He did not clean out the sewer very well and I had to call another company to do the job. The other company did the job properly.

There were a number of problems with our sewer lines and Jonathan worked diligently to get the job done. I definitely believe we got our monies worth, as Jonathan spent more time than usual on this job. He also was great with his follow up and I would recommend American Sewer to others.

Jonathon and his assistant Esther, came to my house within hours of my call. They listened very carefully to my description of the problem, then Jonathon fixed both problems quickly, efficiently, and inexpensively. They cleaned their work area so it was spotless when they were done. Then Jonathon listened to my questions regarding tree roots that may be growing into my outside pipes. He described the process for evaluating that issue, and removing the tree roots if it is indeed a problem. I may have that done sometime in the future, it it becomes a problem, and I would definitely use this company again. I have had to do this drain unclogging work at least twice in the past and other companies charged me almost double the price I was charged by American Sewer. Jonathon understands the systems involved in drain pipes so well that I would describe him as a master of his craft. It was also a low pressure experience. In the past I have had people come out to clean drains and then I got a high pressure sell job to buy an expensive product to pour down the drains, which I don't want. It was not like that with Jonathon. Jonathon is a very smart guy. I think that is how he can get this work done so quickly and for a very fair price. I highly recommend this company to anyone with drain problems.

Called American Sewer on a Sunday night due to a backed up main sewer drain, they showed up first thing Monday morning, laid a runner as to not get stairs carpet dirty. Snaked the sewer. showed me the roots. Cleaned up and done in one hour. Excellent service.

I'm very pleased with the prompt, courteous, and competent service we received from Jonathan. From the first phone call to the final sound of water flowing freely through my kitchen drain, the process was smooth and painless. Because of his willingness to work around my teaching schedule, I didn't have to take time off for the service call. He and his assistant arrived well within the two-hour window we had arranged, and they were able to fix the problem quickly. I can't begin to say how grateful I am to be washing my dishes in my kitchen sink instead of my bathtub, and that's thanks to Jonathan and Esther! And all for a very reasonable price, I might add.

Our kitchen and upstairs laundry all drain into one 2 inch pipe that the original owner did a makeshift job on. When the drain became clogged due to some food down the disposal, I looked for a well rated drain cleaner. We have had this problem in the past and another company sent an inexperienced cleaner out who could not clear the drain (fortunately it freed up on its own). This time I called Jonathan at American Sewer. I called on a Saturday and he told me it would be extra to come out on Weekends, so I arranged a time for the next weekday available. Later that day, he called to say someone was nearby and could come clear the drain at the weekday rate. I was really impressed he called me and offered that. His tech, Rob, came out to clear the drain. Rob spent an hour working on the job, but due to the complex nature of the pipes in the basement, was unable to get it cleared up. The owner, Jonathan, contacted me the very next day (Sunday!) to say he was aware of the situation and planned to come out with the camera and troubleshoot the situation. Because it was Sunday, he said he'd come out Monday. Later in the day he made time to come out on Sunday at the regular rate! Again, very impressed by his communication and thoughtfulness of me and my family's situation (we were unable to use our kitchen and laundry while the drain was plugged). Jonathan came out and even brought his wife to help! By this point I really felt like he valued me and cared about my situation that he'd interrupt his day off to come and help me out. He came out with the video camera and within an hour was able to find the problem that another company could not. He cleaned the drain out thoroughly, showed me the drain with the camera, and went the extra mile to clean everything up when he left. I was fearing having to tear up the basement floor to correct the problem, but Jonathan was able to solve it. Not only did I have a peace of mind about it, but his service saved me hundreds of dollars, cleared my drain, was prompt, well communicated, and left me feeling valued. In this day and age, that is very rare. Not only am I taking the time to type all this up, but I would recommend him to anyone who need any type of drain cleaning or complex trouble shooting of an existing drain/sewer problem. And he did so at a fair price with great service! I would not hesitate to call Jonathan at American Sewer! He really is the best!

I bought a Big Deal package of 3 services for $129. Wasn't having problems -- but wanted to make sure everything was in good orde.r. I have had to have "emergency" drain cleaning in our kitchen sink in the past, and didn't want to repeat that. Jonathan scoped our main sewer line, then showed me its condition as he removed the scope, which had gone all the way out into the street. No clogs, some plaque. Used a drain clog remover to clean the drain in our kitchen/garbage disposal. Some gunk in the pipe, but nothing substantial. Then flushed the drain. Finally, performed a "check up" on a toilet that was operating, but not real well. Diagnosed that I needed to replace the flapper, told me where to get one. I got it, replaced it, and now the toilet works better. Jonathan and his helper, Esther, were very nice, cleaned up after themselves, and were great to work with. I would use them again.

They were very prompt, and were very professional. They were also very receptive to all my novice questions about how the main sewers operate. Thanks for a job well done. I will recommend American Sewer to my friends.

I had an Angie's list discount from over a year ago and because we could not get it done before the expiration as the ground was frozen, Jonathon agreed that I could use the coupon after its expiration. I called yesterday and they came out the same day. I warned them that I had an extra long driveway and that was no problem. I had not had a clean out in a few years and have lots of trees along the drive so I was nervous but as it turned out there were no roots invading the pipes. It could not have gone better.

Provider was punctual, professional, polite, and informative.

