American Sewer

Someone planted an oak tree over my sewer line's connection to the city. I have to have the roots cleared periodically. American Sewer did the job. Arrived within the expected window. It took him awhile to get everything in and he thought he was missing a tool and went to get a replacement, so that took a little longer. But the job itself went well. I did have to buy a new cap, because the previous provider used one that was the wrong size/type and it wasn't easily removed. The drain is running clear until the next time the roots build up too much. I would use American Sewer LLC again.

After living in my home 12 years, I wanted my main drain line inspected with a camera to see if I could face potential problems in the future. I am also considering building a new garage in my front yard and knew the possibility of an old septic tank could be there. Rob came out in difficult winter driving conditions. He was professional in every way. To my extreme delight, his camera not only showed a perfectly clean drain line (I have trees, so it's a welcome surprise), but he also located the connection from the old septic tanks and the approximate location from the clean out. He also determined the main sewer line was run in the yard across the street from me. He described the type of drain I have (cast iron, not clay tiles). I was able to view the entire drain on the screen and see for myself how it all looked. Thanks Rob!

It took less than one hour to complete. The problem was fixed completely. We have had no more water back up at all.

Jonathan was very, very accommodating, and helpful....particularly when he heard my "can wait" issue became more urgent. His service was a fraction of the cost that the national/big guys charge. For the first time, I don't feel taken when desperate for drain service. Very down to earth, friendly guy! American Sewer is my new go-to for main line and plumbing assistance.

They did a great job and in a short time opened up the drain. He gave me a lot of suggestions of what to do and what not to do regarding my disposal and sink. I would hire them again in the future.

Prompt, professional, explained in detail what they found. Went through house and ran all sinks and flushed toilets to make sure issue was resolved. They knew what they were doing and just did it and cleaned up after. Very pleased with the service - would use again.

Everything was great except that the service provider did not seem aware of the terms of the Angie's list package/big deal and I had to remind him of the toilet inspection. I don't think he really did the full inspection as listed, but we were happy with the other services.

I first reached out via phone to Johnathan and he set out to find us an opening the same day, since it wasn't an emergency that was a nice surprise. He called back to tell us a time when they would be out. However, we received a call to let us know that they would be late (well before being late) due to another job running longer. It was wonderful to have that kind of follow-up. Bob who was coming to perform the toilet tune-up arrived and got right to work. He tested the toilet, ran the auger through, did a water test to determine if the problem was in the toilet or the line. Once it was determined that it was the toilet itself, he serviced the toilet and it is working wonderfully! We should have called earlier to have this easy fix performed.

Working with Jonathan was very straightforward and I was very satisfied with the work done and the price. I would definitely work with this company again.

I had a gross, smelly clogged drain in the main pipe which flooded the laundry room sink. This is the 10th or so time we've had this problem - other than the last 4, my husband has been able to clear it himself. The other 3 clogs we used Roter Rooter - at the tune of $300+ per visit. They never accurately diagnosed the root cause of the problem - just sold me some overpriced "enzyme" drain cleaner, told me they'd have to rip up my floor for about $5,000 to see what was wrong and went on their merry way. I decided to use an independent business owner this time. What a difference!!! Jon scheduled me right in (despite having a baby within the past week!), showed up well within the given time frame and got right to work. Not only did he clear the clog - and by that I mean he actually cleaned the pipes - for less than a third of the price of Roter Rooter, but he also offered me a deal to scope the pipes with a camera. There he found a tiny crack and quoted me less than $500 to get it fixed, but assured me it'll be a while before this crack becomes necessary to correct. I am absolutely planning to call Jon with any future plumbing problems.

They're very clean. They did a further investigation to find out that I had a problem from the main line to the streets. He explained everything really well and guaranteed his work for a year.

They cleaned it up for a very reasonable cost, especially compared to other companies I've used in the past.

Resolving our issue was outside the scope of his services, but he was instrumental in identifying the problem. Fair price, very responsive, great service.

Good. Cleaned out downstairs drain and then when issue wasn't resolved tried to clean out sewer line, but found sewer collapse. We then needed to work with a sewer evactuation company.

The experience was fine. He didn't find anything, so that was good. The guy came out and he brought everything. He was pretty friendly. He did a good job. He was pretty quick. He didn't anything extra so. It is singly guy kind of operation. I thought he would clean, but he just inspected the sewer. It was nothing like that. The price was a lot for what he did. The quality was decent. He was responsive. I would use him again in the future, but will make sure to pay him for what he does.

They were punctual and finished the work in a timely manner. He was clean and arrived on time.

I had this problem 4-1/2 months ago and hired a different company that charged an excessive rate and didn?t fix the problem correctly. This time I found American Sewer on Angie?s list. It was a Saturday afternoon and again there was water on the floor from the backup. American Sewer was very busy and it was a Saturday, but they made it out to my house at 9:30 pm. The worker was very friendly and professional. He augured the line all the way out to the street and then scoped the line. We could see that the line was completely cleared. The total price was $375. I feel that this is a completely fair price for the work and especially on a Saturday night. I would definitely use American Sewer again and I highly recommend them to others.

Very thorough and friendly. They left some scratches on the toilet that they offered to come remove, but I was able to remove them myself with some special instructions from them.

He was extremely thorough and was careful to clean up afterward. He also gave me very useful information about maintainence of my sewer line to prevent future problems with tree roots.

Johnathan was very quick to respond, polite, and easy to set up an appointment, however my location would require a site visit fee of $50 which I did not count on when I looked at the service provider coverage map. Overall I may use his services in the future because of the excellent reviews but will use a closer contact for my current needs.

I think they did what they could. I would probably not use them again. I would probably like a more professional presentation. He was just bringing a sister along to help out. It was a little bizarre.
