Jon notified me when Rob was on his way. Rob called when he was getting close to the house. Came in and put on shoe covers. Talked about the drain and issue I may have been having. Unfortunately the drain I had mentioned was not the correct drain. Rob and I had talked about it and decided that my main drain was still in good working order. He snaked the drain I was having problems with. He answered all my questions without hesitation. He then worked on one of my toilets and got it working the way it should've been. Was very happy with him and the services he did.

Again he scheduled someone to come out that same day. The tenant had tried all the usual chemicals without success. Jonathan emailed the bill to me and I didn't have to be onsite to pay the technician. Job well done at a good price which equals great value.

American Sewer, LLC did a fabulous job with my issues. Jon was fast and courteous. My sink has worked well since American Sewer fixed the clog. I will absolutely use this company in the future.

Jonathan and his assistant arrived when they said they would. I was trying to determine if my sewer line had a break in it and whether the break was under the garage floor (very costly) or located after sewer pipe exits from under the garage floor (less expensive). Jonathan was able to specifically identify the break. He gave me a video of the line and up close photos of the break. He was able to identify the location in feet from the garage wall, so I was able to determine that the break was just outside of the garage. This information is very helpful, as it will help guide me in determining the type of repair necessary. Well worth the $125.00, as I can now meaningfully discuss the type of repair necessary with the contractors who will be doing the work.

John was good in communicating to us when he will be coming. He was hoping he can come earlier on Thur 4/25 the same day I called to take care of the problem for us. He was not able to come and he communicated to us. He then suggested to come on the following day at 6 a.m. But the tenant said it was too early and he was willing to change the time to 8 a.m.

Scheduling was very simple and we made the appointment by email. They were timely on arrival and called ahead. The technician ran into difficulty placing the scope in the early bend of the sewer line. Jonathon, boss of the company, come to the rescue, and he was able to use special tools and his skills to retrieve the scope. They switched to a smaller head on the scope and changed to a different entry for the procedure. They succeeded in accomplishing the task of examining the line and taking the video, thus assuring me of the integrity of the sewer line to the street. Jonathon emailed me a copy of the digital video for my own records. There was further cleanup necessary on my part after they left, so Jonathon determined he would not charge me extra for the extra two hours beyond their first hour of work that was covered in the Angie's List Big Deal. He was very responsive in our discussion. I appreciate that they both were dedicated to their mission, and they were very friendly and respectful through the entire procedure. It's nice to know that when the work is not as simple as anticipated, the resources are there to adjust to task to meet the need.

This firm is a dream come true. the service guy drove to my house despite a horrible snowstorm and tons of traffic jams. He updated me so I knew exactly when he would be here. I have pure white carpet and he had tarps, so not a mark on the carpet anywhere. I have silk wallpaper, which most service guys manage to damage in some fashion or another, but not this guy! I never had to ask him to be careful - he just knew. He really knew his stuff and was very pleasant and personable. He let me watch the TV screen so I could see exactly what the inside of my sewer pipe looked like - right out to the where it connected to the city sewer line. Now I know for sure that my pipe is clean and free of problems. What a relief!!!

Amercian Sewer is extremely responsive and helpful. Our basement floor drain was clogged and backing up in an unfinished portion of our basement. American Sewer was out to our house within 1.5 hours of my call, even sooner than they estimated they would be, and had the issue resolved within about 30-45 minutes.

We had an emergency and Rob came out promptly. He was very professional and did a great job. Jonathan called to followup with us later. We are very happy with the service we received from American Sewer. We will definitely call on them when we need their services! Highly recommended!

Very skilled and thorough, easy to communicate with, clearly enthusiastic about delivering a great value, and with the fiber optic camera, you see the results, first hand, which I stayed to watch the whole job. My 1921 sewer has a poor slope angle out to street, so it can accumulate some sludge. At first, the amount of sediment caught by camera suggested a possible break in the sewer line, we all thought - which could have meant a costly line repair (which this provider could refer out to a contractor). But we kept talking. I disclosed there was a long history of flushing cat litter - which I had since learned is a bad choice and I have been using a Litter Genie ever since, but there it was: years of accumulation. Even though we've had this line roto'd a few times over the years, this was the first visual examination with a camera, and there it was, a problem these guys caught, visually. This team spent 2 full hours, used the blade attachment, then a shovel-like attachment, then a ball, and then added value by using a flush hose in conjunction with the camera, and did a splendid job getting this system free of that sediment as well as the original goal of detecting and trimming out any tree roots. So while I had them here, I added extra to the bill by having them optionally sweep out the two interior lines as well, which did add to the charge. That, plus the extra hour labor to clear the sediment. Disappointment: I believe the trainee knocked 2 chips from my new cement steps, as the fresh chips lifted off, right after their departure. Evidently from lugging the heavy tilling machine, step by step (kind of loud, too, so it all makes sense). Plus a new pair of lesser nicks into my backdoor threshold and painted undertrim. So now I have a few repairs to figure out how to fix. Hence, the "C" for professionalism. (Hage Concrete did a great job pouring these steps 2 years back and I've been so careful not to nick, even using non-metal snowshovels.) I suggest the company bring a few lengths of thin incline boards for exterior steps - to protect the steps, and to make hauling the heavy gear much easier and safer. Now, they did protect my inner steps with a cloth runner and were demonstrably very careful with the inner steps.

Timely, did the job and didn't make a mess.

Excellent job. Jon was by far the best person who has cleaned our main drain. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. Only problem was I had the same company clean it out two months ago. It should have been good for a year. No offer to lower the price.

.I am responding here to the companies response. As far as responding to the company, I did so the same day of service to notify re toilet running after service, so I did respond immediately. And it was in turn responded to by company the same day by their return visit. My issue or displeasure is more one of the coupon being misleading, as essentially the entire cost was for the sewer line video. We did not receive 'drain cleaning', and there was nothing included in toilet 'tune up'.

My experience with them was good. I would have them back. They were prompt. What I didn't like was that they gave me a trip charge that was over and above the deal price because I was slightly out of the metro area. I've never had a contractor actually charge a trip up charge like that before so that is my only complaint. They were very clear, clean and efficient. I thought they were pretty thorough. The people who worked were very professional.

Very professional- introduced himself, wore shoe covers, explained everything and patiently answered questions. Cleaned up after he was finished. Showed me on the video screen what the branches looked like that had grown into my sewer pipes.

First contact was an Angie's deal, good price for routine preventive sewer cleaning. Good job, kept things clean and gave me good information. Later,when I had a drain backup, I called and got quick service on a holiday, just before a party when I needed help badly. In fact, it was Christmas Eve morning and I was entertaining! Another plumber had come earlier when the drain backed up but couldn't explain it. Jonathan diagnosed the problem right away, fixed it, and even cleaned the floor where it had backed up. I was so grateful for his responsiveness, thoroughness, and courtesy! I'll call him for all such services in the future.

The main sewer drain from the house to the street was blocked and was backing up into the basement. This was on a Sunday afternoon and we found American Sewer on Angie's List. Jonathan arrived in about 1 hour and immediately determined the main line was blocked. Because we could not find the clean-out plug in the floor(found it later) Jonathan went to plan B and removed the toilet stool and cleaned the line to the street. Since we found the clean-out plug while he was working on the toilet drain he decided to run his equipment in this line also to insure everything was working properly. I was extremely happy with Jonathan's response time and the work he preformed. He is a hard worker and answered all of our questions. I certainly will use him again if I have similar problems in the future.

They arrived earlier than estimated after calling to warn us. Excellent attitude and service. He even cleaned the drain in our laundry tub free of charge. Class act all the way. Couldn't have been better.