We initially called Jonathan for a second opinion, after the first company that we were working with was unable (after a day and a half, and fees to match) to clean out our main line to the sewer. They were recommending digging up the yard and replacing a portion of the line - a very expensive proposition. He finished the job in about 40 minutes. Quick and efficient results, and he knew what he was doing. Provided video check that work had been completed. No need to dig up and replace the line. He essentially saved us thousands of dollars. Most importantly, his hourly rate was fantastic - much lower than most of the other quotes we got. We know who to call the next time we need help - highly recommended! Outstanding service and results!

Jonathan came promptly and took care when entering and leaving the house. He snaked the drain beneath our laundry tub as that one had backed up a couple of times in the past month (we recently had remodeling done in the home). He did the video inspection which was hard to see because of some sediment in our sewer line. He put a foam cushion on the device which helped and from that we could see it was clear. The only thing--my fault--I didn't read the deal properly. We only had 85 feet from the drain to the street. Since the coupon deal covered 125 feet, I thought we'd be good from that drain to the street. However, since there is another drain in between the one we had snaked and the street, it is not included in the deal and would have cost $80.00. So, since we only have the one drain backing up and the video inspection was clear, we decided to not have the other one done. Jonathan checked the toilet out. He recommended replacing the toilet due to the age. In its place, he offered to look at another toilet so we had him look at an upstairs toilet. Jonathan was prompt, courteous and professional.

His employee came out the first day and worked on the drain. His auger became ensnarled in the clog. He left and said he would be back in the morning with another auger. After working on it for several hours he was able to pull an eighteen inch mass of tree roots from the sewer pipe. He then used his camera to inspect the condition of the pipe. He informed my husband of the various steps he was taking, and why as he worked. Before hiring him we called several others who told us they would need to dig up the yard before even looking at the problem. John not only solved the problem, he saved us a lot of money by removing the clog without tearing up the yard. We would definitely hire him again and would recommend him to others.

Everything was good. We had a question about the line itself and the service person called me back after he had left with the answer.

On time, professional, fixed my problem.

They did the job at a rental property I own. They cleaned out the main line (which had been backing up into the basement) and the main floor drain (also clogged). The laundry tub was also backed up, and the drain pipe underneath the laundry tub was leaking. Not only did Jon unclog and snake the laundry tub, he also fixed the leaking pipe underneath, saving me from having to have a separate plumber come out and fix that. Amazing job. Highly recommend these guys.

I called American Sewer to come snake out a basement floor drain that was backing up when we ran the laundry or dishwasher. I spoke to the OWNER of the company when i called, and he had a plumber waiting in my driveway when I got home from work. The plumber looked at the drain, quoted a price up front, and proceeded to use a power auger to get rid of the stoppage. He cleaned up everything after he was finished, and was gone in under 30 minutes. The price I paid was exactly what I was quoted on the phone, and less than some of the larger companies charge just to show up! Needless to say, I was VERY impressed, and will be calling American Sewer in the future if I have any other issues!

Overall it went well, the run ended up being 125 feet to the city pipe, so they had to add additional snake line. They were good about respecting my carpet and ran a runner down the steps. They offered to put on shoe covers, but this was not necessary. There were a few bumps in the road with some equipment challenges, but they were resolved quickly. I had a couple concerns around the dragging of the snake extension scraping some wood steps, and the wheels from the machine also chipped the same steps a bit where it was dragged up, but the impact was minor. I did not realize the drain clean and camera service were both flat rate, so I ended up spending a bit more than planned, but I am confident that they resolved the issue. At the end of it, they cleaned up and did not leave a mess. I will likely use them again.

The snaking of the drain was great and improved the flow substantially. The video was great to see and reassuring as nothing was found.

On a Sunday evening, I went down to my baement and found a pool of water coming up from the floor drain, soaking all of my area rugs. I found American Sewer on Angie's List . Jonathan answered the call (appreciated the fact I didn't need to leave a message, but could talk to someone right away). He explained it was not a sewer back up, how much I would save if I could wait until the next day for them to come out and then he provided some suggestions on how to clean up the excess water. I decided to wait until the next morning. His service guy showed up the next morning first thing in the morning, unclogged the drain pipe in about 15 minutes and also cleaned up the excess mess around the drain caused by the back up. I was really happy he took care of that for me. The cost was exactly what he said it would be. Overall - I was very happy with their service and would call them again if needed.

It went well. I have a older home around 100 years old so they had some trouble fitting the equipment into the sewer to clean it however they did it it in and cleaned it as best they could. The cap on the sewer did break and I had to pay to replace but that was to be expected since it was so old. Overall they did a good job.

I had purchased an Angie's List super saver coupon for $99 in July of 2012 for a main sewer line video inspection and cleaning from American Sewer. 14 months later, 2 months after the coupon expired, I contacted Jonathan Pullis, the company owner, via e-mail and asked him if he would honor the coupon. He kindly replied that he would. We scheduled an appointment via e-mail. The day of the appointment an individual from American Sewer contacted me via phone and confirmed that he would be at the house to do the inspection and cleaning. I was not home when the work was done, but the individual called me when he had finished the job and explained what he observed with the scope/inspection and that he had cleaned the main sewer line all the way out to the connection with the city sanitary sewer line. Thanks to Jonathan Pullis and American Sewer for going above and beyond by honoring an expired coupon. If our house has sewer line issues in the future, Mr. Pullis and American Sewer have earned my business.

Great service. He was thorough and explained what he was doing as he was working. Nice, friendly guy. We will use his services again.

Rob took the time to make sure the job was done professionally and thoroughly. He explained all that he was doing and how the systems worked. He also provided a recommendation on annual maintenance. This was all done for a very fair price.
