He communicated to me clearly what debris he found in each line. He was also careful not to make a mess in the basement.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good. I chose to go with them because of the coupon. I added some services and they charged me what was advertised. They were on time and knowledgeable.

Everything was great, just great! The experience was more positive. He was very nice and went the extra mile. We were charged nothing but $99.

Jonathan was excellent. I left a message on Sunday that my sewer had backed up. He called me later in the day and we set up a time for Monday. (The waters had receded so this was fine for me. He said it was the first weekend in 7 years that he had shut down.) He did a video (I asked for this) and showed me the problem and that it was clear before he left. I will definitely call him for regular maintenance. He is professional and kind. He cleaned up when finished. I thought the price (which included the video) was reasonable. Excellent work. Nice person.

This company is fabulous. We discovered water in the basement from a drain overflow at 11 AM in the morning. They told us not to use any water so the problem would not get worse. The company representative arrived at 4 PM - laid down a tarp so that he would not get our carpets dirty and then proceeded to clear the train and guaranteed his work. They provided prompt reliable and cost-effective service and I have already recommended them to our townhome Association to put on their vendor list.

Excellent response to inquiry on a Saturday. Scheduled for Monday. Called 20 minutes before arriving near the beginning of the 2 hour service window. Professional and nice to work with.

It was fabulous, He was absolutely amazing. Jonathan, the actual owner, did the work and did a fabulous job. He was the third plumber we had had out. The other two had said we would have to dig up the yard, etc. He actually came out and listened. He brought some extra tools, got in there, and got it cleared out. He cleaned up the mess.

In short: CALL HIM, he's amazing! Nice, honest, helpful, prompt, responsive - and got the job done. Even went above and beyond on the coldest day of the year to get us in! Here's the full story? After New Year's Eve, our main-floor toilet seemed clogged. We tried plunging, etc., but nothing seemed to work. I called our regular plumber, but their "drain guy" was out on vacation, so I checked Angie's List for another option and found Jonathan. He completely exceeded my expectations!! He'll be a regular in my "house contacts" from now on. I called him on Friday, left a voicemail and heard back from him the same day. I explained the problem, and he actually described to me how I could try to fix it on my own!? Wow. He made sure we had another toilet (2nd bathroom) to use so that it wouldn't be an emergency situation over the weekend, but said to just give him a call if our efforts didn't work. They didn't, so I called him on Monday - literally the coldest day of the year and in recent history. He answered his cell right away and was super nice in explaining that they were backed up (no pun intended) due to all of the freezing pipes, but he would try to get someone out Mon. or Tues. I assured him we were fine so I didn't expect to hear back until Tuesday. So on Monday night around 8:30 I got a call and it was Jonathan - still out doing calls and helping customers because of the cold - and he was near our house and offered to come over and fix the toilet, no extra "off hours" charge. WOW! He and an assistant came in, augured (?) the toilet, and finally brought up?..a makeup compact that had fallen in from the cabinet above the toilet. Oops. Anyway, he stood by his original estimate/charge of $89 and had our toilet running perfectly and was off - hopefully a good ending to a very long day for him and his guys. Jonathan will be my first phone call the next time there's a clog we can't handle. Highly, highly recommended!

None found! I watched the whole process and was completely impressed. Rob was extremely knowledgeable & professional. I've had this main sewer line cleaned dozens of times over the years, and American Sewer did a much better and more thorough job. I'm very pleased.

Like many other homeowners we tried to clear the drain with chemicals and mechanical devices that we had on hand, with no success. Selected American Sewer because of their high Angie's List ratings. Called Jonathan around 9:30 a.m. and got his voicemail. Before I could complete leaving a message, Jonathan called back to respond. He checked his calendar and found that he could do the work immediately. Arrived with his assistant (sister) at 10:25 a.m. They correctly diagnosed the problem, selected the right equipment and went right to work. They were professional, respectful and communicative. By 11:00 a.m. they had cleared the clogged drain, ensured that they had cleaned up any mess and were on their way. I couldn't ask for better service and will certainly call American Sewer in the future.

Sunday morning I finally despaired of unclog going the kitchen sink myself and called in the professionals. Within minutes of texting Jonathan we had an appt set up for 1 pm same day. He was very professional, even putting on a pair of indoor overshoes so as not to track in. Turns out an extreme pt of the pipe was frozen. He worked diligently to clear it and only charged me for an hour despite it taking longer. Very nice man, explained what he was doing, respectful and cleaned up.

