EXCELLENT service. Fast call back and subsequent appt from initial call. Very reasonable pricing. Precise estimate. In and out, cleaned up. I've used the "big guys" before... won't ever again. While I'd hope never to have plumbing issues again, this is not possible in a 100 yr old home in south Minneapolis. I'll be a repeat client. A+ all the way. THANK YOU!

I have my main sewer line routinely cleaned every 9 - 12 months to clear out the roots that get in from the large Elm tree in my front yard. I purchased this service as an Angie's List "The Big Deal". I called to schedule the service on October 15, 2012 and was told that a service technician was in my area and could clean the main sewer line that day. Joe arrived within an hour and did an excellent job. He was very personable, professional and concerned about keeping my house clean. He put runners on the stairs and across the basement carpeting before bringing his machine into the house. He was very conscientious about not nicking the walls or woodwork with the machine as he was taking it downstairs. The service also included a video inspection of the main sewer line. Joe made sure to remind me that the service also included a video inspection; however, I declined this service as a video inspection of the line had been done previously and I was aware of where the roots were getting into the line. Overall, I had an excellent experience with American Sewer and will definitely call them the next time my main sewer line needs cleaning.

Everything is working much better, there was lint from the washer and grease from the garbage disposal amongst food etc. in the drains. Checked our toilet, which had no issues. He was there on time told me what he was doing and told me how to prevent another back up.We had our main kitchen/laundry room drain cleaned out and our floor drain.

American Sewer in Bloomington, MN did an excellent job for us. They came when they said they would, the work was done quickly and efficiently, the price was very reasonable - less than a big name competitor, and the person that did the work (his name was Joe) was very knowledgable and did a great job. American Sewer was top rated on Angie's list. That is why I called them and I am happy I did. I will definitely use them next time the need arises. I called American Sewer at 9am to come and clear a blocked sewer line and the technician (Joe) came at noon as promised. I explained to Joe that we had the same drain cleaned just six weeks earlier by a nationally known company which was a big mistake. Not only did they not clear the drain, their plumber claimed that the blade on the end of the cable had come of and was stuck in the sewer line. However, Joe was able to clear the line. He then ran a camera through the line to show me that it was all clear. I am very happy with American Sewer's work and with Angie's List for the help they provided'

Jonathan arrived early for the appointment and had already finished his inspection by the time I arrived. He took the time to show me the video inspection of our sewer line & concluded that we did not require cleaning at that time.

The technician called in advance to confirm his time of arrival. When he got here he sized up the flush problem quickly, tried one new part that ended up not fitting properly and instead made fine adjustments on the old part. The toilet was functioning perfectly when he finished that. Then he tackled the kitchen sink, removing the trap to get access to the drainage pipes. While doing that he took an extra moment to loosen up a jammed garbage disposal unit, restoring it to regular function. Then he ran the snake a long way through the drainage pipes, clearing up debris and resulting in a freely draining sink. He had a great attitude from the word go, explaining everything he was doing and working quickly and efficiently.

Wonderful experience (in as much as this type of job fits that superlative). The technician called ahead and arrived promptly on-time. He was very careful to ensure equipment didn't damage stairs, etc. He was able to clear roots from our main line in less than 20 minutes with absolutely no sign that he had ever been working. The space was left exactly as it was found. The technician was extremely professional and explained the nature of the job, how the cleaning went and provided tips for future maintenance. I was extremely satified with this service and will use American again whenever we run into problems. Highly recommended.

Tthey ended up at my office address instead of my home address. but I live close to work, so only a 10 minute delay. Not sure how that happened... Work was done quickly and professionally. It was a maintenance tree roots cleaning of the main line. So no problems before work. Turned out I did not even need it done after 3 years. But it was nice to see I had a cast iron pipe all the way to the main line. As a Realtor I wanted to check out the camera and service for clients buying older homes. Great value for both services and I would use them in the future for clients and myself.

Very impressive service and excellent response time in coming the next day to perform the service call. Our dog even liked him!! I had a basement sewer drain that would clog regularly and I am a relatively new home owner so I wanted the drain cleaned and the main line inspected. The service guy was great, thorough, informative and took care of things quickly and efficiently. It all took about an hour. I will definitely call these guys again if I have a drain/sewer problem.

I was very nervous that I had tree roots in my main sewer line since I had experience water backup when I washed clothes. But after viewing the video, I was relieved that very few roots were in my line and the line was in good shape. They discovered that the problem was my drain for my washer machine, not the main sewer line. They cleaned that line for an extra charge, but it cleared up the problem. I have had my main sewer line cleaned before by another company and they never checked the other drain. I was very pleased with they work and professionalism. I would use their services again

We grabbed this deal because our toilet has been leaking and we usually get a drain snaked about every 24 months, so this combination looked like a win-win! And it was. The business owner contacted us to set up a time, and the service person, Joe, called about 20 minutes before arrival to let us know he was on the way. Joe fixed a minor issue with the toilet that wasn't really part of the tune-up process, but he didn't charge us extra for it. He gave us advice on finding the customized part we need to replace in our old toilet, and suggested that we didn't really need to buy the part from him, since we would be able to get a better deal directly from the manufacturer. He explained that we could probably install it ourselves, but if we wanted him to come back out to take care of it, we could call and schedule another visit. I was impressed that he didn't try to sell us something generic that would not have worked as well as what we really needed. Keep in mind that what this company does most and best is drain cleaning, and I'm sure the Angie's List offer included the toilet tune-up as an added bonus. For us, the drain cleaning wasn't as important as getting our toilet in working order. But Joe was on a mission! Joe was reluctant to snake the kitchen drain, since it seemed to be running okay, so he checked other drains in the house before agreeing to complete the job from the kitchen. He seemed actually happy that he found a clump of grease about 20 feet out, making it worth his while to run the snake! Joe cleaned up everything, double checked his work in every area, and made sure we were satisfied before he left. We know that we will need to have our main sewer line cleared in the future, because tree roots are a big problem every few years. Joe gave me information about their process and prices, and I know we will be calling them again when we need to have any drain cleaning done. Very professional, personable, knowledgeable, and as eager to save us money as we are!

Super easy. We scheduled via email, the technician came out and did the scope. He made sure I was able to watch the camera go thought he sewer line. Pretty simple for us as there were no issues. I did go out and buy a new sewer cap as our old one was just sitting on top. It wasn't even screwed on!

American Sewer was prompt, professional and very thorough in their trouble shooting by asking many questions which led then to resolving the problem. It was as simple as holding the handle down longer than normal based on the toilet model and style! No one ever suggested that simple solution! Also asked the type of toilet paper and how much I used and what the other companys had done. They were very knowledable and will use them in the future. I felt I get ripped off by the other companys!

Joe did a great job -- at about 1/4 the price and 1/4 of the time that Roto-Rooter charged and took for essentially the same service two years ago. We are definitely using American Sewer next time. I called at 8 a.m. and they arrived a little after noon. I was very pleased with the prompt service at a great price.
