Andy was very professional. I ended up not selling the house but when I decide to sell the house I will definitely use this agent. He is very knowledgeable about preparing the house for sale.

We ended up NOT buying a house, because we our expecting our job situation to change soon, and we may need to relocate. However, while we were home searching, Andy was an excellent resource. He responded to our calls and e-mails quickly, he was very patient about answering our questions, and helping us think through what we wanted in a house. When we decided NOT to buy a house after all, he was supportive and understanding of our situation, and refused any kind of payment for his time. I would strongly recommend Andy to anyone looking for a home, or trying to sell a home. He was extremely knowledgeable about the housing market, and very easy to work with. I felt comfortable talking to him, and I felt that he was always honest with us. Whenever we would walk through a house, he would quickly identify any potential problems with the house, as well as any advantages. I never felt that he tried to "sell" us on a house, especially if we clearly had reservations about it. If we end up staying in Minnesota, and want to buy a house, Andy will be my first call.

With the purchasing market picking up, I have heard some real horror stories about Realtors! I can't emphasize enough the importance of selecting an EXPERIENCED REALTOR vs. a friend or family member you know in the business. Andy and his team at Counselor Realty are professionals that know the market well! When we were searching for our home Andy provided us with top notch service. We spent quality time analyzing the pros and cons of each property. He did a great job of helping us remain objective which really helped us find a property that was good fit overall. In the end, getting our home and feeling good about the price was the result of excellent negotiating. This is where Andy really shined and his experience helped us so much!

After listening to all of Andy's advice I fell back in love with my home, I loved my new uncluttered abode! Fortunately, I wasn't the only one who fell in love with the home. We didn't have many showings because the home sold so darn fast!! The 1st day the home hit the market I was notified prior to leaving work that I had my 1st showing. Within 1-2 wks this same couple put an offer on the home and after some negotiation we sold my home in record speed!! What a relief, I was free to look for my next home without the stress of selling my existing home. I again used Andy to find my next home too and we are equally satisfied!!

Andrew looked at upwards of 30 houses a day with us, put in multiple late nights writing offers on properties and expertly assisted us through the entire home buying process. The home we ended up purchasing in 2009 has been a real dream come true and it couldn't have happened without the assistance of Andrew. Since then my family has used him to sell two homes. Andrew consulted with us on what upgrades would make the house more sell-able, he staged the homes beautifully (almost made us wish we weren't selling them) and sold both homes at the asking price in record time! We would not have purchased this home without Andy's help! This was a case where having a great real estate agent is crucial. The home we wanted to buy was a short sale. Andy educated us on how the short sale process works, and also gave us advice on what type of offer we might want to put in if we were serious about buying the home. It ended up that our offer was second best among ten offers. One of the things that Andy told us about a short sale is that it is anything but short, so that helped us be patient. After many weeks the person who had the higher offer gave up and our offer was accepted! One of the issues with the house was there was significant water damage and mold in the basement due to it being vacant for almost a year (which is why it was being offered at such a reduced price). The mold issue brought up a red flag in our financing. Andy advised us on what we could do to resolve the mold issue as we wanted to be able to make sure the home was safe to live in, and we also had a short timeline to get it resolved to close on the short sale. Even though we got the mold issue resolved, we were still having issues with the bank that our mortgage lender was working with because the initial appraisal had indicated mold. Andy came up with a creative solution which resulted in our mortgage lender finding new financing and we were able to close within the time constraints of the short sale. We were so thankful to have Andy guide us through this process - he went above and beyond what one would expect from a realtor! Again, we would not have ended up with the home we wanted without his help!

It went great! We were very happy with the home that we purchased. I was especially impressed with the amount of education and communication Andy provided, as this was our first experience in buying a home. Andy was especially helpful when we had some issues with the previous homeowners following through on some things prior to closing. He worked with the selling agent to make sure things were taken care of so that the home was in the condition we were promised when we closed and took ownership of the home. We were very thankful to have Andy on our side and helping us out!

Andy's Recommendations were excellent to get it sold at fair price with minimal investment. We had to redo the floors and re carpet and do some major cleaning but it showed well and sold in less than two months.