The kitchen sink was draining slow and sometime backing up in the utility sink in the basement. The washer also back up in another sink in the basement. My initial guess was that the drain pipes might have started to clog or freeze because the temperature was hitting in the negative in the last few days. Since it was not that urgent, as I could get by for couple of days..., I had an appointment on Monday to avoid emegency trip charge. However, on Saturday, I got a call from them saying that they in the area and, if I'm home, they'd like to kook at it. He checked some things out and rule out pipe freezing. He was apparently very clear about what was going on. He unclogged two drain pipes and they are working good now. He was courteous and professional. Also cleaned up after the work.

We had a slow-draining utility sink that caused a backup and minor flooding in our basement bathroom on a Saturday morning. I texted Jon and he suggested that if I could wait 'til Monday things would be considerably less expensive; otherwise he offered to be out in a couple of hours. I had already cleaned things up and shut off water to the area, so I elected for Monday. One of his crew showed up in the stated time frame, and within an hour was able to clear the clog from a very tortuous set of drain pipes. He did need my assistance in determining whether his device was progressing through the correct pipes, 'though, as he was operating from the bathroom where access was straightforward, and the clog was in a drainpipe in the utility room. Was courteous, professional and didn't leave a mess.

Cleaned the drain line under the kitchen, from the basement to the main drain (near the perimeter of the house) and then video inspected the main drain from the center of the house to the street, about 125 feet.

Clogged cast ion side sewer line underneath basement slab from laundry/kitchen to Main. Someone dumped a bunch of Thanksgiving leftovers down the kitchen sink and gave an already slow drain the final blow (I wasn't happy!). Gave me time slot 1-4pm and told me they would call 30min ahead so I could go to work. Called at 1:45, showed up at 2:15, done before 3:00. Snaked through twice and drains better than ever before now. Glad I didn't try it myself since clog was about 20ft in close to Main - definitely worth the $89 spent. Also didn't try to sweet-talk me into additional services, just left magnetic calling card if ever needed in future.

Jonathan did a great job of clearing two clogged drains in my house, one of which was very difficult to clean. The job took much longer than planned, but he stuck with it until the drain was finally clear.

Root rooter and Ben Franklin wanted $350, these guys were faster, and only wanted $90 and didn't try to sell me a monthly cleaning plan. I will recommend!

Cleaned my sewar line..ran a camera..cleaned a bath drain..it was fine..I have used them before on investment properties...responsible..

After my basement utility room flooded, I quickly realized that a clogged drain somewhere was to blame, and the slow floor drain needed looking at. I called American Sewer based on Angie's List reviews and Jon answered my call right away. It was late in the day, so Jon said he'd be out the next morning. He was very professional and knowledgeable and asked a lot of questions. He had to use a type of concrete blade to get the drain cover off, which took a lot of time. He recommended a main sewer line inspection and scope, but the equipment needed was with a fellow worker, Rob. Jon had Rob come out to the house with the equipment needed (tarps and drop cloths were used extensively to minimize carpets getting dirty) and the mainline was cleared of roots that impeded the flow of water. Between the two of them, they cleaned everything out, wiped up the mess, and solved my problem. I will hire them again for a yearly inspection of my main line (which hadn't been done in at least 24 years)

Jonathan and Esther are a great team and delightful to have. They were very responsive to an immediate need on a Friday night before a holiday week. They charged more because it was after hours but we felt that was a reasonable request. They came right away and got the job done quickly and thoroughly.

Jon was great. Called in the morning and they were out same afternoon. Cleaned the lines and replaced a plug that was missing. I would use them again.

The job they did was excellent. Ben was on time and called ahead to let us know he was on the way as promised. He was very thorough in checking to make sure that the clog was where we thought and did an excellent job in cleaning it. I was very impressed at how clean he was and how clean the floor was when he left. Ben is a very polite and professional and I will recommend him to my neighbors.

Ready to use protective foot covers upon arrival. Professional, courteous, thorough, tidy. Price estimate was exactly what was charged, no upcharging, no mystery fees. Honest appraisal and cost. Will be my first and only call next time I am in need. Highly recommended.
