the tests and the results so I could match them. The numbering made it very convenient for me; otherwise, I could barely understand their printout of the test results. My experience with them was good as they did a great job. I would definitely use them in future and have already recommended them to others.

I am absolutely wowed by my experience with this company. On Friday afternoon, before Labor Day weekend, we were preparing to move into a new house, when it was noticed that there was flaking paint on a number of the radiators. Because we have a 1-year-old, I was worried that due to the age of the house (build in 1925), there might be lead in the paint chips that were falling off onto the floor. I tried using one of the do-it-yourself test kits from the hardware store, but the result was not conclusive, and I felt I needed to be sure. I called Angstrom and explained my situation. They were incredible! They allowed me to collect paint chips from the different radiators and bring them down to their offices in St. Louis Park. They were able to perform a test for lead right there while I waited. It turned out that lead was present in paint from one of the radiators. Thanks to Angstrom we now know what we need to do to keep our child safe. They really cared about my family's safety and went above and beyond what they normally do to help me out. And right before a holiday weekend on top of it! Thank you so much Angstrom!

I really can't say enough good things about this company. Kevin showed up at our house to do lead testing, and took as much time as was necessary to answer my questions about what he would do. Given the fact that lead testing is so expensive, I wanted to know that the information we learned would be worthwhile. Kevin explained what we would and would not know, and offered to scan a few surfaces so that we could make a decision on how to proceed. We decided to do a complete and detailed scan of the entire house. After a few surfaces, however, Kevin suggested that we could likely get away dramatically cheaper with a "client directed" survey where we chose which surfaces to examine. Since many surfaces in the house were obviously of the same age and construction, we were able to save $400 by going with this limited survey. Kevin worked with us to help us figure out which surfaces to examine, and went beyond the call of duty answering our questions, telling us what we found, and saving us money.

Great! After several phone calls to various companies trying to find someone to do a simple home lead risk assessment, I found a company who returned my call and answered all of my questions. They explained their range of services and quoted me a price for the one I selected, which I accepted, and then put me immediately on their schedule. When their serviceman came out, he was on time, personable, respectful of my home, plus efficient and knowledgeable in his field. I had the results very quickly (thankfully, no lead in any of the bathroom surfaces), and the official detailed report was sent to me by email that very day. It only took about a half-hour for the home visit. The price may be a little high, but for my peace of mind, it was invaluable. They also offer complete, thorough lead, asbestos, and mercury assessments for an entire home or building (exterior and interior). I only needed a specific room checked.
